Questions:
1) Why are you telling us this? Should any group that meets another group ask your permission to do so?
2) Is your involvement mandatory for any meeting between the so called democratic groups to be justified?
3) If you are for the unity of the youth, why do you negatively polarize the Bolegna event for “democracy”?
4) Do you rationally think the Eritrean people will take your appeal seriously when they can no longer sustain your monotonous division and that of the opposition forces’? If you consider me one, I humbly can tell you that what you did is against the Eritrean resistance for peace and democracy.
5) What do you want? You call yourselves ስምረት ኤርትራውያን መንእሰያት ንለውጢ ሰሜን ኣሜሪካ:
ስምረት for what kind of change?
6) Your moto says ENOUGH: Enough of what? Dictatorship? And what is the solution? Division?
All the readers of the post were disappointed: if this does not wake all youth organizations up to how destructive they have been to the Eritrean society, nothing will. Please see the following comments
Petros Haile “Whoever you are, If you are willing to work with other political groups and civic organizations [you said it in the post] why not at least extend a solidarity message or wish them success, instead of posting a press release on how different you are from them … I wish all daily declaredgroups hold some kind of forum and let us know who you are and what you stand for? We don’t know who is who anymore !!!”
Almaz Gual Asmera: “It must be a curse to see the young, supposed to be bright, open minded, ready to be changed and make change,…are following the foot print of the traditional opposition. I think the people of Eritrea needs to make a U turn to GOD/Allah (which ever applies to anyone).”
Solomon seyoum: “I heard about the disarray within bayto three or four days ago… Now I am reading this message of disagreement within youth oppositions..These disarrays are clear signals of immature oppositions….. it is just unbelievable or awful. “
Hzbi: “EYSC, sitting in America and you are fighting for justice, pity, what have you done except calling people on the phone ?
just call a phone sitting in there and trying to make people die, then you will come Eritrea as a fighter. how shame you are !! get loss from the face of the people of Eritrea and don’t mention Eritrea either. you don’t represent Eritrean, you are prats, no one know you, you are missions of the brutal regime and you are become a barrier to the unite.”
just call a phone sitting in there and trying to make people die, then you will come Eritrea as a fighter. how shame you are !! get loss from the face of the people of Eritrea and don’t mention Eritrea either. you don’t represent Eritrean, you are prats, no one know you, you are missions of the brutal regime and you are become a barrier to the unite.”
Comment: This was an intense emotional discharge caused by frustration on the situation of the struggle for freedom and democracy in Eritrea: it signals a strong message to the youth leaders on how they are navigating the resistance.
Maluque: “what is the reason behind not participating in the meeting of Bologna? and why do they care about the name more than the objective of Bologna meeting? we just need peace and reconciliation in our country. it should be the sole national objective. what is behind giving different names and slogans to the movements for change. get united for the common objective first then you strive on becoming a focal point for the different political views. Join everybody whom you think , will have a contribution in realizing the dreams. it is not a matter of competition. it is of being pragmatic, nationalist, tolerant, forgiving, optimism and the like. try to win hearts and minds….what u have posted is really childish…”
Comment: Thanks Moluque for your very descriptive expression. It is about relating not competing. None of you has a better democracy than the other and neither of you has the mandate to represent the Eritrean people. You are equally important to us and you need to check out your ego and hallucination and get back to reality and sit down with your brothers and sisters to construct the national priority, UNITY, if you really respect your people. There is one concept of democracy and true believers of democracy apply it in action not in words.
Further:
Ghenet: “We all need to come out of our selfish shells and open up our minds and hearts to the demands and trust of the Eritrean people. If we cannot take off our pride-hats and bow to our people’s needs, we have to keep our mouth shut and not become spoilers. If we are not up to the task that demands commitment and magnanimity to work together by accepting our differences and focusing on our common points and goals, there we are done as a society and as a nation.
Here is another case in point of terrorism against the resistance:

Comment: I seriously do not know what is going on because of lack of effective communication between the Baito and the people. As you know, articles or radio broadcasts are hardly available from our forces and let alone foreigners we Eritreans in the resistance cannot understand what is going on in this situation. What is sad is that the youth is faltering within itself and the Baito scuffling it out behind the screen for things beyond our reach (only if the news is correct) at the wrong time, folks when a national conference is underway soon to take place in Addis.
And then another very sloppy goodie to the surprise of any sensible person closely monitoring the Eritrean melancholic drama:
August 04, 2013:Toronto Demonstration at Sheraton Hotel; Down Town : JOIN US!
“WHAT: Demonstration outside the Sheraton Hotel Down Town in solidarity with the Eritrean Sinai Victims and other refugees detained in Libya, Egypt, Yemen and the Sudan. We will speak on behalf of the Eritreans who came under barbaric, unprovoked attack by the Authorities of the Government of Eritrea and Human traffickers the Bedouins and Rashaidas. The protest will include photo exhibits of those who lost their lives due to the organ harvesting scheme and torture at Sinai. Informational flyers will be handed out to the attendants and the public.”
Comment: It is not clicking Folks as we witness history today where the Eritrean opposition forces are in complete disarray because of their obstinate and rigid mode of existence acquired probably from their experience, greed, stupidity or from their culture. You cannot emotionally dwell on the Eritrean issue without getting sick, thank God I have decided to resist without deeply personalizing the show as if it was a movie.
What happened in Canada according to the information was exclusive concentration of the participants on the effect without simultaneously giving attention to the root cause of the problem (division). Thank you for the great contribution from humanistic point of view but sorry for the worthlessness of your effort from practical solution point of view. I predict that you went home after the demonstration with no follow up assignment and congratulations for your consistency with the visionless Eritrean style of doing political business.
What do you lose including the burning question of UNITY of the forces and youth organizations in the activity? In what way would doing this contradict your mission of helping the Eritrean victims in Sinai? Don’t you think it would help you get better attention and stronger internal unity to swiftly get rid of the problem once and for all? Is not the Eritrean government the cause of all these problems? Is not UNITY the only way to change the situation in Eritrea and that of the victims’ you protested for? If this is the case, are not our divided forces and youth organizations the root causes of the problem because of their refusal to unite? Should not your responsibility be pressing all opposition forces to unite?
WAKE UP CALL: Are not you tired of psychologically and emotionally dying again and again by the leaders of the youth in the opposition camp? Dear Eritreans, it is time to think about this situation and find a solution immediately to get out of this cyclic failure.
I SUSSPECT A FOUL PLAY
Do the youth leaders read us in the websites by the way? Why are all demonstrations refusing to includethe question of unity alongside their issues in street demonstrations? Tens of demonstrations everywhere could not have missed shouting for UNITY with their grievances by accident! Folks, all the demonstrations that have been conducted did well tirelessly exposing the governments and the tragic situation of the people on timely basis but none of them so far did anything about pressurizing the forces and youth organizations to unite in public. The only issue that has been denied attention in our all inclusive demonstration is the priority of our people; UNITY.
I am sorry but I think we are all being taken for a ride by the youth leaders!!!Please do not make the government responsible here because it will do anything to keep on dividing us: I am questioning about the integrity of the Diaspora youth organizations and keen Eritreans should seek explanation to this mysterious negligence.
Do not expect anything more than this from me: I have been openly crying for unity in my capacity as an ordinary Eritrean and here I am doing it again. But, you have a serious challenge in front of your faces that you can no longer ignore. However way you may tackle the challenge is your business but something is wrong from within the leaderships of the youth organizations in the Diaspora that has stood in the way of the Eritrean zeal for freedom and democracy. The concept of UNITY has been intentionally arrested by the youth leaders in the Diaspora.
Truly Truly i say to you August 5, 2013
The fact that what we observing and understanding from this scenario is, PFDJ agents in one side by involving at any anti PFDJ oppositions movement while they successfully disfunctioning to every their threatening attempt, other side Woyane agents also by involving at any oppositions movement, so that they not unite when successfully disfunctioning their unity attempt it is. Because of that Eritrean oppositions unless by influential white man they be able to unite, believe me by own selves they will never come to unite for ever. That is why some white people rightly heard mockingly when saying, “Africans by themselves they will never unite; unless they be guided or supported by white man.” which i believe it is true even it hurts. But if you want to be free from every influence and by own selves to bring change, there is still a way. Forget unitedly! even i believe a single courageous person if takes an execute action against the main evil dictator, trust me could able to change the whole political drama in Eritrea dramatically! See the Ethiopian situation! Even there like in Eritrea the power was not possessed in one person hand, but a collective power; but after the death of Meles we seeing it how the political tension and instability is increasing there. So can you imagine this absolute totalitarian Eritrea´s tyrant if executed how the regime will be able to collapse easily? But the question remains, “who shall hang the bell about the cat´s neck?”

The fact that the motive of their opposition is either AWRAJA or RELIGION,their unity cannot go beyond that.

Mr. Futsum with all respect, I have been in favour of your articles but knowadays you are gone back to the minds of the old fighters. Before writing on issues of the youth you need to understand the practical mechanism of the youth development. I feel there are infiltrators like you who believe or seen knowledgeable. I think unity is not about writing an article but about paying a price.
If you understand the youth have several enemies than the old fighters, your tone will be changed. You need to see how the youth organisations are running and how the opposits are working hard to dismantle their movements.
PFDJ is the obvious enemy of the youth but the hidden enemies are the most enemies of the youth organisations.
fetsum abraham August 6, 2013
Hawleito;
Infiltration is not an excuse to fail again and again and please take the responsibility for your failure because you are allowing them to disturb ur unity.
u said “you need to understand the practical mechanism of the youth development”.does not this sound like the regime’s (Asararha natne alona). Who cares about what your internal administration is; we are talking about working in solidarity with other groups that u tried to obstruct through your post. It is our business to tell u mind your own business!!!Anytime someone criticizes you for your lack of focus you go say this person is an infiltrator, bla, bla. Those days are over. Either work for unity or keep on dancing alone but at lease stay away from involving in other people’s activities. If you were genuine, you would have seen all the comments and think about what u are doing. Do the right thing if u do not want to be in this situation. U guys brought this yourself and we are telling u how we feel about it: therefore swallow it

Thank you Mr. Futsum!!
You still didn’t understand my concern. Anyway keep writing hope you will have some followers. The youth needs solidarity and respect the elders. When I said infiltrators it doesn’t mean we accept them but there are some who can be misleaded. By the way I am not eysc and not from USA. I just concerned that your good articles are valuable for the future of a solidarised Eritrean movement for democratic change.
As we have seen eysc board, NA or Global no one is happy about their break ups. we need them one and one vision to fight pfdj. I hope all in one group would come to eysns to make the movement more powerful.
Tes August 6, 2013
Selamat Haw Fetsum,
Great article as usual it is timely and in deed your concern is on its place. I believe you are one of those who is wholeheartedly fighting for justice and express the need of unity as prerequisite to change . It is a sheer stupidity of youth for change in north America to declare they are not part of the Bolegna gathering or conference. Who cares whether this group or that participate or not. Having said that, the Bolegna gathering is a waste of time another hashewoye my bro. Any Eritrean believe PFDJ will listen to dialogue or can be removed by political maneuvering or peaceful are either they are agents of the evil junta or naive or who careless about Eritrean
Dawit Meconen August 6, 2013
This is what all Eritreans should be aware:
Eritrea does not belong to the youth only; it belongs to every body, old and young. But the most important is not the question of “ownership” but the flow of the proven wisdom of the past from the mature to the young.
Let alone we the rational beings, even the irrational animals do arm their kids with the necessary adaptive skills before they let them go on their own. Hence, the natural indispensabiltity of perpetual and harmonious co-oxistence of the young and the old for the continuity of our Sovereignty, heritage, language, wa of life etc.
Then who would be those who are day and night advocating to starve the youth from the nutritive wisdom of their older generation and what is the end they are viciously attempting to achieve?
Woyane is the No.l enemy of our country and people. There is no doubt that the treacherous woyane and its underground agents are the culprits behind this plot not only to delink the youth from the nutritive wisdom of their parents but also ,setting them up as the mortal enemies of their parents, and preying upon their ( the youth) immaturity,to realize its Chiken Dream of building of Abai Tigrai in ashes of our country.
Do I have concret justification for my claim?
Yes, I do, and I got it not after agonizing investigative work and logical analysis but straight from woyane, who dubbing it an organization of the fools is an understatement. Who else would publicly declare his supposedly hidden agenda of acquiring somebody’s properties in the form of Abai Tigrai Manifesto and then turn around to deceive and rob our people by feigning their well-wisher? This is what they call, putting the cart before the horses.
But why is woyane wasting its resources to acquire our country?
Among the many, the pernicious one is the incurable Inferiority Complex, sever lack of self-confidence. If anybody cannot comprehend this, I advise him/her to go to Tigrai and to personally witness the Truth in the Ministry Education, which is totally abandonning its Tigrai Tigrigna Dialect in preference of the Eritrean one. If not disease, what name would you give to one who hates his own and loves other’s?
Woyane within and Woyane without.
Isaias Afewerqi is woyane through and through. For decades, he managed to hide his true identity behind evasive tactics but no more. The 1998 War he illegally and unncessary launched against Ethiopia, and what he did in its aftermath– his willful suspension of the Baito and the Constitution, the arrest and incarceration of the Senior EPLF Officials, the all tigrai descent people he has surrounded himself, the situation of No War, No Peace he has purposely crafted and implemented to subject Eritreans into humiliation as a prelude to achieve his hidden agenda of Abai Tigrai—have all revealed his true Identity, his ugly monsterity, without any shred of a doubt.
As I have said many times, evasive euphemisms are his potent weapons, which he coins with extra-ordinary dexterity for any given occasion. Among the many, he used were “Petty Bourgeois Opportunists” and “Cheguar Dangas”. These slogans he used to drive wedges between the Tegadelti of peasantry origin and Eritrean Elites. He borrowed those Phrases from Communist Jargons to wipe out any intellectuals that could wake up to his secret agenda………..
The “Woyane Invasion” is another euphemistic evasion he used to inflict irreparable damage on Eritrean Psyche, his/her Patriotism, heritage, pride etc. Even after, the “Woyane Invasion” was invalidated, and Eritrea was declared the aggressor by the Claim Commission and he signed for it, he still uses the Phrase to mislead the Eritrean people in general and the Diaspora in particular.
He always says” We Were At The Highest Level Of Infrastructure Readiness To launch Our Economic Development When Woyane Invaded Us” . This is another evasive eumphemism to hide his true intent by fictitious claim.
” Self Reliance Ploy and Independent Foreign Policy” … evasive euphemisms whose intent is to isolate and kill the country and people in a pressure cooker.
“Foreign Saboteur”…. he invariably invokes against those Eritrean intellectuals he slates for decimation in order to keep his secret mission alive.
I cannot exhaust all the Evasive Euphemisms Isaias Afewerqi have been using to conceal his woyane identity, but we must realize we are waging two wars, internal and external, in which we have no choice but wine, of which the Unity is the Prime Prerequisite.

@Dawit,
my Eritrean brother, you said it all. I lived in Eritrean for long after and before the war with woyane. Eritrean ppl know that our enemy are eating us inside out. One thing I don’t really understand is why is this all smart Eritrean opposition party can’t understand or see what is really happening to us. How the hell is woyane going to help Eritrean ppl. We like it or not woyane don’t like Eritrean’s period.
Look what Isyase and his gang did to Eritrean ppl. The saddest thing is that Eritrean opposition party are making a big mistake again, by cooperating with woyane. I think, Eritrean opposition party revolution is not going to bring change until it organizing a 100%Eritrean by Eritrean’s.
call it inside or out side Woyana are destroying us.
Truly Truly i say to you August 7, 2013
Every one who has ear to hear, eye to see, mind to think, or wants to know the truth should to hear and swallow to what Dawit Mekonen all time remarks you. I really don´t mind if you millions of fools socalled oppositions with out honesty and character, how hard if you like to defame, ignore or to disregard Dawit´s very honest strait talking and references; as for me though i see a little strategical mistake in his remarks, but the content he talking because absolute true is specially regarding Isayas´s hidden motive what he talking, i all time have full respect to brother Dawit´s concern and logic.
Friends! unless you find out who your real enemy is at first, what matter is complicating your problems you find out, and exactly would know your enemies strategy and motive, what ever you attempt you can not win to any fight. But after you acknowledged that first, if after begins any positive approach or negotiation to find out a peaceful solution for our problems every healthy mind should ready for all kinds of compromise and healthy brotherly relation among Ethio- Eritrea to accept. Otherwise it will being foolishness!
Dawit Meconen August 7, 2013
Truly Truly,
Thank you for the compliment and support.
You are right that unless we define our enemy(s) to the bone, expose him(them) his(their) hidden agenda graphically for all to see, chart out our plan of operation against him(them) meticulously and implemente our painfully prepared plan with surgical precision, although this(these) villains have no grain of calibre for success, we sure will prolong the agony of our people unncessarily for long duration of time.
Another well taken remark you wrote was the possiblity that one patriotic Eritrean can very easily end once and for all the cursed life of the tigrai conspirator, Isaias Afewerqi. In the land of The Home Of The Brave, nothing is impossible beause in the annals of our Long and Glorious History, no one hurts our people and gets away with it. No one!
Recall that Italian fascists and Amhara pseudo-supermacists came to our country to own our land and to wipe out our people under hidden and not so hiden agenda of systematic Genocide.
Characteristically, enemies do not come to one’s land dressed up in their military uniforms, sitting in their military vehicles and pointing their guns at the people. No, they do not do that. Why? The reason is not out of the their good-will towards their victims but rather out of their strategic goal to score their success without shedding their own blood at the cost of the victims.
Such treacherous and sophisticated psychological maneuvers an enemy uses to pit its targetted people against each other to win its way without shedding its own blood, our people term Gereb B’hakla.
The woyane in Addis Abeba and woyane in Asmera are in a close collaboration setting the plot up. The woyane in Asmera, Isaias Afewerqi and his tegaru associates, veiled as former Eritrean Liberation warriors and as current ultra-Eritrean Nationalists, are methodically pushing young Eritreans’ frustrations to skyrocketed so much so that they leave their country with hatred of their very heritage, history and Eritrawnet. These of course is the their vain Chicken Dream but The Sawa Lions’ allegiances’ to their country and to their heritage never wavers even for a split of a second. They invariably leave their guns in their because if need be, they will return and use them in defense of their country.
On the other hand, woyane, attiring a glittering garment of falsehood, receives them shedding its crocodile tears, but the naturally asttute Eritrean youngsters, knowing full-well of the vicious intent of the two seemingly antagonisitc but in reality same woyanes, counter with equally but devestatting art of make-believe semantics.
Fellow Eritreans,
The two woyanes have used up all of their dumb tools out of their dumb tool boxes. They are at the threshold of demise, while we are at the threshold of complete victory, the dejavu of the 1990.
Young and old Eritreans: Stand four-square, Never Waver till, Together, We cross the Victory Line, and one by one, pick the impostors and put them behind bars for life.
We Did It, My Eritreans Patriots! The Home Of The Brave Shall Live For Ever!!!!!!!!!!!!

okay, First of all brotherly relationship is not going to heart any one but this is the problem with some of you. please if you are Ethiopian just say it Eritrean’s are not against tigryans or woyane read history. Eritreans even allowed The “Tigryan” Isayas to lead but look what he did to us lead us to the ground. do you think he imprisoned all the pure Eritrean with out any motive or put all the half and 100% deki tigray around him??
Eritrea is for Eritrean’s first. we paid a lot for this country.
bottom line…..T.TRULY, this is nothing to do with Ethio-Erit relationship. we can live with Ethiopia as neighbors but nothing more.

For some it had been hard to swallow the facts of that Weyane – Hgdf politics toward Eritreans caused
a parallel damage to the country and to people’s lives . At the end , who get hart most ?
Our people deserve answers , not only helping easy empathy because they earned it .
Political hypocrisy would bring a heavy burden in life unless we analyze things thoroughly . For some
reason I see people become offended on criticism toward Weyane while to criticize Eritrean political
organizations have been accepted , that is funny .
