Peaceful struggle does not mean inaction or apathy. Sometimes, the consequence of one’s inaction may be as terrible as that of one’s action. Certainly, the victims may be demonized and dehumanized. But it is a crucial way to help restore meaning and substance to what we call democracy, freedom, and to constructively answer the reverberating wails or cries of suffering. And equally important, simultaneously with the cultivation of seeds of peace within, we need to envisage and struggle for alternative futures, relying on non-violence.
Bitwedet, my heart is with you brother.

General Bitewdede Abraha is No doubt a visionary. I feel, as people and country, we failed him. I watched and listened his speech many times, because I can’t believe a visionary, like General Bitewdede Abraha is kept away from serving his people. I can’t believe there was no other general or high ranking EPLF member stood with him in the 1991. I can’t believe his vision for our people and country wasn’t shared by all of them. When Eritrean people were dancing in the street under the influence of intoxicating happiness of independence, Isaias Afwerki was robbing us blind our visionary. Now, we know. Now, what? Reading all the commentators here at Assenna, I feel reassured that we are all truly, justice seekers. We need to mobilize our people. We need to share General Biteweded Abraha’s statement to anyone we know and encourage them to come out and speak up. The vision Genral Biteweded has for our people and country is shared by even PFDJ members. Now is our chance to pull them to their peoples side.
God Bless our people and country!
    We shall overcome!

Thank you for remembering this hero. The story of the forgotten hero is incredible.
Where is the Eritrean humanity as far as the thousands of the disappeared and killed innocents is concerned?
It is a curse to serve and liberate and waste your time for our people, and worst of all end up in prison for many years and the majority of people did not care.
Why should then thing about the country and its uncaring people.
Shame on the Telamat people especially in diaspora.

    To Ahmed Salih,
Too many pen names? yes there are too many bed bugs around, but their identity is recorded using their computer IP and other investigative techniques. This volunteer puppets may think that that they are smart but at the end they will be surprised.
People must know that there is a reaction for every irresponsible and anti people action now.

Biteweded is a true son of Eritrea. Like many other nationalists, he thought Iseyas can be challenged by peaceful means. That was a wrong assessment: Iseyas and his regime believe only in military power, anything else, for them, is worthless hollow talk, to which they give little or no attention at all.

    Ladies and gentlemen
Bitweeded Abreha, a brave warrior, gutsy and daring, challenged Isayas at his door steps, he never surrendered, he never wavered, he pressed on to bring justice peacefully to a nation battered and bruised by war and destruction. His mission was and still is to bring justice peacefully, time was not on his side. This brave man son of Bahrinegash did his part, he gave us a flag of HARRNET, let us do our part, time is on our side, PFDG is finished, we just need finishing touches, the world is on our side, the struggle started by Bitew is on its last journey. Eritreans all over the world in Canada,South Africa, England, Rome, Germany, Ethiopia,Sudan and many other nations lets go to New York, hand in hand with one sprit, let’s fight fiercely in unison, until we bring JUSTICE,FEEDOM LIBERITY to our nation and to our people. With one slogan ENOUGH is ENOUGH. By doing so the struggle started with Bitew will be fruitful, his blood won’t be in vain.
    Thank you
