    HALLOW DAWITOM

“I do not hate you for supporting this man,”

I AM NOT A SUPPORTER I GIVE HIM HIS DUE

I BELIEVE HE IS A VICTIM LIKE ME AND YOU

” How long do you think is enough for people to be ruled as this man’s subjects?”

UNTIL THE WORST WILL TAKE OVER

    “And why is that?”

BECAUSE THE SO CALLED SAVIOR IS EVIL

“the young Eritreans are leaving the country for fun, the people are turning to begging for fun?”

THIS IS THE RESULT OF THE DECISION WE MADE TO BUY A CAR WITHOUT CONSIDERING THE RUNNING COST IN WHICH THE PRESIDENT IS A VICTIM LIKE ANY ERITREAN.

“Can you tell me why invaded Ethiopia in violation of International Law? Why didn’t he ask the UNSC to do its job?”

-E.L.F BOUGHT A CAR WITHOUT CONSIDERING THE RUNNING COST

-ESAYAS AFEWORKI LOWERED THE COST BY BORROWING PARTS FROM ETHIOPIA

-HE DROVE THE CAR SAFELY TO AN END

-IN 1991 ETHIOPIANS STARTED ATTACKING THE CAR

-P.E.A WAS SMART ENOUGH TO TOLERATE BECAUSE WITHOUT THEM THINGS WILL BE THE WORST ANYWAY

-FINALLY IN 1998 ETHIOPIAN GOV ACHIEVED ITS GOAL BY MAKING TOUCH [MANO] TO ERITREAN GOV
    TO START THE WAR OFFICIALLY

SO THE WAR WAS STARTED EFFECTIVELY BY ETHIOPIAN GOV. IN 1991

AND BAD ENOUGH OFFICIALLY BY ERITREAN GOV IN 1998

ANYWAY BEHIND EVERY MESS IN ERITREA ETHIOPIANS ARE THERE

I DO NOT BLAME THEM BECAUSE IF I WERE THEM I WOULD BE THE WORST

The youth is our future! So, it is high time they are given the stage to be players not only on-lookers. In societies like ours the elders have been the ones who are listened to and respected. We all know quite well Eritrea is not a child centered society. So, by extension the youth is not given the space to grow through mentoring in order to take leadership positions. Instead, they are told to wait and listen for orders which come down from their elders.

To some degree, modern day education has changed the above formula and the way things are done habitually. The age old traditions long tried and proven are no more longer useful to our society. We are now on the verge of the 21st Century. Today, the change in technology is fast-paced. There is very little time to waste if we are to catch up with the changes happening. The flow of information from one end of the world to the other is in an instant, just in a blink of an eye.

This in turn has brought change to the culture of entire segment of our population. With the flow of information at greater speed individuals start to be better informed and educated. In turn, brings empowerment and a need for expression. Dialog brings better understanding among people. Populations who are not engaged or involved in their national dialog through proper channels lose their say. Democracy is at the heart of a national dialog.

It is this quest for democracy which makes humans strive/struggle to arrive at, at all cost. In our case, the price is very high and at stake.
The journey is uphill and winding. Let us feel assured it is our final destination.

In our dealings with one another civility is one big aspect which we have to make a habit of. In the end, I assure you it pays.

Keep the vigil and victory is ours!

Thank you Tegadaley Said Salih for your informative interview. I learned a lot from your interview. I don’t have enough words to describe the evilness of the dictator Issayas.
I hope our people understand the magnitude of the evilness of this person and work together in fighting the regime.
Thank you also brother Amanuel and your foundation for your relentless effort in educating our people.

“We made the president the monster he is.”

    Luna

Can’t agree more. An old Egyptian adage says: “Al shaab saaniu firawnihim”. It means “the people are the ones who make their pharaohs”. An equally important wisdom says: “ogni popolo ha i capi che si merita”, which means “every people have leaders they deserve”.
Although this generalization may be wrong, there is some truth in what is being said.
Tyrants are created by an oppressive popular culture. Till mid-nineties it was impossible to express an opinion about Iseyas, other than the usual ” … nibeynu indiyo koynu”, to means he is doing hard work alone. His victims were vilified, insulted and humiliated not only by those engaged in state sponsored personality cult [hafash-wudubat], but also ordinary people who were conditioned to look at him as a demi-god, “way kinewih … halengai yimesil”. The monster in him, caused wars that costed Eritrea the lives of an entire generation. And yet there are still around to this day, those who cannot see this tragedy, blinded by fascist propaganda and self-interest, at the expense of everything else including the future of the young.
The only way to start a better future for all is, by first liberating our selves from personality cult (because the man is no one but a coward that gives orders to kill from his hiding), and then acknowledging the fact that the monster was in grand part created by our encouragement and active participation. Only when we take our share of the blame we will be able to come to terms with the past and start a self-healing process that will take a long time. Only when we take enough time to ponder on our mistakes and learn lessons from them, we will be able to avoid repeating the same mistakes in future. Let’s not forget that a tyrant’s mindset in nothing but an expression of our collectives weaknesses.

    Kalghe

You are right through and through.

Recent arrivals in some Western countries who experienced first hand injustices and brutality under the hands of this same regime clap their hands with positive vibe (may be pretending) and outlook towards the regime they have left behind. It is baffling and goes against the grain. Truth is the main casualty at hand. Why are they here in the first place if they still harbour affinity for him and the regime? Not only that, they lied to their teeth to be admitted here. It is a complete travesty, playing game on the generosity of host countries.

At a recent demonstration in Leeds one observant ‘officer’ asked a rhetorical question why these individuals are here in the first place if they are sympathizers of the delegation conducting the gathering? It is a question which all of us must ask. These are the kind of questions which these thugs are afraid to face. A spade must be called a spade!

keep the flame of truth burning!

Mr Said Salih thank your for detail information about the criminal who is killing our people.Your testimony is historical. Your are a brave man who explose these very important secrets for the generation who knows nothing about shabia. The Eritran people still have very stong unity and you give an example the one who refused to burn our holy book koran.
There are many like Mesfin Hagos and Ali Abdu still keeping silent? I hope that one dag they can talk the truth before they die with their secret.
Thank you again and Allah bless you brother.

Halewa Sewra and then ……Halewa Hgher
    an
It would be nice had civilians would not hear all this.It is a matter of security and you name if there is any country that hasn`t a secret service. They do it all of them.

For me the difference is how much we pay to gain peace and security in the entire country.
As far as i know nowadays everyone can travel from one end to another without any fear.
No bombs on the roads. No shooting in the street.Men and women travel-walk by night.

Eritrea it is in absolute peace.

Now i learn that all the Peace that are enjoying Eritreans has its cost.

SAEED SALEH is telling us that there a lot of people in jail but his short on saying that there is a mass execution.
To me as long they are in jail and not executed tat is fine. After all who want in his/her community troublemakers ???

The case of Jihad is a point in case.
Had this phsycos won the battle what would be the consequences ?Just look at today Syria,Somalia,Lybia just to mention few.

I guess today Somali Lybians and Syrian would love to be in our shoes.

Our gallant Halewa Sewra without alerting anyone with no fuss at all an entire jihad movement that started to mushroom from Teseney to the horizon of Asmara has been dismantled disabled .

Thank you for telling as but it is a bit late for my likes .

“Eritrea it is in absolute peace.”

    alex

The Eritrean regime is at war with it’s people. I don’t think you are not aware of that, but it seems you are on the side of the government, for reasons you know better.
As long as the country is ruled by a mafia group that has turned the country into a big jail, it’s only natural that different groups will try to solve their problems their own way, depending on their understanding what is going on. Therefore, you cannot blame any one for acting in self-defense or irrationally. All the countries you mentioned have suffered from dictatorships that used to do exactly what the so-called Eritrean government is doing. Then when the fascist click started to show cracks mainly due to it’s internal crisis, it declared war on it’s own people.
Unfortunately, Eritrea is moving fast in the same direction. Either there is rule of law, justice and equal opportunity for all, which are prerequisites of peace, or there is dictatorship and a situation that will certain lead to instability and wars. There is no middle way.

    Kakighe

It is not about supporting the the regime. My point is no matter what government is ruling thus secret services are bound to stay.Question is what is the cost that we pay in order to get peace. If you believe that there should not be or exist any sort of security that is just a day dream.
Yes i agree with you that there are to many jails and to many people jailed.Which is wrong and i oppose it vehemently as any one else.

We need to look at it carefully by separating te innocent ones from those who intend chaos onto a peace full society.

Jihadist where ever they are has to be eradicated. They have no place in any society.
Has the government gone one a step further and caught innocents on the way ?
Yes i do believe they have done it and i condemn it fully.Ultimately the required target has been achieved and jihadist-jehovas are cleansed.Period.That is the job of secret services and no matter what government comes we civilians have to leave with it.
Hence given the circumstances specially in regard the jihadist it can be done any better.

The other side of the coin is that what i believe we oppose it all.
Intellectual who can progress the country jailed because for their diverse opinion is the one i hate above all.Similarly ordinary people jailed and not to have any sort of contact with family. And all sort of arrogant behaviour that people face as there is no rule of law .
    So lets no mix things.

I have never seen a literate ignorant than Alex .

  • Kalighe March 18, 2013

“That is the job of secret services and no matter what government comes we civilians have to leave with it.”

    alex

It’s ok for Alex to see people taken away in the middle of the night and not to be heard of for decades (and when the prisoner dies he/she is buried in unmarked grave without the knowledge of their family), in the name of national security. That is ok for many Higdefites, of course, till a member of their family disappears in the same way. Even those ‘jihadists/johovas’ would like to live in peace in their country, look after their business, raise their children and see them growing. In essence, people have similar dreams and like to enjoy life as everyone else on this planet, no same person likes to die.
Religious extremism is rife where there are either acute political problems persist or a failed State is in the making. The best way to secure a country is by settling all political issues in the country in a way that accommodates the interest of all stake holders. Marginalization will only push further those who lost everything to resort to violence to make their voice heard and their interests respected. Just look at those (religious people) living in wealthy countries, they don’t have even time to talk to people, let alone go and kill themselves. I am not justifying violence, but looking at the underlying reasons that many prefer to ignore.
