The people of Eritrea are subjected to extreme human rights violations by PFDJ; the institution of the family is put under extreme pressure as the most productive member of the family is forced to work for free under the Warsay and Yekealo development project for an indefinite period of time.
እታ ድምጺ ህዝቢ ኮይና ዘላ ኣሰና፡ ክትስስን፡ እቲ ኣብ ዓዲ እንግሊዝ ዝጀመረ መቓልሓ፡ ኣብ ዓዲ እንግሊዝ ከየብኩር። ኢደይ ኢድካ በሉ ተቐማጦ ዓባይ ብሪጣንያ !

The Forum that won many nicknames before it even began left participants with hope. It has been called an historic conference, never done before. Even coordinators won nicknames: risk takers, visionaries, concerned citizens, dreamers and so on. What matters the most, after all, for organizers and the attendees was accomplishing one objective: bringing these communities together to talk about their common future. 


In 1992, an old Eritrean lady came to Asmara, Eritrea from New York city in the United States. She was one of countless Eritreans who were returning or coming for the first time after Independence. But she was special and want an audience with the then Provisional and the now president for life Issias Afewerki. The old lady, Adey Desta, was a legend among Eritreans in the United States and New York area. She was like a mother to many Eritrean Immigrants and she helped a lot of people.
On Sunday an opposition leader in Eritrea told AFP that “Iran is using Eritrea as a base to provide weapons to Shi’ite insurgents in Yemen.””They (rebels) are receiving their arms from Iran through Eritrea,” Bashir Eshaq, head of external relations for the opposition Eritrean Democratic Alliance, told AFP in an interview.




Strictly speaking, come the month of September, the people of Eritrea have mixed feelings for very good reasons. 18th of September is the day in the infamous year 2001(September 11, 2001 terrorist attack on New York City) when Democracy was officially killed and buried then and there and the reign of overt tyranny officially befell the people and country of Eritrea. The undisputed culprit: No other than the one and only, the self-styled-president-for-life Isias Afewarki.
