“Only the strongest survived,” Simona Moscarelli, a legal expert for the group, told the Associated Press. Most of the migrants – all of whom are believed to have come from Eritrea – could not swim, she added.

Only three of an estimated 100 women aboard the boat have been rescued, while no children had so far been saved, the International Organisation for Migration in Rome said.

The Eritrean government doesn’t care about its citizens, cuz it is not a peoples government. Moreover DIA is not a real Eritrean to care about Eritreans. So as true Eritreans we should all united and topple this diabolic guy and lets chop him in pieces in the street of Asmara. Lets all rise.

Instead of blaming on one person and talk none sense why not work together and work for the best…trash talking does not help its just makes you what kind an idiotic you are. Have a blessed day and try to be wise!

        Awet
Instead of blaming one person???? The dictator is everything in Eritrea, he is not just one person.

        • Awet October 4, 2013

you seem to put meaningless words in your mouth before you understand them, you sound like you want to change the regime but the news is talking about people (our brothers and sisters ) being treated like their nothing by some VERY cruel and selfish, who does not care about another people’s life but only care about the piece of papers (which is the dirty MONEY) by all means (the smugglers) so now you can tell me why are you politicize this tragedy? you should be working towards to how can we stop a tragedy like this, and not only you but all of us should. This human tracking should never politicize because regardless how the politics or the regime good or bad, there are people out there who can put people’s live in very huge and unspeakable risks just for the sake of money. so I tell you once again, the none less talking and the “dictator” trash doesn’t give you any help you can ever hope for and you want change, lets start with ourselves.

          • Andom Woldu October 4, 2013

@Awet , very good! Though we “Eritreans have agreed not to agree”, as you said it, lets start with ourselves. We cann’t get a better chance than now. The decayed so called government of (one-man show) DIA is at the end, no more power from in-and outside of the country. The time of Wedi-Afom SHIKOR is over with his Korakur. WAKE UP country men&women!

political or no political. The Eritrean people will hold the dictator (mastermind) of our peoples’ misery responsible one way or anther. Is the dictator doing this alone. NO. He has his supporters who are greedy and ruthless. They too will be held accountable.
            Genet

        Awet,
What are you talking about. A single person is in charge of Eritrea. The rest are papagalo. He is the only NiC.

        • Awet October 4, 2013

A single person is in charge of Eritrea? I want you to read to that to yourself out loud and tell me if it actually make sense. The people of Eritrea are in charge, you just happened not to notice the people speak in one voice and are united in one heart. so NO, NOT a single person is in charge of the beloved country.

          • tekeste October 4, 2013

What a poor perception. You are trying to defend the criminal dictator who is responsible for all the misery the country is. Fortunately, eritreans are aware more than any time that they one and only one enemy that is the diaboli isayas. Be on people side. Do learn also manner.

          • ERITRAWIT October 4, 2013

Awet, please take the old rotten Nakfa mendelai temen to Tembein do us fever don’t come back stay where u belong…..

          • MightyEmbasoyra October 4, 2013

            Awet,
Are you really that naive not to see it. Which people are you talking in charge? The person like you who are sitting in the luxury (compare living in Eritrea)? Or the people who are suffering at home? Or the people who are dying everywhere, like this news?
No, you can’t be that naive.

          • Genet October 9, 2013

            Awat
Dying tragically in the hundreds also is speaking clearly about their lives, in Eritrea under the dictator. Eritrean people didn’t make Eritrea hell on earth. The dictator and his supporters did. Awat, if you are sad about this tragedy, and you should be as an Eritrean, but you are not making sense. Eritrean people are not in control of our country. Eritrean people are speaking loud and clear; they are screaming for help. If you are one of those die hard dictator’s supporter, time is running out for you. No body should respond to you, if you really think the Eritrean people are in control of Eritrea. There is no point to argue with you. You are the first victim of the dictator. You have no idea. You are just a walking dead.
            Genet

  • Zeray October 3, 2013

Eritrean enemy is the one who oppress, dehumanize, brutalize, torture, who make the country unbearable and unlivable, the one who aid and abate other criminals to inflict crimes against Eritreans, whose philosophy is full of lies and deception, whose goal is to destroy others, and the one who has no respect for God or country. The name of this enemy is PFDJ led by the dictator Issayas Afwerke.

    • Awet October 4, 2013

aren’t we so quick to open our mouth with very childish and disagreeable words MR. Zeray? so quick to speak very poor words but yet not so quick to wise up and speak the truth, its understandable though, for truth to come out our mind to be clear and wise. Have a fantastic day, try to speak intelligent words it may surprise you how it can brighten up your day.

        Awet

i think you are considering the lose as victory against the people? because the hidden message behind your name (awet) implies some thing demonic content. are you one of the persons who have formed a front against the people of Eritrea? these people (the commentators) are telling you not to talk or respond to an effect of some thing evil. this death is an effect of the obvious reason that every body is aware. the cause is the Issaias regime. and the effect is the exodus and death. lets do not talk about the effect sidelining the cause. you can not be different and wiser than other Eritreans. nebsika aytegagiya….kali’ot zeyrayuwo yiri aleku elka aytihseb. but if you are Weyane collaborator , you are right this holocaust is VICTORY for you….

  • kk October 3, 2013

I think by now most of the eritreans know who their enemy is. The only solution to what we are in is to get rid of the dictator. Stop crying.

  • marsa October 3, 2013

What a sad day, are those (Nehna nusu) idiots watching this terrible things happening to our brothers and sisters
This is what their master mad dog dog doing to our people. The mad is responsible for all this crime,
It is a one man show.

  • josef October 4, 2013

So the whole world is talking about these poor eritrean victims, and the hgdef biased media do no even want to mention it! Instead keep counting the sins of weyane and America! Wey gud!

  • abrham October 4, 2013

please eritreans be eritreans let us tell the truth and be responsible with the fact .Let all of us know evry body is responsible with the case.even the youths who died with thier pregnant sisters and 3 years old child are responsible for thier death.b/ce if they fear tobe martyred respectively for their people, Why they didn’t fear to die and lose their families money in hand of cruel ones. And its known some of them will say ‘WE DONT HAVE A PROBLEM IN OUR COUNTRY WE COME JUST TO SEARCH BETTER LIFE GOOD JOB’ so we eritreans why we are hiding our wounds to the world aFter we fleed from our biter like a dog to his oner, why don’t we think to our brothers and sisters who we left them in hand of the biter(regim). We eretreans why are we flooding like a storm to well-come the dectator like we did in 2 011 in united-states.At last let us ask our self one quetion! saying why are we lying to the world after we fleed from the dectator? In reality we don’t have any another answer. Our only answer is that ‘BECAUSE WE DON’T CARE ABOUT OUR PEOPLE WHO WE LEFT THEM IN THE HAND OF THE DECTATOR AFTER THE WORLD TREATED OUR WOUNDS’
