afro, why the need to make unnecessary enemies? Our becoming a nation has nothing to do with our historical relation to the people south of Mereb. Historical facts are legit, and there was no Eritrea before the arrival of Italy, and yes Asmera was there far before those times like many other villages in Eritrea, but Alula chose it as his capital and has built a house for himself somewhere on the hills of present day Asmara but the Italians made it the city it became later. These facts do not diminish or illegitimize our right to be a nation if we chose to be one, to the contrary it was the historical turning point to our becoming a nation. So, there is no need to be offended whenever our blood or DNA relation with the rest of Ethiopia is mentioned because doing so creates a bad impression on how we think about others.

An official mourning for the late Wuchu has been declared at the PFDJ affiliated community centre here in Toronto. With wuchu’s picture in full regalia displayed at the entrance, some of the pfdj women apparently were inconsolable crying their eyes out. Imagine, this kind of hazen was not done when Eritrea lost 366 of its sons and daughters in Lampedusa a few months ago. Pathetic! but then with these people logic and reason is in short supply.
For those people who are telling us “mwut aikisesin iyu”, I say “yikisesin ferekan”. Wuchu, like all Isayas’ yes-men, was corrupt to the core. An illiterate regionalist, he achieved the rank of Major general not because he was a “hero” as some want us to believe. It was because he was doing the dictators dirty work and doing it with frighteningly efficient manner. History will not be kind for this idiot and the other idiots like him.
I have been told the two Yemanes (Monkey and Charlie) read Assena and Awate forums religiously. I am sure they are dismayed reading the comments at the number of people who are giving wuchu his due. Did anyone notice about I say as at the funeral?
1) He didn’t wear proper dress for the funereal
2) He seems that he can’t stand straight. Even his hands were in his pocket, and were not balanced. Stroke anyone?
3) How about the car used to carry the body? Not right for funeral.
4) music chosen just before the burials
5) I say as didn’t speak at all.
It doesn’t seem that was a respect to me.

What do you think is going to happen in Eritrea if Iseyas follows Wuchu in less than a month ?
Consider the following:
– Iseyas has no deputy, i.e. no clear line of power transfer to another person is known.
– The country has no constitution (or it has never been implemented).
– The leadership of the ruling clique has not convened for many years and many of it’s members are in prison.
– The financial reserves of the country are in the hands of one man (who many disappear any time with millions).
– The top executives of Hidgef/Military/Security are criminals wanted for crimes committed against humanity.
– In Dancalia the Afar opposition group is in control of parts of the region (and you know they are not alone).
– In Barka and Gash, the EDA and Kunama have started to move in their armed units.
– In Highlands the Generals and Security officers are engaged looting to take whatever they can and escape.
– With the news of Iseys death the ‘Monkeys’ left the country.
– Situation is very tense and in many parts of the country, civilians are roaming the streets with loaded guns, trying to bring Higdef officials to justice.
May be things are not going to be as bad as the above scenario, but nothing should be excluded.
Eritreans should be ready for the worst eventuality.

I want Isaias to be held responsible for what he did to our innocent people. I want him to open all container,underground etc… in front of the world media to come to justice. I think Wuchu is lucky to go before he gets the humiliation!!!!!! yes it is tense between the criminals and the people every household lost Brother and Sister Father and Mother in Eritrea . we have to be united identify our enemies. I have very similar scenarios as well because isayas is setting us to fail, after his demise falling (EOL). He is purposely is doing that because his hatrage barometer is at the max level.
However, if we are already suspecting of that, which we are, we need to prepare on the corrective action.

I agree. I think, despite all the problems we have or expect to face after the tyrant is gone,
there are also great expectations and hope in the air. Most of us seem to agree that the regime
has to go and should be replaced by a participatory democracy that accommodates the interests of all Eritreans.
No doubt, planning ahead is better.

However there is one thing I never doubted about you,YOU HAVE THE CAPABILITY TO BE ARTICULATE & SEE THINGS FROM DIFFERENT ANGLES. And today you proved me right .I am proud of you.

Eritreans ‘Agame’ to hide their own Tigrean roots and pass as Asmarinos or Hamasienites.
