My condolences to my Eritrean brothers, and sisters, you expected substantive message, from the arranged PIA interview. It was painful to listen to PIA interview. But it is nothing new. You can go back 10-20 years back, and you hear the same empty spins. He lectures us how one should be able to think, and what one should be able to do. Who is he lecturing to? He has been 100% in control to what is going on in Eritrea for the last 26 years, and he has failed to deliver any economic progress. In fact he decimated Eritrea’s economy. It is time for him to go. My brothers, and sisters, if we don’t weak up from the coma we are in, and get rid of PIA, we are going to lose Eritrea for good. We are running out of time. If we give him more time, he is going to do irreversible damage that will require yet another sacrifice to bring back Eritrean sovereignty. For the last 20 years he has been telling us that as long as Ethiopia is occupying our territory, there would not be any normalization of relations. We have now normalized relations with Ethiopia while our territory is still occupied by Ethiopia. Let us justify that by the political change in Ethiopia, and we trusted the new Prime minister to deliver. It has been 4 month since we have normalized our relations, but no progress on pulling out from our territory, and no plan for demarcation to be completed. When PIA was asked about demarcation, he said we need to develop trust with Ethiopia, and stablish proper ground for demarcation. Who needs to trust who? We don’t hold any territory that belongs to Ethiopia. Is that mean they need to trust us before they vacate from our territory, and demarcate the border? It is not very difficult to understand that the president has no intention to demarcate the border. For the last 20 years he has been saying that Eritrea has been a sacrifice Lamb for Ethiopia. But it is now that we are becoming a sacrifice Lamb for Ethiopia. He is going to leave the border issue unresolved until Ethiopia stabilizes. And then who knows what he has planned for Eritrea. Here is what very Eritrean needs to pay attention. The president said any one who voices doubts about border demarcation, and inquires bout it is considered against the peace process with Ethiopia. Remember the last 20 years ,if you make any criticism of the government you were called Woyne. Now that is not an option any more, this is a new intimidation method. We don’t even have a right to ask about our border that we paid direly to protect. Which was a war that he initiated? And he had the audacity to say that we did not lose, while celebrating with Dr. Abiy. The president said we are in a fork road. And we are. This is the time to save Eritrea. Where are our Arm Forces? Where are the Lions of Nakfa? The clock is ticking!
Peace and Liberty to Eritrean People!
Warsay Adhanom.

TPLFs would be hunting and finish him off for good for his crimes against innocent children in Mekelle school bombed during the Badme war. He will be buried in Amara kilil very soon.
Genet-Original November 9, 2018
Now, TPLF is angry at DIA, because he is parting with the rest of Ethiopians. TPLF has been in power in Ethiopia for the past 27 good years. They couldn’t even do what DIA did for the Ethiopian opposition. The Eritrean opposition were constricted by TPLF to the point attending or crushing their meeting. When DIA is helping Ethiopian oppositions like G7 to make peace with PM Abye, TPLF could not even give Eritrean oppositions an acknowledge. So thanks for noting.

What was sad about Isaias’ “interview” was to see the faces of those two young Eritrean “interviewers” sitting in front of him. It was truly heart breaking! They were given a set of questions to ask with no follow-up or supplementary questions and they had to endure sitting in front of the monster for 80 minutes (I would probably throw up in his face in 2 minutes – just thinking of him makes me sick). Isaias waffled the whole time oblivious of their presence. The “interviewers” only asked 4 questions which he seemed to either not understand or simply ignore.
What is clear to everyone from the “interview” is that Isaias has lost his mind and he is frankly mad. Tragically those around him do not know he is mad either. Eritrea is led by someone who is mentally deranged and incapable of putting 2 and 2 together, let alone run a country. We should cry for our beloved country in unison.
It is tragic for us as Eritreans to wait for the TPLF to take out Isaias, which they may do (I wish them well). But what are the Eritrean Defence Forces doing armed to their teeth? If they are not able to defend the country from the enemy within, what hope do we have they will defend the country from external enemy?
Are we Eritreans so cowards beyond belief to let Isaias singlehandedly destroy our country and then handover its sovereignty to his own country of Ethiopia? Our martyrs must be turning in their graves not by what Isaias is doing but by our inaction as citizens. Time to wake up before its too late!
Eritrea forever, death to dictatorship.

Follow Assenna guidelines and respect the forum. If you are not for constructive discussions, find a platform which matches your nonsense.
Tsehaye November 10, 2018
Dear assenna,
Could you please tell us why you think ዝበረቐ ጽሓየይ has not adhered to Assenna Guidelines? Why are you so reactive to comments that do not seem to align wth your own views? He has not used any profanity. He has simply expressed what he thinks the biggest problem in Eritrea is. Do you think Sol’s reply to his comment followed the guideline? ዝበረቐ ጽሓየይ has aptly described the PFDJ camp and the opposition. In fact, they are both two faces of the worthless Nakfa. What defines them best is their intolerance to ideas outside their group thinking cult. It is high time you people learn from the civilized societies that you live within.
assenna November 11, 2018
Dear Tsehaye,
1. How could we know why certain individuals do not adhere to Assenna guidelines? We never claimed we were mind readers, did we?
2. What do you mean with “your own views”? What are our own views? How different are they from yours or the individual you are representing here?
3. Get this: We are an Eritrean website. This is an Eritrean platform. We know we are suffering now because of what is happening to our people in our country. But that is not going to force us to denounce our identity or our history. Those who feel otherwise can go elsewhere.
Sol November 8, 2018
Dear assenna, it is not fair to blame you for not blocking this malignant and venomous commentator who frequently changes his name to drag the discussions into insults on bases of religion and region that serves the systematic divide and rule policy of the mafia regime because you can’t chase comments of Mr many names 24/7.

Thank you for your understanding. Would it be too much to ask of all of you Assenna commentators to watch out for divisive elements working day and night to undermine Assenna and the cause you and us stand for? Let’s look out for those who are trying to spread messages that would keep us divided instead of united.
Your cooperation is appreciated,

I agree with you when someone is insulting our Martrys (Dammit, including half of my family)
I agree with you when someone is shrugging our revolution (ghedli)

How about when someone explicitly express the way it is?
ዕበጦ ዓባብጦ is not going to solve our problem.
That’s why we are in this mess. HGDF is the sub product of EPLF. This is a fact. Do you want us to dissect to the homogeneous level, including CAS#s?
assenna November 9, 2018
Simon G.,
You agree with us when it comes to those insulting our Martyrs and shrugging our revolution. That is a good start. That been said, we also believe singling out certain individuals for things they cannot change about themselves (their religion/faith, their province of origin, their ethnicity, their culture, their language…etc) is fundamentally wrong and totally unacceptable. We believe it is destructive to play the game the way our enemies want it played because it does not serve our people nor our purpose which is to be instrumental in bringing about fundamental change. All we are saying is let’s focus on what unites us rather than what divides us.
Tsehaye November 10, 2018
Dear assenna,
I believe you have the right to defend the martyres and the revolution. Do you think that I also have the right to expose the barbarity of gedli against the Eritrean people and the countless fighters who were executed during gedli? The barbaric gedli has not only exterminated highland Eritreans through forced recruiting, tortured peasants and confiscated their livelihoods. Do you believe that the victim has the right to a fair hearing in this site? ኤርትራውያን መጉሃይቲ።
assenna November 11, 2018
Dear Tsehaye,
As far as we know, we do happen to have guidelines. And what is the point of having one, if it is not to be followed? So let’s follow it. As far as “a fair hearing” is concerned, this is a platform for Eritreans to raise and discuss issues that are relevant to them not a courtroom.

Unfortunately, democracy is not something the myopic Eritrean elites are capable of promoting and nurturing. Emotion is what governs their daily lives.

In my kind of professional world, when something fails we work very hard to find the root cause. Then, the solution.
We need to understand our problem.
Imagine: if one person is intimidating the whole nation, what does it say about us? Are we chicken? Are we as dumb as a boulder?
Or, he is not alone? He has many people working for him. He has many people support him, while they live in the free world. Why?
If we do not understand or not willing to work on that angle, we will be Minya Kolel, as usual.
I am sure some of you will be quick to label me again.

Simon G, let me respond to your delightful short gem.( November 11,2018)
1st. Humour Going to bed with shoes???!!!! I laughed to my heart’s content. It is good that I was in my bedroom. Imagine if I were in a Public Library or in a Café with my computer!!! Imagine the local news item >>> an Eritrean was kicked out from public establishment for disturbing clients with unstoppable roaring African laughter !!!! OH! Lord!!! ወለድኻ ኣይስምዑ ዝባሃል እዚ’ዩ!!!
Anyway, your quip triggered a story of a long, ago. It happened in a Government Boarding School. A kid from one of the provinces actually went to bed with his shoes !!! The next morning, the kid was in agony with swollen feet, so much so, that the shoes wouldn’t even come off. As can be imagined, the story was told and retold with the usual ingredients of ቅመም።
2nd. Now to SERIOUS matter
It is worth noting your closing sentence i.e. “It seems like we are tributaries that never merge”. Perfect! Here I go with my reaction! Setting aside the usual emotion, we must ACCEPT the REALITY of ERITREA and THINK in terms of ‘building bridges’ connecting OUR OWN “tributaries” [thanks Simon for the incisive term] reflecting the horrendous sacrifice made in the thirty-year war [1961 -1991], followed by neighbourly war of two years [1996/1998] and still suffering out of the twenty-seven (27) years under the present cruelest, dictatorial, indigenous self, -appointed president >>> with no sight of relief to the Eritrean people. This is NOT exaggeration but a hard fact that the World is fully aware of.
Let me narrate a short story. I went to a Medical Doctor for a check-up on my ailment. During the usual preliminary greetings and very short chat, I answered his question that I am an Eritrean. To my surprise, he was politely DISGUSTED and asked in a slight raised voice: “WHY ARE YOU FIGHTING NOW?”, obviously knowing the 30-year liberation war was over and that Eritrea is an independent State. He was NOT expecting an answer from me, as he immediately went straight to work on my health problem. By the way, he is a young Iranian.
My story is to raise the strange ‘phenomenon’ that Eritrea had to go through one war and then initiate another one, as if it is hypnotized to fighting for eternity. Of course, arguments can be presented from every direction but the end result remains that Eritrea is under constant destructive phases for a total uninterrupted period of time of fifty-seven (57) years – and still continuing. When will we have the time to: a) be frank with each other; b) admit our age-old inherent sociological problem; c) come to our senses and adopt the obvious solution; and finally d) take bold actions in the direction towards our own socio/economic development programs for the benefit of the entire Eritrean people? These are the questions/aspiration that we must answer/aspire to or exist (NOT LIVE) in misery, perpetually.
3rd. My Humble Conclusion If we are NOT OPEN about our INHERENT PROBLEM [in its entirety] we will NEVER get a remedy to our ‘WOUNDS’. There is no short-cut. and no hip of insults upon each other on the Internet is going to ‘cut the cake’, as the saying goes. In fact, as nothing stand still in international politics, Eritrea may very well find itself being international ጉዚ። And we will have NO BODY to blame but OURSELVES – with our notorious insults to each other (psychologically, a perfect sign of hopelessness). መንገዱ ዝጠፍኦ መንገደኛ። THE END
