Regardless Partisan politics these leadership betrayed the promise made on 30 yrs

Remember we paid precious Eritreans lives and the aim was to free our people from

Dr . Misghina spoke about ask why Eritreans are reluctant to ask
for forgiveness . He mentioned some individuals as an example
which is true for sentiment of endless cycle of resentments contrary to change of the memory of the past .
If Dan Connell apologized for Eritrean people for trusting this evil
leadership why not those Eritreans come forward to say we were
victims of betrayal out of simple trust for good cause .
If members of the regime join the justice movement, they should be welcomed and made feel comfortable so they can contribute. Apologizing or the demand for it is not a bad thing. But we shouldn’t be fixated on it, or else it will just be a distraction from important issues. It could also discourage people from coming forward.
I have heard the the first and seconds part of the interview, he gave a lot of honest advice eventhough he was often mentioning real names of people living in Eritrea, without giving a due regard to their safety.
But what i found more ourageous was his unprecedented attack and blackmail, on the members of the Pentecostal faith. He clearly fabricated two examples and called for the destruction of such a faith in Eritrea. Such a statement coming out of a person who claims to have a Phd and two masters is mindboggling to say the least and hate speech at its worst. I would honestly hope as he tried to preach for the promotion of culture of tolerance, you have offended tena of thousands of Eritreans with your statement. If you are an academic and surprisingly done your Phd in the US, you could have read the constitution of the United states article first and seconds, which clearly guarantees religious freedom.
It was shocking nekter Amanuel Iyasu or others in the audience failed to challenge him while making fun of other religious group and calling for their expulsion.
I expect him to correct his remark otherwise he could be liable to legal incrimination, what he just said is on record.
If Eritreans have the culture of challenging individuals, group or government when they make
mistakes, we would not find ourselves in this misery.
when he was taking about religion adversely, Rather than challenging him they all laughed. That was the pattern when DIA was delivering a horible talk or belittling a group or individuals people were laughing and clapping. We created DIA that is the reality and still we are doing the same thing after 24 years.
I wasn’t impressed with your condemnation of ‘Pente’. People have the right to chose what ever religion they want whether it is penete, johova what ever. Because you do not like certain faith you do not condemn it. What makes you different from shaebia? As an ‘educated’ I was expecting you would respect other peoples faith.
Remember the saying
First they came for the Jews and I did not speak out because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for the Communists and I did not speak out because I was not a Communist. Then they came for the trade unionists and I did not speak out because I was not a trade unionist. Then they came for me and there was no one left to speak out for me.

Pentecostal church are demanding their god given rights to worship, not in overseas but inside Eritrea despite the harsh treatments they receive.
Jehovah’s whiteness demand their god given right to abstain from voting or politics, and they are the first religion group to be persecuted due to exercising their faith, and they are still in prison for more than 20 years and they are in Eritrea despite the harsh treatment.
Some Muslims are persecuted and imprisoned due to their faith just to exercise their god given rights.
You are in diaspora running form Eritrea for your life (I am not sure which religion you represent) yet you are funny enough to lecture people who to worship or not.
Dr with due respect don’t you think democracy is respecting a minority rights.
In your detailed lecture, you mentioned that religion in America shaped the democracy. Do you think only those religion you had mentioned participated in the process?
What about the minorities?
I will leave this as a home work to you dear brother.
What kind of reconciliation are you preaching a majority reconciliation?
I could ask you more but … I think that is enough.
I don’t think Eritreans are learned from their mistakes yet.
I was thinking of listening to the audio but reading thru the comments, the good Dr. has pissed off some worshipers. If he had said bad things about Pentecostal religion, it is definitely wrong. I don’t care if someone believes in any religion or not b/c that is that person and God’s business. Who am I to say this religion is correct and the others are not? In my case, I have no affiliation to any of the denomination (mind you that I believe in God) but I respect each of them. I expect you do the same toward me. Why? Because it is nice thing to do and it is my rights.
One person commented that this guy has a PhD and 2 Masters. Yeah, but he has in those fields. Commonsense, on the other hand, is like a totally different field itself (not saying the Dr. has no common sense). This is where the theory of “ምሁር ይቕተልካ” fails. ከምኡ ስለዝኾነ ‘የ ድማ ዋላ ሓደ ክቐትለኒ ዘይደሊ።

If you listen again his speech , he mentioned Pente in one sentence as an example
of his search for spiritual journey by saying ” ab Pente kheyde gn axliuni nab tewahdo
kheyde ” . He spoke honestly about his self choice but didn’t another word to offend its
followers , And then he spoke his negative experience in detail with Tewahdo church .
For some reason some commentators try to distort the subject out proportion to bring
contradictions irrelevant to his intention on matters we should give prior attention .
My respond to you is to share my observation on some comments which might derail
us up to wrong direction of important discussion . Because I don’t see why we like to
focus on minor issues at time of life and death situations , RESPECT .

Though you made some valid points, slandering numerous people and a faith group makes you come across as judgmental, bigoted and opportunist.
