A change in the regime will obviously bring about a change in personalities as well, as these are inseparable factors that go hand in hand. I don’t know if Amanuel has chosen the word ‘swapping’ in order to show that these people are still integral parts of the current regime but no matter how many meetings take place by any parties or group of Eritreans in any corner of the world, there is yet a long way to go before speaking about personalities for a compensational regime that couldn’t still set foot nowhere. Be it this or the Vaccaro style of Hadnetna, we Eritreans no doubt need a means of getting together and settling our differences before speaking of a change in regime. Parties have nothing to do here as they are already disqualified by their overhastiness for power.
The country comes first.
Let’s expose the true colors of these power hungry groups. Thanks Emma, very timely articles. A man who embezzled public money disappeared in thin to serve the regime in secret for a decade reappeared with his clique hoping to get power sharing in their daydteaming ambitions. Adhering to their god father, they held secret meetings to implement the usual hidden agenda of their parent company -PFDJ. No more deception, cheating and hoaxing can work to carry out your personal or your company’s agenda. The Eritrean people knows them who they were and are. And what they are doing.
THOSE ARE THE SAME PEOPLE WHO KILLED THOUSANDS OF eritreans during the straggle and who helped this monster destroying our country and people ,and now they are back to save their devil leader from complete distraction,ERITREANS this are the same people who put you in the condition you are now,do not be decived again ENOUGH !ENOUGH!
Why be so bothered about the fact that the meeting was not hold in Ethiopia but instead in Kenya.
Why would you prefer the Eritrean opposition to hold meetings in a country in which (in absolute numbers) more people are suffering from a lack of democracy than Eritrea itself? That for me does not seem like a logic place to base your struggle from. Especially not if you would regards human rights as being universal, would it then not be hypocrite?
Kenya was an excellent location, first of all because the above stated reason, but also because Eritreans, generally speaking, have a mistrust about everything coming from Ethiopia when related to politics. This is just a fact, regardless of whether you like it or not, and regardless of whether it is just or not. This is just the current situation, off course the people to people relation between Eritrea and Ethiopia is still strong, but in terms of politics Eritrea in general will mistrust Ethiopian involvement, and being offered a location to meet would be considered interference.

You are right Emanuel. We don’t need those passed through the PFDJ DNA mental slavery conversion. DNA: Denial, Nostalgic and Arrogance.
