ናይ ተማሃራይ ኣማኑኤል ተስፋስላሰ GPA 3.94 ክኸውን ከሎ ናይታ ትሕቲኡ ዝነበረት ተማሃሪት GPA 3.91 እዩ ነይሩ። ይኹን እምበር፣ ኣማኑኤል ብሰንኪ ዜግነቱን ስደተኛ ብምዃኑን ሽልማት ከምዝተነፍጎ እቶም ምንጭታት ኣረዲኦም።
ተማሃራይ ኣማኑኤል፣ ቅድሚ እቲ ወግዓዊ መመረቕታ ብመሰረት ዘመዝገቦ ልዑል GPA ኣብ ኣራት ኪሎ ቀዳማይ ምዃኑ ተነጊሩዎ ኣፈናዊ ሽልማት ‘ውን ተዋሂቡዎ ክንሱ ኣብቲ ኣብ ሚልየነም ኣዳራሽ ዝተገብረ ሃገራዊ ስነስርዓት መመረቕታ ግን ድሕሪኡ ዝነበረት ኢትዮጵያዊት እቲ ወርቃዊ ሽልማት ተዋሂቡዋ።

Dear assena followers, from ethiopian universities point of view unless you preach about eplf nobody even cares where you are from or it doesnt matter where you are from. You can be from tigray or Eritrea (tigrinya) or from afar state or Eritrea eri-afar. The game is not to be a drop out and finally to be graduated. But we the cyber poeople are to judgmental and far away from practical thing.

Let us not mix two things here. (If the story is true)
The first one is policy. Ethiopian policy toward giving educational chance to Eritrean refugees. This whether with the help from UN or not should be commended and every Eritrean should be grateful to Ethiopia.
The second one is academic. Once you are in class with other students, then everybody’s achievement should be treated equally. It is not fair for the teacher to say, “Hey Amanuel, you got an “A” in math 201 but I will give you just “B” because we gave you a chance to study, otherwise you would have been at the refugee camp, don’t complain just be grateful to Ethiopia.” That would be “not fair”.
As for Amanuel, I just want to say good job, keep it up.

You are right, the award is not a big deal. And on the other hand it is OK to talk about it for the sake of correcting a system, not for the sake of creating enmity. Actually ethiopia discriminated against eritreans not only in this kubd of case but also in visa. If u r an American citizen with eritrean origin, the same rule doesn’t apply like other usa citizens but different origin. If u r a somali origin american no problem, why do they discriminate for Americans with eritrean origin only. I feel ethiopians seems nice but deep un their heart still have the hate and ” hibri aynikum ” thing
