Thank you Yemane for this inspirational and powerful testimony.
I completely agree that Isaias is a pathological liar. I think we all lie when we absolutely need to. We do it to get what we need without harming others. Some people lie as a matter of chronic habit. Isaias is an incurable liar. I knew that from the 1st time I ever heard him talk. I knew that even when people were idolizing him. I couldn’t even share this with my own siblings. People just wanted to believe him. It was hopeless to try to create doubt.
Yemane, you’re a good man with conviction. Your testimony is ‘muy importante’ as the Spanish would say. Please don’t underestimate the value of your contribution. The new generation is paying attention. The old generation is reflecting back. I believe in the human capacity to learn. We are learning. It may be too late for Eritrea. I still hope for rebirth and salvation. All those martyrs should not die in vain.
It is also important in another way. I think you personally are safer now that you are speaking out. Times have changed. The whole world knows your story. Even the PFDJ idiots will think twice about harming you. I am not saying you should let your guard down but I think you are safer now than you have ever been within the last 25 years.
The story of Yosef is a very sad one. He was a true believer. A determined man but exceedingly naïve. I wish he spent the three or five years in a German prison. It would have given him time to reflect. More importantly, he would have been alive today to tell us his story. I wonder how many innocent Yosefs Ghedli swallowed?
How many untold tragic assassinations, tortures and disappearances are Isaias & company responsible for? My guess is we will never know.

Kubur Tegadalay Yemane I wish You interview last for long hours.

Thank you Amanule and others working hard serving their people.
Amanuel did a great job in forwarding the most significant questions that had preoccupied the minds of most of the listners ever since the beginning of Yemane’s interviews.
Now that I have these key questions answered, I don’t have the slightest doubt, be it on the credibility of his testimony or his genuinity as a devoted tegadalay.
All in all, this is a very persuasive eye witness account that goes deep into the harsh intrigues and manipulative methods of eradicating genuine citizens along with their histories, reputations and the whole essence of their existence.
If we take a closer look at the fate of Yosef Dyan, we come to learn that this guy has struggled for so many years long before being assigned to such an hazarduous operation. No sooner had the mission failed than they finished him off immediately, for a baseless suspicion of their own creation. Dyan would have flied straight to addis had he really intended to surrender himself to Ethiopia but he unfortunately ended up a victim of his loyalty to the front. Yemane was lucky enough to have made the best use of his profound knowledge of the nature of the front.
The well known step that follows a killing of a certain person is spoiling his name and history as a legitimate justification for the evil deeds commited on him. No amount of true stories or irrefutable facts can bring the victims back to life but credible testimonies like Yemane’s can at least help to amend the false and distorted reputations that were shamelessly bestowed upon the killed individuals.
I appreciate yemane’s sober sense of judgement of which even the very person who had intended to take his life was not deprived of. What impressed me equally is his conscious perception of the actual situation of Eritrea and his loyal stand towards the devoted fighters of the EPLF.
I take this interview as a key point to all his other interviews as it underlines his Positivity, mercifulness and genuinity as a person.
