Where is my post? It was advice for Mr Teclay to restrain himself from insulting our people and country. Teclay always includs terms like “fake country, fake people and fake history” deep in his self-serving comments. why should he be left alone to write what ever he wishs on our expense? I am not saying he should be banned, but we should be able to challenge him at Assenna. of course with respect. what is wrong with that?

    Where is my post?

Respected sister Ghenet ,happy to read your comment, because i haven’t read your comment, which were always against me,for along time ,i hopped that you changed your mind and agreed with my stand after Yemane’s informative interview.
About your latest advice i haven’t had a chance to read it.But let me ask you. Are Assena’s regulations:
-Not to insult a group of ppl, ethnic or religion.
      -Not to use vulgar words.
If you agree with me ..Do i break any of the 2 rules?
Sister Ghenet you and i and millions others agree and feel the humiliation and pain we have been passing through,But we differ on the cause of all this tragedy.
-You and thousand others believe Isaias as Individual was and is the cause. That is easy.
-I and thousand others believe Ghedli is the mother of all our problems.
So is that a problem ? First of all may be we have different back grounds and knowledge of Ghedli. I do not know about you,i am from a country side and i knew EPLF and its misdeeds before i learned ABCD .
Sister Ghenet please be tolerant and i have never said “fake people” never ,never ever.
Ghenet am looking for ward to reading a convincing argument about Ghedli as for me,i love the ppl more than the mountains and deserts and i like the historical Bahre Negash instead of the Italians baptized name Eritrea(red insect),Just like Zimbabwe,,Côte d’Ivoire ,,Zaire etc

      • Kombishtato December 9, 2014

        selam Teclay,

It has been months since I posted my last comment because I believe Eritrea as a nation is a lost cause. The only issue left is a struggle against time to save some Eritrean heritage such as traditions, custom and languages before the retarded self enslaved bandits burn them again to wear their false and hypocrite identity.

I am among many who believe: “-I and thousand others believe Ghedli is the mother of all our problems.”

The only thing Ghedli brought to Eritrea was shameful disgraceful humiliation. The only business Ghedli brought to Eritrea is hate anything original Habesha/African culture. They never taught to love anything be it Eritrean history or languages. This is the reason they are eating each other with in Hgdef and among the opposition. With Issaias or with out him, the business of hate will flourish and consume Eritrea like a wild fire.
Only worthless hypocrites borrow another worthless alien identity by discarding their proud past. This is called Ghedli.
One may delete this comment but they can not hide their shameful experimental failures. As often, they will blame only Issaias Afewerki or point at Ethiopia’s past to cover up Ghedli’s shameful history.

        • delai fithi December 9, 2014

          Kombishtato,

you have a strange nick name for someone who wants to be loyal to tradition and language. May I also remind you that one of the causes of Ghedli was that Haile Selassie tried to kill Tigrinya.

How it turned out is a different issue. There could have been many different outcomes. Like many Ghedlis around the world, ours was hijacked and compromised. We can argue ad nausea about what ifs. What if WWI or WW2 didn’t happen? What if Hitler was killed early etc. It is a futile mental exercise. We can lament but we can’t undo history.

Regarding your friend Teclay, he reminds of a character I read about as a child. His name was Mamo Kilo! Look him up!
Teclay came to Addis Ababa in the late 80s and was impressed by the status of Eritreans. Such a shallow and childish analysis. I could tell zillions of tragic ends to Eritreans in Addis Ababa.

The Amhara’s say ‘Yewedeke Zaf Misar Yibezabetal.’ If Eritrea was in a better situation, the Teclays of this world would have been singing with Koboro the praise of Ghedli. Some who are disparaging Ghedli were saying Hoy Hoy in the not too distant past.

        • Calighe December 10, 2014

Kombishatato and Teclay are two in one, bonded by unholy spirit called Ethiopianism, and love of imperial grandeur that died long ago.

      • Simon G. December 9, 2014

        Teclay,
I am always curious on one thing. If you guys have hard time of accepting Eritrea as a nation, why won’t you spend your valuable time on something else. You know that you are wasting your time here.
On the other hand, if you are trying to help Eritrea, you should spend time how to fix it. If not, discrediting Gedli (I don’t like to write Ghedli btw), or Independent Eritrea is not going to sway anyone with his/her right mind.
You see, I am in favor Of United Africa or East Africa, but not Eritrea to go back to Ethiopia, again. I se no point of it, at all. What am I going to tell to my martyr brothers and sisters?

      • Adulis December 10, 2014

You are right ghedli is the source of all our problems that we are destined to face now. But you must remember the the main cause that ignited ghedli. That cause is the annexation Eritrea (not people of Eritrea) to its mother “Mama Ethiopia” aganst the free will of most of its people. We all know that the desire of Ethiopia was not Eritrean people but its territory. If some Eritreans didn’t choose to join Ehiopia there would not be ghedli.

      • Genet-orginal December 10, 2014

I know you have been very disrespectful of our country Eritrea and its people. let us start with our country’s name ERITREA. If we want to be called the Red Sea State or Eritrea what is it to you? comments like “Italian baptized name” is unnecessary. If you are Eritrean I highly doubt it, it is quite a self-defeating act to put down once own country and people. a word of advice, if you are Eritrean again I doubt, you should consider to pick your battles.

You are right, you and I differ on the cause of the current tragedy. Not only that you and I differ about the cause, we also don’t agree on what Eritreans should be doing going forward. I believe DIA is the main cause of all this tragedy. #1 DIA was the leader and he is still the leader of the failing PFDJ. Why do I think, he is the main cause? because a group/people/country are only as good as their leaders. Have you ever heard the phrase, “The buck stops at the top” ?

You are failing to realize that “Ghedli” is part our history no matter what. It is unproductive for any Eritrean to obsessively talk ill of Our Ghedli. You said, “I and thousand others believe Ghedli is the mother of all our problems” Good for you. But tell me this, what are you trying to accomplish by talking about why Ghedli was started and how you hate it. If you are Eritrean, why do you want to bring back Ghedli to the 2014 and kill it? You know it is part of the Eritrean history. If you are not Eritrean, I can understand why you hate Ghedli. That is fine.

You said, you love the people of Eritrea not the mountains, deserts and the historical name Bahre Negash, but not Eritrea. Why? If you are Eritrean, you wouldn’t care, if it is called just “Red sea” or “Desert”. To me it shows where you are coming from. I don’t see anything wrong with it. You are just protecting your interest either legitimately or not.

My take, on your argument of Ghedli is the mother of all evil is weak and full of ulterior motives. Ghedli is what it is. It met its goal; it is part of our history for us to learn from. Only, the Enemy of our people and our country ERITREA will try to throw the flaws of Ghedli on the face of current generation. We have to respect Ghedli for worst or better, because it is our peoples’ history. If you can’t relate to that fact, too bad. We have the same individual (DIA) who sabotaged the purpose of Ghedli. yet, you want to talk about Ghedli. You want to talk bout name. There is no viable argument to convince you, because you are fundamentally off.
If you are an Eritrean, please pick your battles. If you aren’t Eritrean, be respectful. No body is asking you to change your name.

Respected sister Ghenet, first i want to thank you on your previous message to Assena you said ” I am not saying he should be banned, but we should be able to challenge him ” .Right i desperately want to be proved wrong.
Ghenet in your small piece of comment you asked me 8 times ” If you are Eritrean”,,i do not know how to answer this question, simple answer is YES.But do you think at this time anyone who pretend to be Eritrean in this planet?.If you mean as Isaias said in the moon, right ..I started to doubt may be the slave-owner Issu is right there are other Eritreans in the moon.Anyway I am from Bahre Negash if you Asked me Awraja Hamasien is that enough ?
Genet you said ” you love the people of Eritrea not the mountains, deserts ,,,” No sister i said i love the ppl more than the mountains and deserts.
Ghenet the good question from you was that ““Ghedli” is part our history no matter what. But tell me this, what are you trying to accomplish by talking about why Ghedli was started and how you hate it. If you are Eritrean, why do you want to bring back Ghedli to the 2014 and kill it?…To begin with i didn’t kill any anything ,Ghedli was and is a dead born fungus or call it virus if you want…But why we are discussing now? = because its consequences whether it was good or bad didn’t end in 1991 .Rather it has been hunting us for 50 plus years like Hyena to its victims and now we are at the verge of extinction as ppl not us nation but as ppl (6000/month only to Ethiopia),,but the paradox is that the Hyena’s victims, it is natural God-created law they can not do anything ,,in our case we ourselves that is our clueless Ghedli generation created our problems( as Mr.Yemane partially agreed it was Che Guevara’s factor)
So if we know exactly when and how our problem started at-lest to most of us, then it will be a bit easier to sort out and to pass to the next step the solution even though there will not be easy solution.
Let us see as you and others are saying “Isaias is our problem so with out Isaias things will be OK” ,,,My God! at least you can not learn from the recent examples in Libya,Syria, Iraq etc . Do you believe we are in better position than those countries?.
Sister Ghenet you said that i came back with my old arguments, and i am surprised that you are still in defense of Ghedli. How did you digest then our sisters painful experience under Ghedli secret party Members and war -lords (Ref. Mr.Yemane) ? .Just as a price should be paid for the sake of Ghedli ?

Yes, You want to kill the history of Ghedli. About you being from Bahre Negash, I think you mean you want to keep the Medieval territory. You can’t do that, because we aren’t in the Medieval time. That is not for you to determine. End of history.
You hate Ghedli, as king hile selassie hates Ghedli. You hate Ghedli, as the dictator Mengistu haile Mariam hates Ghedli. You don’t have an answer for me when I ask you, why this all obsession about Ghedli, when you can’t reverse it. Why don’t you come out and say, you want certain part of Ethiopia to be part of ERITREA or your version of “Bahre Negash”.

Ghedli didn’t continue the way it did, because it was easy or fun. Ghedli didn’t start the Eritrean people problems, but the annexation of Eritrea by the Ethiopian king, supported by self-interest Westerners.

Your argument about the removal of DIA is just astonishing. First, I see, you couldn’t even bring yourself to call the dictator, a dictator. What is that all about? Second, what is the difference between dying under a dictator with no end insight VS dying to clean up what the dictator left behind? I am an Eritrean and I rather die trying to clean up the mess, becuse soon or later it will be clean.
Stop your scare tactics! Stop reinforcing the dictator’s argument!

    Selam to all of you

My answer to all who reacted to my comment about Issu’s social life in Mogadishu and what can we learn to our day to day life from that,,to Kombishtato,Ghenet,Girma.t, Delai ftihi,Simon,Yohannes and Kissanet. My answer will be as compact as possible.
Kombishtato = Nothing to add thanks
Then ladies first,,Ghenet = your advice to me were not deleted,i saw it later .You asked me if i were in Addis or Mekele? No,No,I have never been to Ethiopia once i left it .I do not appreciate the Woyane either, their Ghedli was also absurd like ours and thanks to them Ethiopia is now fragile and week.
Girma = Sorry, i haven’t understood that you want to say.
Delai fithi = Yes i came to Addis in the end of 80s,and lived with my sister’s family. When the Bahre Negasians were kings not humiliated refugees ,thanks to your Ghedli.
Simon = You said” I am in favor Of United Africa or East Africa, but not Eritrea to go back to Ethiopia, again” brother you have better chance to recover from this illness of Eritreanism ,,that was what i said after visiting lake Victoria 2 years ago. Feeling very comfortable among my east African brothers and sisters what i said is ” what a paradise were, one big country just as Massawa and Victoria belong to all of us”
Yohannes = Said ” Not that is wrong but not the right forum for ,,,,,, If we need that kind of information we can get it in so called entertainment or health magazines.” Yes brother we have a lot of health books available,,but when you hear these activities were taken by a rebel leader it has an inspiring effect.
Kissanet = said ” What you have listed here are the most trivial points that had no significance and that were only mentioned between the lines and not as crucial points of Yemane’s interviews”,,Ok,brother yes that is for you but Yemane didn’t say that,,for me this is the most important. The other parts to kill and be killed are the trade mark of all revolutions of the world. But to dance with beautiful Amhara girls in Somalia while your slaves were dying in Sahil is very new belongs only to our absurd Ghedli .But this shows us that Isaias understood either before or after he joined ELF, that Ghedli was worthless otherwise he would not have acted like that.My message to all of you the Ghedli lovers is that ንዝሞተ ሬሳ ሱፍ፣ካራቫታ፣ ጫማ ገይሮም ዝቐብርዎ ኣለዉ

Thank you all of see you on my next comment

Who is doing that ?, you always miss the context. If that was not the case you would not have admired Hailesellasie’s Ethiopia at the time when even the die hard Amharas have started to accept change in their country as relatively positive. If you feel you are a proud Ethiopian go to where you belong.

    • yohannes December 11, 2014

      Teclay;

I see your point. A generation was dying in the hope to bring about a better future for the People of Eritrea, while the their immoral leaders, like Esayas were going to party and enjoying. On the other hand for everybody who followed the interview, can hardly miss the viciousness of Esayas and his cronies. There were a lot of things worse than that. Why waste time on that, the devious nature of Esayas is well established.

Did you say you high landers joined ELF only to save the low landers from the brutality of the benighted Habesha colonizers?

No way! As everybody knows you highlanders sided with Haile sillasie under the umbrella of the unionist party “mahber andnet” for fear of being out numbered by the low landers. If you guys didn’t chose union with Ethiopia under the slogan ” Ethiopia or death”, we would not go into armed struggle. Our unity was enough to win the united nations favorite.
As far as your joining ELF IS Concerned, is like this: When you felt that Janhoy’s gun point is turning towards you and Jonhoy broke his promise that he had given you. How it would be beautiful if ELF WAS established by the combination of all Eritreans from all provinces and religions. Anyway, the highlanders hindrance didn’t prohibit the Establishement of The ELF under the leadership of Hamid Idris Awate.
To your wonder, history repeats itself. When lowlanders were persecuted and marginalized shortly after independence, you highlanders were celebrating their suffer. But when the gun point of the present regime turned towards you, you cried out for help and joined the so-called jerky opposition party. Will you say now, too, you came to help the lowlanders.

    • Kissanet December 11, 2014

      Adulis
Take it easy brother. You really don’t need to take a single point out of the whole context in order to speak your heart out. Despite many mistakes done in the past, low-landers and high-landers are all Eritreans and brothers. You are writing about the cause while Yemane did speak only about the effect. The effect was that innocent civilians were being massacred, huts were being burned and members of the ELF were being hung twice a week in the middle of Asmara. This was of course enough to awaken consciousness within the highlanders whose naiivity was immensely manipulated by Ethiopian propaganda. The fear of Arab influence that might sneak in via the boarders of the lowlands, the inefficiency of Kiadel-Amma which was not that clean and saintly an organization to accomodate highlanders and Andenet as an alternative on the other side.
Before rushing to counter attacks towards highlanders, you should consider the whole situation of the time. You can’t expect that much of a political consciousness from my grandmother, who had never been to school.

      • Adulis December 11, 2014

May God rest your grandmother’s soul in peace! Yes indeed, our forefathers’ political awareness was far more better than our todays’ wannabe scholars and politicians like you. Our fore-fathers used to say “kab mihros a’emiro” when they come across to idiots of your alikes.
I didn’t say that our fore-fathers who took that historical decision of supporting The benighted Habesha colonizers to annex That poor country Eritrea were mistaken. They did so after they calculated which one serve them best.
Anyway, things went wrong. “Yamenkut Gurade gubet alqorT alegn” “the sword I depended on failed to cut a piece of liver”. But Janhoy deposed them just like a condom after he used them once. As a result Tedla Bayru ran away to Sudan and took an oath not to wear a shoes till Eritrea recover its independes and he was wandering the Sudanese streets bare foot.

Here you are the well document story of the well known unionist party leader brief history only for your knowledge how the highlanders were playing their crafty game under the cover of ” we are brothers “Tedla Bairu (1914–1984) was an Eritrean political figure. He was the last independent head of state of Eritrea in 1952. He was then the first Chief Executive of Eritrea from 1952 in federation with Ethiopia, until he resigned in 1955. He was described as an “opportunist” by his opponents for his unwavering Unionist position. His career paralleled that of Woldeab Woldemariam besides the fact that he did not support Eritrean independence.[1]

After Emperor Haile Selassie forced his resignation he become disillusioned with the Federation. When he was appointed as ambassador to Sweden from Ethiopia in 1967 he defected to the Eritrean Liberation Front.

    • Habibi December 12, 2014

Tesla Bairu is a highlander but not all and not every highlander is TeslaBairu.

      • Adulis December 12, 2014

Abona Woldeab Woldemariam advocated for Tigray-Tigriyna at the beginning. The Tigray-Tigriyna alliance didn’t get enough support from both sides. At that time Tigrayans were weakened under Amhara rule and the Eritrean were treating the Tigrayans as less important since they were migrating to Eritrea looking for jobs Italian created. Our forefathers always remembered Ras Alula’s betrayal of Ras Woldeamicheal Solomon and his brutal administration during Emperor Yohannes IV reign. Later Woldeab Woldemariam started supporting the independent camp. His religion was Protestant and distanced himself from Orthodox dominated Unionist party. Woldeab Woldemariam supported Eritrean independence out of convenience rather than conviction. We probably should give credit to this Eritrean Tigray origin for his vision while dekbat were saying Ethiopia wey mot.
