There is no formal constitution, and every male starting at age 18 must enter “national service,” which is forced labor of indefinite length (evaders are jailed or killed). People with unsanctioned religious beliefs are imprisoned and tortured, as are journalists and activists. More than 50,000 Eritreans have escaped to refugee camps in Ethiopia. Western officials allege that Afewerki is aiding Al Qaeda–linked militants in Somalia.

The worst African dictator is Omar al Beshir of Sudan. He killed more than half a million Africans in Darfur in the name of Islam and Arabization. Worse was the Arab League did not even condemn his atrocities. The truth is the Arabs were arming and financing his wars to kill the Moslem Darfurs, Bejas and the Southern Sudanese. Did the Conference of Islamic Nations also condemn Sudan’s Omar al Beshir? No, they did not open their mouths. They saw the people of Darfur and South Sudan “not worthy of people to deserve defense”.
Yes, Issaias is in but where Meles Zenawi? He is a leader who represents 5% Tigraians over 90 million Ethiopians.

What a useless assenna is. The above list was lifted from parade dot com, where the said website had invited its site visitors to click on an online poll! guess what, the woyanes were hard at it trying to up the numbers. But given the ‘crimes’ you list up there, that is hardly the worst in Africa much let alone the world. How does that compare to massacring 200+ peaceful protesters, denying food aid to the starving based on suspicion being opposition, raising villages to the ground with mothers and children inside, genocide of ethnic anuak and somali, imprisoning anybody you don’t like as terrorist, invading neighboring countries, striping off the assets of deportees and marching them off across mined fields, using human mine sweepers, stealing a nations wealth and impoverishing people willfully, mounting terrorist attack inside your own territory and blaming it on others… Assenna, you need to research your articles than scavenging it off garbage cans!

First of all, if you have problem with the ranking or the reasoning, go after Parade, not Assenna.
Secondly, Eritrea is the only African country without constitution, without free press, without vice president or vice head of state, without parliament, national service without time limit, 2% income fees without mandate… So if you add all of these of course it will be the #1 dictatorship in Africa.

1. Are there container prisons in Eritrea? If you said NO…that explains you are only Eritrean by blood but no clue wha is occuring.
2. How is it G-13 are wrong? G-15 are wrong? Ethiopis is bad, Sudan( now South Sudan) is bad, Somalia is bad, Kenya is Bad, Djibouti is bad and Eritrea is not and PIA is alwasy right? If you argue this and justify it …then your head needs to be examined however elogquent you pen every day(thanks to the democractic western society who availed this).

why do the DIA puppets compare their master to Meles or the Woyanes..DIA is not only one of the most brutal dictators in the world but also in the history of the world. and if Meles is dictator that is a matter for Ethiopians as Meles is Ethiopian leader not Eritrean leader. I dont understand why the puppets want to see Meles along side DIA in every news story..Is that because that makes the puppets feel good..tough love!! you better focus on your house to avoid being kicked around by the woyanes instead of crying out ‘it is Meles fault’ all the time..Build a bridge and get over it.

DIA and his cornes are on the business of diversionary tactics and they excel on it. In fact a lot of Eritreans follow them because they depend on such ploy a lot to affect their nationalistice sentiments. As you can see, they try to connect Wayane/Ethiopia past deads with bitter struggle of 30 years. They connect USA stands with the federation and Haile Selasse days. They never talk with the contemparary poltices and strategies of these countries which is a lot different and positive with the aim to avoid disclosing their huge crimes to the nation and its nationality. In short they are being used as their scapegoats.

Let me tell you a joke but it has also a substance.Once upon a time, a child was very sick, and out of desperation she went to traditional healer( Witch). After the child was seen by the healer, he told her her child would not be cured unless the mother showed him the picture of the devil. Returning home she couldn’t find the picture of devil, after thinking that there is little difference between Devil and Issias, so she brought the picture of Issias and showed it to her son, but the child died in a matter of minutes. Full of tears , and deep in sorrow went back to the witch why her son died even though she had done what she was told but told she used the pic of DIA instead of Devil’s. The witch told the mother the child was died due to overdose of the medicine prescribed. ( i think u got the point)
