Very sad. Thank you Amanuel for the audio. This story about the two brothers could be made a good Hollywood movie and book. The delyti fithi actors in Ethiopia should consider making a movie about this tragic but true story.

nowadays allover europe you see a lot of Eritrean with similar destiny/stroke of fate like Mesfin.
We can not rescue the one who are gone already but there is a lot we can do for those who arive in europe.
They need our factual and moral help ! They are of course frequently traumatized and have additionaly a hard time getting along in countries they don’t know: lack of language, lack of knowlegde etc…
Please get active and start to help.
If everybody of us would help one person, that would make a great change – not directly in Eritrea, but we should act local as that is really something we CAN DO!
This is what a relative of one of the victims from Barentu said, “My brother was not swallowed by the sea, he was swallowed by the criminal PFDJ”. On the occasion of the Lampedusa incident, several Eritreans came out vocally criticizing the Eritrean regime for being the cause for the suffering of Eritreans. The Eritrean regime has undoubtedly suffered its worst single exposure in both the event and its callousness towards the lives of Eritreans. What is happening to Eritreans in general but to the young in particular is so tragic we can’t just choose to close our eyes and minds indefinitely.
Yoditta, the man from Barentu is absolutely right! Not only all victims were not swallowed by the sea, all were swallowed by the criminal PFDJ; but the legendary musician Abraham Afeworki and many others, that include jest recently by so called car accident killed generals as well. But our ignorant society think by natural accident like the told by media.

ኣንቱም ሰባት ካብ ሃዘን እኮ ትመርጾ ሃዘን ኣሎ። ብናትኩም ኣጠማምታ ናይዞም ኣብ ላምፔዱዛ ዝተቀዝፉ ዜጋታት ብማስ-ሚድያ (ዜና) ስለዝተዘረበሎምን ስለዝራእኩሞን ብዙህ ሃዘንን ድንጋጼን ኣውሪድልኩም ክከውን ይኽዕል እዩ። እቲ ሃቅን ብኣጠማምታ ኣምላኽ ተኾነ ግን፣ እቶም ብደይነጋሪን ኣብ ውሽጢ ሜዲትርያንያን ባሕሪ ሬስዖም ከይተረኸበ ቀለብ ኣሳ ዝኮኑ ናይልእሊ 400 ሚኢቲ ዜጋታት ሕይወትን ከምኡውን ብተመሳሳሊ ሃደጋ ጠፊዖም ናይ ሚድያ ጥራይ ጦብላህታ ስለዘይረኸቡ ብሕዝቢ ዘይተዘከሩ ግናስ ካብ ዓይኒ ኣምላኽ ጨሪሶም ክኽወሉ ዘይኽእ ሬስዖም ከይተረኽበ ቀለብ ኣሳ ዝኾኑ ግዳያት ምዃኖም ዝተገንዘብኩሞ ኣይመስለንን። በዚ ምኽንያት ዋላ ግዳያት ስድራ ላምፔዱዛ ንሬስዖም ከለልዩ ተዘይከኣሉ፣ ብዓይኒ እቶም ጦብላሕታ ከይረኸቡ ቀለብ ኣሳ ኮይኖም ዝተረፉ ግዳያት ክምዘን እንከሎ፣ እቶም ብዝከበረ ናይሬሳ ሳንዱቅ ግዳያቶም ክቅበሩን ክዝከሩን ዕድል ዝረኸቡ ስድራ ቁሩብ ዝሓሸ ምጽንናእ ዝርኸቡ ኮይኑ ይስምኣኒ። ከምቲ ኣብ (ድጒዓ ኤርምያስ ፬ይ ምዕራፍ ፍቅዲ ፱ )”ካብቶም ብጥሜት ዝሞቱ ብሰይፊ (ብውግእ)ይሔሾም፡” ተብሂሉ ከምዝተጸሓፈ ንምባል እዩ። ።
