Dictatorial regimes have a vested interest in making culprits of everybody and involving as many as possible in their acts of violence. Loyalty to the regime is ensured when people are entangled in the web of criminal acts spun by the regime. Likewise, their credibility is easy to tarnish or question, if one at a later day decides to oppose the regime and expose its crimes. On the day of reckoning, the logic of evil is that if everybody is guilty then nobody is guilty.

If Eritreans are to break the cycle of violence and counter-violence and retreat from the path of self-destruction, they have to take great leap forward on behalf of the future generation not only in Eritrea but in the entire region of north-east Africa. The Diaspora, in particular those of us who live in peaceful and democratic countries, have the responsibility of paving the way and sowing the seeds of peace where future generations can live in harmony.

This is the time for all Eritreans unite and raise only one flag, our Liberation Flag, the flag of our forefathers, the flag of our martyrs, the flag that we raised from the beginning to the end of our revolution, our liberation flag, SEMAYAWIT BANDERANA!

This is the time to save our culture, our land and our people before it’s too late!

This is the time for all Eritreans to unite and stand for justice, freedom, liberty and equality.

We should stand against our #1 enemies the mad dog, tyrant dictator Isayas wedi Berad, his blind followers HIGDEF.

It’s time to liberate our land and our people.

    Let freedom ring in Akeleguzay!
    Let freedom ring in Barka!
    Let freedom ring in Denkel!

Let freedom ring in Hamassien!

    Let freedom ring in Sahil!
    Let freedom ring in Semhar!
    Let freedom ring in Senhit!
    Let freedom ring in Seraye!
    Eritrea will be free soon!

Our original Eritrean Liberation Flag, Semayawit Banderana will rise up all over Eritrea!
We did it 1991 and we will do it again 2015.

Dear Ms Keetharuth and your cleagues

Firstly I would like to thank you for showing commitment and integrity in the task entrusted to you in relation to the Eritrean people’s predicament where untold human rights abuses have been taking place for decades. Thank you for being an example to us, and for caring about us.

Today’s rally in Geneva is testimony to your findings. Most of the demonstrators are young and direct victims of the ruthless PFDJ regimes.

Secondly, I would like to share our disappointment and sense of shame for what some of our compatriots – supporters of the unruly regime – tried to do. They threatened and intimidated you and your colleagues. We are sorry that the same abuses that we have been experiencing for many years, have been tried on you too.
May God protect you and your families from any harm. Amen.
