In this century of technology the advantages of the media are extraordinary, with news and other related activities like our fight to freedom, human rights and others.
However, being responsible to what you post and say is very important as a single line or word could escalate conflicts and results into dangerous consequences.
I love browsing several online media outlets to read news about Eritrea as all other Eritreans do and I strongly support all sort of discussion and arguments. Meskeren.net is one of the online media that I also use occasionally for news, however the small title that are often posted with red bold colours by the editors of the net (http://www.meskerem.net/) are often with hatred, humiliations and create fear, division and stigmatization.
They are always full of words or small statements that are dangerous and incite hatred and conflicts among the communities. Often they concentrate on individual’s identity which is should not be the case. This is an OUTDATED and INGORANT politics exploited by Isayas and his comrades to supress people for centuries.
Additionally it looks them (Meskerem.net) have Ethiophobia, as an Eritrean I cannot comprehend if someone tries to alienate himself or herself from our neighbouring people. As the Western Eritreans enjoy trade and intermarriages with their Eastern Sudanese tribes same is true for the Eritreans in the southern part to have close ties with the Northern tribes of Ethiopia. And there should not be a room for politics which creates unnecessary wedge between Eritrean and Ethiopian in particular Tigrayans. Hence, it’s not necessary to dig into some once personal identity and stigmatize him/her for his origins, it is nonsense.
My advice to the meskeren.net’s editorials is there will be a price to pay, we Eritreans suffered enough and there should not be room for provocative words rather we need reconciliatory words. And I call upon all concerned people to advice the net to re-consider and discuss thoroughly for any editorial before dispatched to the eye of the Eritrean public.

meskerem.net is the most backward and hatred driven website. They attack individuals…they attack people as whole which is nonsense and idiocy. They always ask very very arrogant and nonsense questions. It is absolutely disturbing to see such as nonsense media in 21 century. In the first place the arrangement of the website ie below standard…it looks likes a lazy student’s exercise book.

Since some time Meskerem is financed like ESAT, TesfaNews and Co. by PFDJ and coordinated through Mr. Yemane G/Meskel.
Meskerem have a mission to operate to encourage narrow minded nationalism like Nazism “isaiasism”, and character
Assassination like usual a la isaiassism.
I say let’s wait and see where Meskerem will finally end. The main thing is , to keep the main thing, a main thing.

For me meskerem & co are enemy number one, much worse than PFDJ. I can’t waiting for my chance to bring those criminals in to account when the time comes in tomorrow Eritrea. They are working tirelessly to undermine any achievement and to blackmailing any individual they think is a potential threat to PFDJ. Yes they are paid agents of PFDJ but they show a sinister act deliberate planning to create suspicion and confusion in order to extend the suffering of our people. So far it is working for them but I am sure the tide is shifting toward the justice seeker and peace lovers. I am sure they will pay heavily for that.

I am also irritated and very angry with meskerem.net, about the treatment of Dr Daniel Rezene, with unproven and malicious acussations. I do not know this guy but for any caring eritrean democrat, this should be considered as insult to all of us.
The reason where we are today is because, we allowed unopposed crimes against humanity by our own parties. Meskerem has no ethical standards and have now qualified to be the “Daily Mail” of the eritrean web sites.

It is really amazing about meskerem net , i don’t understand what is their aim, I think this people is funded by Isayas , just to create confusion among the opposition party, they never write about Eritrean problems but they dare to talk about Eritrean brave man like Amanuel and Dr Daniel . It is really pity that this certain Alem Agointom with his knowledg of Eritrean history can not understand what harm his is cousing to the next generation.His children.
contrary to his father general goitom which was serving as the Eritrean poice commissioner during the king hailesellasie era and at least joining the ELF.
It seems to me that the owner either doasnt have a clue on journalistic ethics or he has a very dirty hand.
Again this journey takes me to Naz yemane doing a radioshow from Halifax in canada
