ህዝቢ ኤርትራ በዚ ገምጥሎ በቲ ሓደ ዘርኢ ዘለዎ ኣሕዋት ኣህዛብ ምዃኑ ብኣቦናን መምህርን ሃለቃ ብርሃነ ተስፋማርያም ዝተጻሕፈት መጽሓፍ ብግልጺ ተቐሚጡ ንረኽቦ፡ ፤ካብ ወለዶ ንወለዶ ተኸባቢሩ ዝኸይድ ህዝቢ ኣብ ዘመነ ህግደፍን መሰልቶምን ንኣሽሓት ዓመታት ዝዓቀቦ መንነቱን ባህሉን ክሃስስ ክንርእዮ ከሕዝነና ይግባእ፡ ፤ህዝብታት ኤርትራ ኣብ ጽቡቕን ሕማቕን ብሓንሳብ ወዲቑ ዝትንስእ ህዝቢ ከንሱ ሎሚ ብዉሑዳት ጠላማት ሕድሪ፡ ህላዌኡ ኣብ አስጋኢ ኩነታት ክወድቕ ስቕ ኢልና ምዕዛብ ታሪኽ ክጸባጸበና ምዃኑ ክንዝንግዕ የብልናን፡ ፤ታሪኽ አቦታትና ከም ዝምስክሮ ከምዚ ሎሚ ዘይኮነ ሕግን ስርዓትን ዘለዎ ባይቶ ዝውንን ክቡር ባህሊ ኔርዎ’ዩ፡ ፤ኣውራጃታትናን ወረዳታትናን ከምኡ’ውን ብደረጃ ሃገር ዝተተኽለ ጽኑዕ ምምሕዳራዊ መሰረት ዝነበሮ ህዝቢ ሎሚ ብቀይዲ በተኽ አካይዳ ህግደፍ ህዝብታት ፍትሕን መሰልን ስኢኖም ጥራሕ ዘይኮነ ኣብ ነንሕድሕዱ ዝነበሮ ፍቕርን ስኒትን ልዕሊ ኩሉ ከኣ ሃገራዊ ሓድነቱ ክዘርግሉ ከፋፋሊ ሜላ እንዳ ተጠቕሙ ጽልእን ቅርሕንትን ክተኽልሉ ህርድግ ይብሉ ኣለዉ፡ ፤ እዛ ዓዲ ዓበይቲ ዓድን ምሁራትን መራሕቲ ሃይማኖትን ከም ዝሰኣነት ነንሕድሕድና ክንነኻኸስ ኣይምተገብአን፡ ፡ ዝነገሰ ንጉስና ዝበረቐት ጸሓይና ዝዓይነቱ ኣካይዳ ንኣና ከም ህዝቢ ዘይወጽእ ጣዕሳ ከስዕበልና ምኳኑ ኣሚና ንግናይን ጽቡቕን መሚና ሃገራዊ ሓላፍነትና ክንገብር ኣለና እብል፡ ፤
መንነትና ብኣጋጣሚ ካብ ሰማይ ዝነጥበ ኣይኮነን፡ ፤ ኩሉ ህዝብታት ዓለም ነናቱ ዝኾነ መበቆልን መንነትን ኣለዎ፡ ፤ ህዝብታት ቁሸታትን ዓድታትን ወረዳን ኣውራጃን ወኒኖም ብድሕሪኡ ብሃገር ደረጃ ክጽውዑ ይጅምሩ፡ ፤ ናይ ኤርትራ ህዝቢ ከኣ ካብዚ ዝፍለ ክኸውን ኣይክእልን፡ ፤ ነፍሲ ወከፍና ዝተወለድናላ ቁሸት ብድሕሪኡ ወረዳን ኣውራጃን ንውንን፡ ፤ ካብኡ ከኣ ብሃገርና ንኾርዕን ንሕበንን፡ ፤ እዚ ተፈጥሮኣዊ ሓቂ’ምበር ሰብ ዘበን ሹማምንቲ ዝምጽውቱልና ምጽዋት ወይ ህያብ ኣይኮነን፡ ፤ ህዝቢ ኤርትራ ተኸባቢሩ ዝኸይድ እምበር ንጽልእን ቅርሕንትን ቦታ ሂብዎ ኣይፈልጥን፡ ፤ እሞ ደኣ እዚ ዘመን እንታይ ኢዩ ዝኸውን ዘሎ? ኩልና ኣብ ልብና ዘላ ሓቂ ንፈልጣ ኢና፡ ፤ ዝብድል ዘሎ ከኣ ንፈልጥ ኢና፡ ፤ ንሕና ከም ህዝቢ ንሓቂ ክነውጽኣ ትብዓት ስኢና ኣለና፡ ፤ ብናይ’ዚ ዘመን ፕሮፓጋንዳ ዓዊርና ጠላማት መራሕትና ነንሕድሕድና ከናቑትና ብድልየትና ፈቒድናሎም ኣለና፡ ፤ ንሓደ ዓማጺ ጉጅለ ከይነቐይም ንምሉእ ህዝቢ ኤርትራ ኣብ ባርነት ተቖሪኑ ክነብር ፈሪድናዮ፡ ፤ ንሕና ከም ህዝቢ ንወድቕ ከምዘለና ፈሊጥና ህጹጽ መፍትሒ ክሳብ ዘይረኸብና ሃገር ሓድነታ ሓልያ ክትከይድ ኣጠራጣሪ’ዩ፡ ፡
ታሪኽ ገድልና ንድሕሪት ምልስ ኢልና ምስ እንጥምቶ ሓፋሽ ተጋዳላይ ካብ ጫፍ ናብ ጫፍ ኤርትራ ካብ ዝተፈላለ ቁሸታትን ከተማታትን ምእንቲ ናጽነት ወፈራ ወፊሩ፡ ፤ህዝቢ አብ ጎድኑ ደቁ ተሰሊፉ ሓድነቱ ኣረጋጊጹ፡ ፤እዚ ህዝቢ’ዚ ሎሚ እዚ ይግብኦ ድዩ? ብሓድነቱን መንነቱን ክጻወቱ ስቅ ኢልና ክንርኢ ይግባእ ድዩ? ጉጅለ ህግደፍ ዝዘርእዎ ዘለዉ ናይ ፈላሊኻ ግዛእ መርዚ ክንምክቶ ይግብኣና’ምበር ከም መጓሰ ከብቲ ናብ ዝመርሑና ክንከይድን ዘዝበሉና ክነተግብርን ኣብ ኤርትራዊ ባህሊ ዘይነበረ ተርእዮ ኢዩ፡ ፤ንሓውና ሓውና ከይንብሎ ዘፍርሃና ጊዜ በጺሕና ጥራሕ ዘይኮነ መዳሕንትና ዝተቀብረትላ ቁሸት ወይ ዓዲ ክንጽውዕ እንሹቕረረሉ አዋን በጺሕና ኣለና፡ ፤ ብፍላይ እዚ ናይ ሎሚ መንእሰይ ወለዶ እቲ ሓቀኛ ታሪኹ ክምሃር ዕድል ስለ ዘይረኽበ በቲ ህግደፋውያን ዝዛረብዎ ቋንቋ ክዛረብ ክትሰምዕ ከለኻ ዝመጽእ ወለዶ እንታይ ዓይነት ታሪኽ ክመሓላለፈሉ’ዩ ዘብል’ዩ፡ ፡
ሓድነትና መሰረት ህላዌና ስለ ዝኾነ እቲ ናይ ቀደም ናይ ኣቦታትና ዝነበረ ልምድን ባህልን ሓልዮትን ምጽውዋርን ክንዕቅብ ነፍሲ ወከፍና ሃገራዊ ሓላፍነት ኣለና፡ ፤እምባና እንዳፈረሰ ንዓማጺ ስርዓት ክነሳሲ ቅቡል ኣይኮነን፡ ፤ቀዳሞት ኣቦታትና ኣብ ዓዶም ሽግር ክርከብ ከሎ ባይቶ ጸዊዖም መፍትሒ ክረኽብሉ ለባማትን መስተውዓልትን መዚዞም ይርሓሱና ኢሎም መሪቖም ንሽግሮም ዝኸውን መፍትሒ ክረኽቡን ሓይሊ ኣብ ዘድልየሉ እዋን ከኣ ንመንእሰያት ጸዊዖም ሃየ ተመረቑ ዓድኹም አድሕኑ ይብሉ ከም ዝነበሩ ናይ ኣፍን ጽሑፍን ታሪኽ ይነግረና፡ ፤ ሓደ እዋን ኣብ ሓደ ዓዲ ዝተገብረ ከም ኣብነት ክጠቅስ’የ፡ ፤ከምዚ ናትና ሽግር ዘጋጠሞም ህዝቢ ብሰንኪ ዘይምስምማዖም ነንሕድሕዶም ክባልዑ ዝተዓዘበ ማሰኛ ዓዲ ከምዚ ክብል ማሰ በለ ይብሃል፡ ፤

ሃባ ሰጋር ኢሎም ከይገሹ
ሃባ ብዕራይ ኢሎም ከይሓርሱ
ሃባ መዓር ኢሎም ከይልሕሱ
ተኣኪቦም እምባኦም ዘፍርሱ

I am causal visitor to this and few other Eritrean websites. I found the historical background your article rather interesting. If I am not considered an intruder, I want to ask you and other knowledgeable few questions. Hoping that I would not receive the usual “mederaguH zerfi” (kinds of insults some people throws), I want to forward my question/comments. I found your article a bit shallow as it didn’t give any detail on the different kings who ruled the different “awraja”s you mentioned and if their influence were limited to current political boundary of Eritrea. Do you think you have very credible evidences to substantiate this historical argument? I am asking this because I am feeling that most historical arguments presented are built to satisfy contemporary political ambitions. The issue of Eritrea as an independent country is not questionable. But we all know that the nation was born as a colony about 125 years ago. The 2nd question that I ask you to elaborate is that if we assume the boundary of Eritrea was twice or three times wider and extends further south as far as the areas of Gondar (that is if the Italians were able to rule this region as one), do you think it would be possible to write similar justification and reach the same conclusion?

እምባና’ምበር እምባ መን ፈሪሱ፡ ፤ ኢሎም ይብሃል፡ ፡ እዚ ንኣና ኤርትራውያን ዓቢ ትምህርቲ’ዩ፡ ፤እዞም ኣብ ፈቖዶ በረኻታት ሲናይን ማእከላይ ባሕርን ዝጠፍኡ ዘለዉ ደቅና’ዮም፡ ፤ እዞም ኣብ ዒራዒሮ ብሂወቶም ተቐቢሮም ዘለዉ ኣያታትናን ኣቦታትናን’ዮም፡ ፤እዞም ኣብ ፈቖዶ ቤት ማእሰርቲ ዝጠፍኡ ዘለዉ ኣሕዋትናን ኣሕታናን ኢዮም፡ ፤እዛ ትጠፍእ ዘል ሃገር’ውን ናይ ኩላትና’ምበር ንሓደ ሓለፋ ትብጽሖ ነቲ ሓደ ከኣ ትንእሶ ማለት ኣይኮነን፡ ፤ንብረትናን ጥሪትናን ሃብትናን ይጠፍእ ኣሎ፡ ፤ ሓደ ሰብ ፍትሒ ክስእን ከሎ ንኹልና ዝትንክፍ ስለ ዝኾነ ስቕ ኢልካ ምርኣይ ኤርትራዊ ባህሊ ስለ ዘይኮነ ዓገብ ክንብል እጽውዕ፡ ፤
