They do not know that the Eritrean people holds them partly responisble for the suffering of Eritreans. They are only interested in power and thus are not any differnt from HGDEF. Both are for power and do not care about Eritrea. I do not personnaly believe they want to see democratic Eritrea as they know that no one will be intersted in them in democratic Eritrea. They are now comfortable as they feel they are in power. Their dream is for Ethiopia to take action and removes hgdef (I do not have any problem with Ethiopia. They are doing thier business).
Let’s keep on supporting Amanuel, Wedi Vacaro, Elsa, Meron, Almaz and others who are providing great help to the Eritreans in need. They are our future leaders.

Open Letter
To Mr. Yohannes Asmelash, Vice-Excecutive
National Council for Democratic Change (ENCDC)
Dear Sir,
The news item about your 26-day Mission to North America is commendable and the Management of demo.archive.assenna.com deserves our (readership) appreciation for the comprehensive coverage of news items and articles on its website related to Eritrea.
Now, to ENCDC.
1. It is refreshing and healthy to see ENCDC ‘reporting’ to the general Eritrean public relating to the national interest. It shows that ENCDC is subordinate to and for the people; not the other way round. This is a crucial attitude to be etched in the minds of ENCDC.
2. It is also commendable for ENCDC to establish [in fact, overdue] contact with international institutions – informing them about ENCDC’s “vision, agenda and challenges”. One sincerely hopes these are not mere words, words, and words.
QUESTION: Why not do exactly the same thing with the Eritrean population? After all, respect goal and purpose start at ‘Home’.
3. It is again commendable for ENCDC to recognize the role of EGS “in facilitating the meetings conducted by ENCDC in all the offices visited”. The credit also goes to EGS.
QUESTION: Since both ENCDC and EGS have a common interest– i.e. ERITREA — why not have one organization resulting in a) cohesive action; b) enhanced strength; and c) credible results. ENCDC as well as EGS have a moral duty to explain to the Eritrean people as to why this would not be possible.
4. In view of your initiative for openness, Mr.Yohannes Asmelash, why not inform the general public about the detailed agenda, supporting documentation, date, duration and venue for the next ENCDC conference?
5. Finally, Please note and heed the invaluable commentary of Meretse,“regret”[what an elegant and appropriate pen-name! ]and WaEro for their constructive criticisms . Anyone can see, they CARE.

Still it is refreshing to have the opportunity (the possibility) for the people to make their own decision that affects their lives. It is in that trajectory that is so new, so noble and so REFRESHING >>> if it materializes!
