Listening the interview as we already know is obviously the type of over the top rhetoric that has
characterized Eritrean politics for long time. Once the big phrase was about the best and brightest , no more with these guys. Threat, restrictions not to exercise or practice independently as writers, analysts and other intellects as usual is HGDF tactics to promote their selfish agenda of corruption with a circle of sold-outs, dimmest and loudest non- trustworthy individuals. It sad irony, when he mentioned about the two Eritrean journalists who captured and how DIA responded toward their fate, it reminds me when Mengustu denied the presence of thousands of his soldiers war prisoners inside Eritrea. It is evident to all open minded fellows that our people are under control of injustices and corruption but unfortunately those who support blindly the coercion maintain to stay opposed on open dialogue for political change and always being pretexts by blaming others instead. The willful ignorance is the main problem in dooming our country.

Ali Abdo is agent of SAUDI.
Do you know Eritreans we had oil in 1935. Befor it was found in Saudi,Our great ENEMY is Italians, they left our ansestrs with out education, our people die for Italian benefit in SOMAL,LIBYA[Tripoli] Ethiopia.Italians left us with nothing.Eritreans they cano’t go combishtato, where Italians leave,MAY JAHJAH,PARADIZO,TO BAR GIMA.They are not alawed to go with white.
ABRAHA DEBOCH,MEGOS ASGODOM they throw the bomb over Graziani is the anger Italia do on Eritreans,But Ethiopia USE for their poletic, Zeray Deres do the same in Rome, becouse of his country Eritrea, not for Ethiopia .
Ethiopia make prisoner exchange ,zeray Deres was remain in priso cazerma Moseleni, becouse Eritrea was under Britsh coloni. When Eritrea was under federation Ethiopia use for its poletics.
Naw why I bring this as Ethiopia play game by Tedla Bayru ,Saudi is playing game,by Isayas,GADAFI ,to fight with our Tgray brathers & nibours, Ali Abdo was Isayas masenger to Katar,SAUDI to buy & give gun to Somalia Alshebab, this fight help Somal to find its oil field.
Saudi game was by making fight to gain oil of Eritrea & Somalia, sauth sudan,if we oparate oil field they will not have the Saudi oil field is in higher place than us mostly Eritrea have more oil that is why we have endless war.Eritreans be wise watch out see diferent direction don’t be like horse wich pull carosa.let us work together for our country than to be mersanery.

No higher or lower places, my friend. Did you hear about sea level? You seem, you didn’t. East of the Red Sea is on the same level to West of the Red Sea; that means, Eritrea and Saudia are on the same level. You can pump you oil as you like my friend and Saudia has nothing to do with your drilling of oil. Secondly, the Saudi oil fields are on the Eastern part of Saudi Arabia and not on Western part of Saudi Arabia; the oil fields are very very very far from Eritrea. The oil fields of Saudi Arabia are near Iran. Do you hear about a country named Iran? Please, sure of what you write or you will only expose your ignorance. The space here is to exchange information and constructive ideas; it is not space to write about mistaken information we acquire when we were children. Brother, upgrade your old knowledge.

Yes, Eritreans had lived under the Italian colonial occupation and the racism that came with it until 1941. Even with all this occupation, tens of thousands of Eritreans were also able to get education upto grade four in all corners of Eritrea, while many Ethiopians could not get this opportunity until 1991, when Ethiopia was liberated with full and major support of the Eritrean People’s Liberation Front — EPLF.
During Italian occupation of Eritrea, several refugees flocked to Eritrea, from Sudan, Yemen, Somalia and Ethiopia. The majority of the refugees, this is hundreds of thousands came from Ethiopia to do and work all sorts of jobs, including construction, farms, maids, restuarants, Italian army conscripts … you name it. The refugee flow from Ethiopia was so much, the Italian administrators were rounding them up to send them back to Ethiopia. This shows, Italian occupied Eritrea was far better to this people than life under Menilik or Ras Teferi.
As far as I know, Ali Abdu is not involved in buying armaments. Lets stick to the truth and facts on the ground.

What the heck are u talking about? Do u know that Ethiopia had a best education system during Haileselassie era, let alone Ethiopians and Eritreans, many Africans are benefited. To mention few Addis Ababa University,Awassa college of Agriculture ,Almhaya University , Asmara university, Jimma college, Bahir Dar Polytechnic Institute, Debrezeit Veterinary Science, Addis Ababa Commercial college, Ethiopian Airlines flight technician and pilot training .These are the college where their graduates proud and still contribute both globally and Nationally. These institution provide the best in terms of quality and relevance of education.
At least this is not politics let say the truth for the sake of our next generation. These are the pionees even for the current increase in the no of university and education was equally free for all who were qualified at that time. The students were coming from diverse community Eritrea, Tigray, Gojam, Gondr, South,Wellega,Arsi Harar even some from Kunama and Afar minority.I do not deny there is an increase in the of colleges after 2000 but the quality goes down to tge drain and most of the colleges were just upgrade and change their name except Mekelle University,Afar region , Rifty valley , dessie and Somalia region. But there are also some additions like Jimma health science, Arba Minch water technology, Nazret technology institute to mention a few, including many teachers training colleges. In short let us not politicize education system.

There is unconfirmed information that a large number of Ethiopian troops are heading to the north. Nobody knows when but for sure there will be a minor or a major conflict erupting between Ethiopia and Eritrea anytime soon.
The blue print to go to war on the Weyene side to get rid of the Hgdef regime seem to be finalized. The Ethiopian side have been shopping all sorts of armaments from Russia, Ukraine and North Korea, as well as communication tools from USA, Israel and China in the last two years.
The Ethiopian side is on a standby waiting for a political decision and others regional “sparks” to shoot the first salvo. Do you think war will erupt soon? If it does, will the Weyanes stop in Assab or will they go all the way to asmara?
sol January 28, 2012
This is the right question needs a knowledgeable political analyst in the region but let me use my naive knowledge of both regimes and the current situation in the region. It is obvious that the heart of TPLF wants to wage war right now but the brain does say wait for the moment of not wanting to go to war because they do not know the real outcome by the end of the day. Of course Meles think it is a little short of going to war for one thing that the out come of the war should out smart that of the cost of the war interns of diplomacy, human life, resource above all political and military gain. But for sure even though they are not sure to go to full war they will attempt minor skirmishes through aerial and heavy artillery bombardment and insurgency in various fronts and possibly also target assignation of the EPLF leadership or generals. This will send a war is coming as a result the Eritrean military take any opportunity to run away and create a smell of war in the society which will broke the relative peace, economic growth and stability after the gold boom. The advantage of TPLF is that no Eritrean with right mind does not spare a time let alone a life for this regime. The Eritrean nationalism has been killed long in side Eritrea and only exist in YPFDJ and quite a few diaspora but not willing to pay a hefty price to save the regime. As u mentioned above TPLF will launch minor but effective skirmish and continuous and spread military attacks to weaken and kill the regime.
sol January 28, 2012
Why TPLF wants war now?
Currently Meles is not only in good terms with all his neighbors, regional and international organizations except Eritrea not o my those countries work with Meles but they are also submissive to his saying and look his advice. In addition he has got trust both from South Sudan and Sudan. TPLF is at peace because no strong insurgency from all neighbors except Eritrea. If TPLF to stay in power he has to silence PIA . The other big reason is a great public dissatisfaction in Ethiopian society due to price rise and inflation would result public protest which would easily turn the TPLF in to precarious position. The gold boom and also the potash deposit which would raise a lot of money could stabilize the Eritrean economy and enable not only to but sophisticated weapons but also buy international allies and able to secure high security apparatus and intelligence to control the army and the society inside and outside of Eritrea, also minimizes the migration of youth due to economic incentive.Ofcourse the economy growth in Eritrea also used to finance the regimes media against TPLF and some also goes to finance Ethiopian oppositions in military, logistic and media support.currently the regime in Asmara far at better situation after 2000 due to the mining and improvement in agriculture sector , this is very perplexing for Ethiopian leaders as the rhetoric of self reliance is far better than their so called free economy and democracy.
Sing-A-POOR January 29, 2012
wow what a superb political economic analysis. You can but friends with gold. As far as I know gold is a good friend of woman that money can buy. Since when is relf reliance better. Could you give us a numerical data??? Is the world bank head quartered inEritrea and the IMF? I think you have to read the loans and monetary aid the dictator is getting before you give premature and crude analysis. Let’s be wise and talk what we know not what we feel.

That is what worry most, those Tokhalu HGDF leadership minimized our spirit of
nationalism slowly at a time. If we are attacked by foreigner millitary force it would be worst than the badme war. Please do not get me wrong I want HGDF to get eliminated, but not to the price of our men/women who been enslaved the last
more 10 yrs on the name of national service. I prefer onother alternatives to get
rid those spoiled apples in Eritrean society. We can’t afford more deaths of our own.
Concerning those idiots coming with different names ignore them stick with your liking.

Dan Nomav January 28, 2012
I am very disgusted with Assena.com for giving a platform for such a lowlife character in Amanuel Hadera. For the record I hate Isias and despise Ali Abdu. I can’t wait for the day
when Isias and all his puppets like Ali Abdu are brought to justice for their crimes against our people. Amanuel’s claim that Ali Abdu is a defender of Islam and Muslims is way over the top. Amanuel and I know that Ali Abdu is a leach who supported and facilitated his own father’s arrest to please the dictator. Amanuel’s claim that Ali Abdu is keen in defending Muslims when he knows Ali Abdu’s staff is over 90% christian and his boss is a fanatic and Islamophobic dictator is tantamount to being a hater of Islam and Muslims. I know Amanuel is a liar and stooge of Woyane. I only wish one of these days Amanuel is exposed for what he really is, A LIAR and a lowlife mouse. For all we know Amanuel could a little spy sent by Isias. Amanuel, you are a disgrace to your country be it Eritrea or Ethiopia and a poor example to all who may look up to you.
Zebib January 28, 2012
Thank you very much Assenna and Amanuel Eyassu. This is a gem of an interview. In the middle of the horrible system there are a lot of Amanuel Mahdere(s) waiting to take charge and run things by the rule of law. After listening the interview, it is glaringly evident that the system is imploding and on the verge of a collapse!! Isayas made Ali Abdu in his image and Ali Abdu in turn is working day and night to make all those in his Ministry to be in his image but to our delight and hope there emerge jeganu like Amanuel Mahdre who in my view should write a book exposing the modus operandi of this evil and backword system holding hostages the people of Eritrea through lies that have now dried up! For me, thanks to Amanuel Mahdere’s extraordinary interview, the dye is cast and we are at the beginning of the end. (I did not enjoy the music interlude and the volume increase. Too loud and too much interuption.)
Dan Nomav January 28, 2012
If you believe that Amanuel is jegna that you ought to be institutionalized. This character is a liar and divisive. His intention is to wage religious and ethnic mistrust among Eritreans of goodwill. I know Ali Abdu’s stand on Islam and what Amanuel espoused id far from the truth. This character is a liar and dangerous. He will never set foot in Eritrea for the rest of his pathetic life let alone be in a leadership position.
Asgedet January 28, 2012
Dan Namov,
You might as well take your Gestapo crap somewhere else. We heard it from the horse’s mouth where Eritrea is not only being run by hooligans with a touch of sociopathy and psychopathy, it is rather incredibly saddening the fact that the Eritrean people can not do anything about it as they are intimidated and coerced as the world remains indifferent to their perennial plight. Having said that however, a glimpse of hope is on the horizon as the youth are standing up to tyranny where Isaias and his cohorts are teetering on a verge of oblivion.
Dan Nomav January 28, 2012
I think you need to take your ‘inda sewa’ attitude to the ghetto of where ever you live. I am exposing the intent of the
fanatic liar in Amanuel and his likes. Now, if you don’t like that
you may need more help than I can give in this bulletin board. BTW, are you Eritrean or some ‘Tzomakeet sewa’ from indabashawell/American gebi in Addis?
Abnet Tesfai January 28, 2012
Dan Nomav
first foremost you should control you temper. this panel is for discussions to emanate Brilliant and insightful ideas that can help to whet our attitudes which is momentous in our futurity as a nation. otherwise in this panel no one outwits others.
in your view just provide your facts that Ali Abdu proves he is religious bias.
as my personal observation during my old times in Eritrea it was very easy for me to discern that Ali abdu has weakness in his altitude towards religion.
as many of us may remember ali was in HAMAMETE’A eritrean youth and student association. before he was officially recognized as minster( figure head) of ministry of information, he has great contribution in the structuring of hamamate’a.
if any of you had paid attention to the religion of the leaders in the hamamate’e ,in all sub zones and zones all were Muslims. except in zoba debub one christain who is now a sport commissioner for zoba maekel. i was telling this structure for any person i knew even some of the current advisories of ali abdu in the ministry of information about this issue.
i have friends now in the ministry of information who used to tell me that they are suffering from the segregation of religion within the ministry. therefore i have already proved amanuel’s point regarding this issue before he conducted his interview.
so, Dan Nomav before you ascribe people as liars you have to make your personal inquiry.
Zebib January 29, 2012
Dan Nomav
Ata sdi beAlege. You are a living shame to those parents who probably toiled so you can have some education and how do you reward them by using such a heavy foul language and offensive insults. Had you any confidence in your arguments you wouldn’t have resorted to your ugly method as you are doing. Even you will be back in Eritrea when we have a nation that belongs to its people except that you will learn how to behave properly. What percent of those colleagus of Isayas who are behind bars are moslems?? You keep wanting to saw hatered and divisiveness between moslems and christians pretending to be disturbed by Ali abdu being accused of a fraction of the real harm he is doing to the Eritrean people. Do us a favour and SHUT UP!!
Zebib January 29, 2012
Dan Nomav (part 1)
I will let the readers decide which one of us requires to be institutionalized. You sound like a bull dozer! You discredit a person who probably is a beakon of light in this dark dark days of our history, who by the virtue of his education and vocation (a journalist) gives us a detailed, comprehensive and articulate analysis of what the Minister and the Ministry with Isayas at the helm are doing (as a mafia outfit) to keep the Eritrean people mis-informed and on their toes with fear and terpidation. I would give him a gold medal for services so far rendered. He is baring naked the modus operandi of Hgdef and Ali Abdu. He is a contemporary historian, live and direct. It is such unstable and inept people who are ruling our country!
Zebib January 29, 2012
Dan Nomav (part 2)
One of the mechansims for absolute rule Isaias has failed in sawing in the Eritrean population is divisiveness. He, it appears, would like to see the Eritrean people fragmented to little pieces (along any lines) so that he could remain seated in the throne pretending to glue it together. This is an old trick! Even rullers like Haile Selassie utilized it. That Ali Abdu encourages for Jeberti to be a biher did not come as a surprise to me. Neither would it surprise me if Ali Abdu to lick even harder his masters *** he would use not his religion (if he has one that is) but I will wager even his own mother (remember his father in Jail at 80+) so that Isayas will merely smile at him. They are all sick my friend. Amanuel Mahdere has been observing them for a long time and is thoroughly disgused. Calm down and think and reflect before you bull doze facts.
Zebib January 29, 2012
please read: and is thoroughly disgusted.
