very intresting interview! thanks Assennai for bringing together two interesting personalities who know a lot about Eritrea and about what is going on. keep up the great work as always!
What is difficult to understand is that Gen Tekste speaks as if he was the mastermind, the executioner and as someone who was in all the important p;aces and heard who said what during the forto incident. This is really weird.
But what is worrying me is what he says he knows and how credible it is. So and so said this and so and so said that etc.! This is too detailed information for someone out of the country to know.
And my friend, after what has been happening to eritreans after liberation we have the right and duty to question credibility of anyone!
the belief of both progressive poletical cadre and army cadre was one dimentional view one dimension view in wich the best force of change for dimocracy and will defeat the cruel Esayas force. This progressive force they will bring to end the oppression. It is excellent comment of both tegadelti tekest and Asefaw.
What a stupid idea selam seweet. Obviously not you nor your relatives been affected by these thugs. For those who rule by sword should die by sword regardless how long it takes. Isias never killed with a gun himself but he delegate it to others to do the dirty job for him who gladly willingly happily kill innocent civilians ,children and women and many became orphans. You should know that he is hiding from his victims and not from the dictator isias. Ali was living like a king while sucking children blood and now he is living like a king where ever he is while the people he arrested them are still in dark prison. Let me tell you he is hiding in case the if Isias release those people arrested by Ali and make their way to where Ali lives then they will revenge and kill him. I should go back to Eritrea and help the dictator kill people because you going to forgive me and I will claim I was ordered to kill. Selam you are defying human nature. Justice must be served regardless how long it takes. Not forgive not forget. That’s why the NAZI soldiers are hunted up to today to face justice. We should prepare an indictment against Ali at The Hague and who ever harboured him should hand him to the international criminal court. Otherwise he should face the Eritrean way an eye for an eye. If you do not believe that you are a bogus supporter of justice. I did not know that salih younis is his brother now I know why he was defending him furiously. Ali abdu did his best to destroy Eritreans and his brother did his best to harbour the fugitive and tell every body lies. And accused asssena as contributing to the arrest of Ali’s daughter. If it was me I will hand her his family to isias so to test he crime of her father
The country that has harboured Ali must be an enemy of not only the Eritrean people, but also all peace loving people. Not only Ali is guilty of the dirty job done till now, but also all Puppets of Isayas who even sympathize the dictator. It is a question of humanity!
Yes, the people who have commited crimes upon helpless civilians will atain the revenge they deserve. Besides we will pursue them until the end of their life like the NAZIs of Germany/Hitler, where ever they are!!
With due respect to Assenna with all the wonderful reporting and dedication you’re doing, what is the purpose of bringing people like dr. Asefaw to an interview. It really doesn’t make any sense to me when someone like Asefaw who doesn’t have any commitment to come out to a meeting or demonstration only few miles away from where he lives and every now and then you invite him for things like this when things are said and done by ordinary Eritrean heroes. Please concentrate on the real people who can make a difference to our cause. He is clueless, after your interview the question of Eritrea is out of question in the Dr.’s mind.
thx,
WE , We all Eritreans in general, EPLFites and pfdjists and the secret party ppl as well, gave the KEY, key of our ERITRA., to open and close, right? Now is high time to collect the KEY, IF possible peacefully, if not by force, the language DIA understands, I think. Right?
Solomon your critic and dissatisfaction that you have against Dr. Asfaw it doesn´t seem to me because he not participates at any demonstration, but because you don´t like his patriotism, his real Eritrean sentiment and a positive vision that has for future free democratic Eritrea is. Please how you dare to criticize for one highly educated person, because exposing the barbaric and inhuman nature of the non Eritrean mercenary regime hidden agenda to his people? When Dr. Asefaw all the time by respecting the invitation interview when sharing ideas, is it not by itself more than a commitment than participating at any demonstration? My friend every person in what he can if contribute for the struggle that is enough. In my view it is not must a doctor or any other very important person to go to the street for demonstration. If someone do that i don´t mean it is sin. Even in my resent comment to Ammanuel Iyasu as very important person for Eritrea, i worn him not all time to go to at for front for fighting, because i so scared PFDJ Mafias not to targeting him. in other word what i am saying is his outstanding journalism and others dedication by itself is more than a commitment, demonstration and other activities could be done by ordinary people like me, you and others.
If you like to criticize regarding, speak about others so called intellectuals who absence, contributing nothing but are opportunists. Where are for instance, Haile Menkerious, Dr Andebirhan, Amare etc?
Great presentation: Dr. Asefaw’s assertion that the regime is not as strong as it had been makes sense. Isaias is falling apart is what i understood from the perspective of the two intelligent brothers. This makes sense and we will wait optimistically for something to take place soon.
What is interesting is that the time has arrived for the president to leave the people alone by popular consences. Both agree that the spark is ignited and will continue burning the reactionary forces that stand in the way. They both gave me the confidence I need on our people and I liked the advise of the Doctor that every Eritrean should try to focus on the common cause to energize the resistance. Very well stated in my opinion. THANK U.

It is beter to concentrate on what he is saying rather than diminishing his contribution. That is not good. He told you what he knows about it.
