You nailed it. I agree with what you have said; very true. Looks it is beyond the power of Eritrean people who is so gullible to religious, language and ethnic paranoia, phobias and hate of each other thereby being a victim of his own hatred and wickedness and cannon fodder of those interest groups. Those “interest groups” study us so closely, know us really well to saw that seed of hate and division and make us fight against each other. They put their mercenaries like that psychopathic Issayas Afwerq; they just sit back , watch and reap their wicked blood investment. The funny and amazing thing is that we Eritreans who are supposed to be by now experienced after passing through generations of being colonized, raped, massacred, forced to war, migrations, etc.; we still are in the dark when it comes to awareness and consciousness of their evil plan, ignorant of what it takes to be unified, ignorant and not mindful of our neighbor’s right, being so zealots. We are equally culpable as those mercenaries in power. Why don’t we challenge them and ask for our right? Why don’t we say enough is enough? Why we allow them enslave our young, exploit our country, rape our daughters and sisters, put in jail and incommunicado prisoners of consciousness, persecute and murder our compatriots wantonly and with out any due court process? Why? The questions are a lot. the answer few or just “Mum”. nobody want to address our issues at the bottom, the main ones.
Why not we all reconcile and forgive each other and move on respecting each others right? Why not we work hard for a constitutional government? There is some thing wrong in our desire? Why are we so afraid of each other?
May be we deserve this-this punishment from God Almighty.
Eritreans, lets wake up and deal with our own demons in our houses and souls. Lets look inward instead pointing fingers out somewhere.

On monday 14.07. A German news paper Bildzeitung wrote that a boot with 279 eritrean refugees which started from Libya has since then disapeared with out trace. The news paper got this information from Italy. This information coincides with what Amanuel assenna is writing. It is very sad that in less than 10 monthes another tragedy symilar to that of Lampadusa is happening.If that is the case this tragedy will be wors than palmadusa because contrary to that of palmadusa this tragedy is not going to be heard bythe rest of the world exept the parents and relatives of the victims.
