Crying is a natural emotional response to certain feelings, usually sadness and hurt. For instance, people cry in response to something lost. Being with someone you love at the point of their death is a profound experience. It is a normal and understandable response to a very stressful situation. But when you start to feel to cry for what feels like no reason, it may be a sign suffering from anxiety or business as usual. That is why when it comes to emotions self absorbed people includes narcissists, psychopath and others try to mimic/fasely cry pretending for another reason about one’s own.. I am sorry did not see those kind people in Eritrea, but when I was in Ethiopia I saw a lot around St. Joseph Cementry. In the Amharic language they called them ASLEQASH. Beating/hitting their chest they say: YA JEGNA MOTE OR YACH QONJO MOTECH. Basically a faked rage and cry because the sake of their business.

Amanuel ends his devastatingly melancholic poem by saying ‘ma’as da’a tekailu atniska mihras” …even in the wilderness of the Serengeti where the predator and prey are in constant vigil, life goes on.It is a primal instinct to reproduce and continue the blood line.

      K.tewolde

The poem is written in simple or plane Tigrigna. I think no body needs interpretation. But do not fool us if any one is too keen enough it just ANCH AMARGNA ENDABEJUSH TIBEJALESH..

Unfortunately, you really need a translator, Gezae. Or should I say TeGezae because you seem to have that kind of mentality.

        • Gezae May 7, 2018

For the sake of knowledge do you know from 1st – 4th grade I taught or educated all subjects except English in Tigrigna and then after my 4th grade national examination all in English. I recall the first Amharic book I read was LIJINET TEMELSO AYMETAM in 7th by our Amharic teacher of that time Aboy Negassi [ GIFHO].at Bet Georgis Middle School Asmara. For sure I am not as orator as my dear brother Amanuel.

    Dear Mr Gezae,
Nothing will ever detect the maturity level of our poor common peoples after five decades of unprovoked onslaught on their thinking skills by ELF/PFDJ. Unfortunately, you seem to be communicating to brick walls. I absolutely agree with you about ‘nobody needing any interpretation or explanation’ on Amanuel’s well written and in simple Tigrigna poem. It seems sadly that this so called k.tewolde and his ‘deki mezamirtu’ have nothing else better to do in their sad lives.

        • Gedamu May 7, 2018

K.Tewolde – just leave Gezae alone, what are you trying to say?
I respect brother Gezae and that’s why I am coming to his defensive not that he needs and support against you toothless so called opportunist/tebeletsti oppositions. Give freedom of expression to others.

          • Gedamu May 7, 2018

Did you also get your Kedami banda name from your butler father or your colonialist abusers who caged you with their white dogs?

    I am surprised!!
Instead of discussing on the subject matter which is “The dictator who is the cause of the whole problem in Eritrea” you are discussing on very trivial things. I know you are doing it intentionally to distort the attention of the reader. Please stop your dirty tricks!!
