Few points I wanted to comment regarding the three panelist:
1: Why are the people not revolting or standing up to the system
Replay: Why not lead them then? You point a finger at the people and yet you are living a life of comfort – that is including myself. We failed Eritrea! We all waste away our time analyzing what Issayas said and what not….
2: There are people who wrote books regarding the system and ….and some others are embarrassed that they stated that the constitution will be implemented but still not day….
Reply: You three (or one of you who stated this fact) is simply lost. These Eritrean government representatives stated regarding the “imminent” implementation because they believe in it. Fact is they are still slaving away for the system – so they believe in the system unless these government people are suffering some kind of brain sickness. Even those who fled the system are still in hidings. Where are they if they truly left the system for a change? The fact is these people who even left the system were never leaders to start with and they are ashamed.
3: Dr. Ghirmai stated – A collective crime is not done by a single man!
Replay: That is just right to the point. Ghirmai, you nailed it. Rather than pointing a finger at one man – the finger has to be able to reach to all hands in the “crime jar”.
4: Issayas and Constitution:
Replay: Issays played everyone regarding second constitution. Although I never liked the first one…it needs to be scrapped and rewritten. It seemed to few of us that it is like a writing test that needed some re-writing. It could be salvaged but it is tainted. As to Issays’s stating the new one is in the plan – it is like a some sort of a dream that Eritrea is planning to send a man to Mars. We are all dancing around this (constitution) useless point rather than the realty to get rid off this system.
5: Emmanuel stated,,,,, why was Issays not asked a follow up question as to why the constitution was not implemented? Who is implementing the new one?…..
Reply: Really? Did you really listen the interview? It was a new years interview and all he had to do that fool (ops) was this “Wishing every Eritrean family the best”. That would be enough. Instead, he went on and on revealed his complete hopeless nature.
My last point: Assenna I still believe on your drive to get Eritrea free but in this topic you have brought yourself down to the floor. Issayas have brought you down to his level. You might us well post Issaya’s interview on your site.
I suggest it wold be better to bring Selam (London)/Elsa (London)/Eritrean Catholic Sister (I think)/Dr. Ghandi and others to speak in one form and see what could be done. These ladies are living it and breathing it.

from someone else to clean our dirt ?
Constructive arguments or critics make the forum inviting to engage .
I don’t believe indirect attack to ASSENNA or it’s guests has valid
reasoning because their credibility at the eyes of Eritreans for
change speak by itself . Therefore be wise to refrain from such
degrading comments when people we hardly new start to join .
Respect matters regardless different opinions and to be simply
yourself without comparing or competing gives you self respect .

The Dr.who mentioned ‘Family-Dynasty’ as a subtle aim of the president is not very far away from reality. It might sound like a joke now but we only need to wait and see that nothing will ever stop the president from coming on the TV one day and announcing his son as his successor. This is not any different than announcing the constitution as dead and getting away with it. As already said, the way for such individual luxury has long been paved. The blind supporters have been shaped up to fully lose their orientation and confidence of seeing Eritrea without him on the top, the opposition group cannot challenge him from outside and the people inside Eritrea are kept busy coping up with the ongoing scarcities of everyday necessities such as water, electricity etc. or finding a way out of the country.
As usual our president is full of stunning surprises.
My apologies my people and I know “everyone” of you are working hard to bring change in Eritrea. I am also with you, in agony, to see Peace and Freedom in Eritrea.
But I must be free to express my rightful points (might be just worthless) but as a mater of fact.
I personally have always thought that Eritrea constitution was drafted under the cloud of few people with “rush-rush” and “the few selected” one. That is clearly stated in Dr. Bereket’s lengthy interview in another web site. Even Dr. Bereket himself stated several points in Assenna how he was being frustrated by Issayas’s shadow all along. That much we know and how much more do you think is “unknown” that is there for generation to figure it out? Nothing is perfect but Eritrea constitution was dead at arrival. Simply any court or any system fair and free to look in to it would say -> re-do. Even the poll by assenna to my surprise is showing the result (although I am not sure how it is racked). If the constitution was strong and clear and well written and “well read” by all then I would have said – it ought to be implemented. At this point I am not sure it was done right. But it is my view and I am just one in ~5mil people.
Remember – there is a saying “anything is better than nothing”….well yes it is true but we are all focusing on something that could be done once we get Eritrea free and we are out of the mess Eritrea is now. Why give the few (perhaps more than a few) Eritrean government officials drive us all in to the ditch and miss the whole picture? If one is evil by nature, and believe me there are a few Eritreans that I could say they are the product of simply evil nature, why then fight it. Have a plan to help this sort of people to go ahead and “push their self imploding button” and crush.
The trophy is Free Eritrea. Our goal must be finding a way to get there. United and in one voice by pressuring at every corner – as it is being done now – to have the system in Eritrea kneel down.
The three Scholastic Eritrean in the panel and others like so have had several theories and after theories that are not new. What is missing is for these people to come out of their comfort and lead! Lead Eritrean people – that goes to me too. Lead with character and goals rather than regurgitating the same stories for the last 20 years I think – right?
This is how I describe some of us “like a tiny plant that spurt out when a sign of rain is in the horizon and withers away when the cloud is gone”. If we want to change Eritrean government – it could have been done but I know the fact that we are all not in the same page we have simply failed. I had a great hope with Dr. Vacaro (God rest his soul) but he is also gone.
Okay Assenna as always you are my #1 source of hope but bring our sisters to the panel and let the sisters lead us all. I am quite confident they will have mind blowing and very much real talk. We need just one and just one Nehemiah -to those who have read to the story of Nehemiah on how he restored and lead his people!

Now, let’s aim to our solution. What do you have in mind? Also, as you can see, the Assenna team is doing their best. I wish everyone contributes as few % as them (including me). Dr. Mike (at least according to your language skill, you deserve one, if you are not already a PhD holder), you are questioning everything, except our intelligence (hopefully). At least I hear you.
Now, let’s aim to our solution. What do you have in mind? Also, as you can see, the Assenna team is doing their best. I wish everyone contributes as few % as them (including me). If you don’t mind, what is proposal to fix our beloved Eritrea? Even though I respect those great ladies you have mentioned, why do you think these three Drs. are less of them? Or you think of that there is no solution from male opposition and it is about time to try females? I am just curious here.
