H.E Ambassdor Wedi Gerahtu is the son of an Eritrean patriot. His dad was one of the heroes of the early Eritrean nationalist movement. The physically imposing jigna got arrested and tortured many times by the enemy and that led to his martyrdom.
If I am not wrong Germano Nati was one of respectful patriotic elements in Eritrean struggle . And I hope to hear
more of other brave fighters from KUNAMA ethnic group who made history in our national cause .

Good to hear you brother. I know you were a son of a “Wembedie” in Barentu in 1980h. I met you in Decemhare in 1989 when you were a young smiling guy but always afraid to tell about your father. Not because you were ashamed of the cause he was struggling for but because you were afraid of Dergi. All the way from Decemhare to Mendefera and later on when I met you Barentu I remember everything…. I remember how you grew up from your early adolescence (12,13) through 1991 1992, 1994 when you had a national exam. You were a very humble and lovely guy a friend of maney. The only enemey you had was Maths and its rules. You were intelligent boy, you loved biology and history most….
I am very sure you have not enjoyed your father as you desserved because he has been always at the service of his people/country. I hope that one day you sit down by the side of your retired father and talk to him how much you missed him, how much you waited this day, tell him secrets of your heart. I am sure he also has a convinsing reason for his absense. He can tell you how brave and dedicated was he for the freedom of his people.
