In fact deki Asmara NAndebrhan ayfetwewon euom just because of only his bad reputation while he was in Asmara University and National bank, and I am one of them.
Personally I don’t have problem with Andebrihan over his engagement. But the way he emerge from his long hibernation to the resistance comp is a bit odd. It rises definitely suspicion and mistrust. At his time he was the main shaker and movers of the PFDJ and for that he was very visible. I don’t have doubt about his current stand and intention it is all about contributing to the current resistance in his capacity. But what is missed here is a courage to face his past wrong doings if there were one. I am not saying he did crime or is criminal but at least he should come out and say sorry for his involvement with this monstrous organization. After all most of Eritreans had been involved in one way or another in all that organizations evolution if we see closely from the time of its inception. No one is here out for revenge but a genuine regret and willingness to do your bit. I believe that is his intention but he spectacularly failed to show to the doubters. I was very critical of hem at the first time when he pop out in to the political arena but when I think about it I don’t see any harm if he engage in a way of his choice.
My believe is to leave those old guards to do whatever they like but the solution to the predicament of Eritrea is that to start the resistance on clean slate by fresh leaders who where not involved in elf or eplf. Those involved were infected by incurable disease and should be left alone do die slowly. The youths have to takeover and own the resistance. That is the only way froward.
Tes, well said this time…To be honest, I don’t think he needs to apologise for being part of the top official with in the hgdf party. That one can’t be a crime by itself.He said in his interview that he would take responsibility like every top official for the failure.I believe we need the experience of him and his likes to bring a change we are all looking for. We just can’t depend on the young generation, the fact in the ground don’t make me to think otherwise. They luck expereince!Isayas teklebrhans situation can be a good example of that. First they have to be a good listeners to progress.

Can you immagine when Iseyas answer’s to someone who asked him “Why are we destrying houses? People are dissatisfied with our acts.” That can I do, This is done by Governors!!!
Do you trust him? You will see a lot of similar dirty tricks by Iseyas in the book.
In any case, I kindly recomend you to read and read and read and then we will reach to a better conclusion.
I see the biggest obtscale/disagreement in Eritrea is between the people who read and listen to various news sources and the people who never see or hear or read anything other than TVERE!!
Ignorance is a menace!!! It gets fatal when Dictators exploit the illietrates or the people with TVERE sindrome!!!

To say, we don’t want the old generation is a bit naive. Our people will do better, when the old and young generation come together and exchange iedeas. To anyone who is saying Andebrhan needs to apology or come clean of any wrong doing is a good idea. Also we need to ask the same quetion to all the former EPLF/ELF/PFDJ or current PFDJ officals. This should be done, regardless of what they are doing at this time. We seem to be very harsh on those who try to speak up and share their experience. I am guilty of that as anyone else. As the time goes by, our peoples’ and country’s situation doesn’t seems to get better. However, those old generation will for sure pass on. Let us encourage them to come out and share their experience. I learn so much from Tesfay Temnewo’s book. I do believe I can learn more from Andebrhan’s book as well.

I agree with ur idea. But the regime in our country is not alone responsible. Since 1973 he got a lot of support from Tegadelty to eradicate the rule of law. What today happing is the product of last time. you ambassador are part of the regime for long time. In that time you did a lote of werk for DIA. Every human being make fault but we must take responsibility for our deed. Now to work together and to learn from past time, tell us the truth and ask excuse to the public.
Brothers and sisters, who in Eritrea is free of crime if he or she was working for the criminal regime ? The G-15 were accomplist with regime until thier days was over and asked the right question, which is give the power to the people. The Dictatorial regime did a huge damage by dividing us by any means it can. Now don’t oppose anyone who want to contribute to the struggle , most of all don’t ask The media ASSENNA or others to choose and pick who they want intoduce or post annnouncement, if you can challenge the guy for any wrong doing, attend his mitting or email to assenna and ask him to adress then.
