We, the Eritrean Youth for Unity, Salvation and Justice in Seattle and vicinities, are cordially inviting all our Eritrean brothers and sisters residing in the Puget Sound area to join hands with us without any delay, for the salvation of our country, Eritrea, at this most critical time in its history, as an independent nation.

Our Call is timely and imperative to happen. The present socio- political and economic condition in Eritrea is so chaotic and disturbing, which raises the questions whether or not our country will survive as a nation, any more. For those of you who may question our factual reports on the ground in Eritrea, our report is easily verifiable by attending to daily global media outlet reports, and related United Nations Reports on Eritrea.

 Therefore, as children of Eritrea under siege, our individual human conscience should compel us to grab the torch from our elders, in the Eritrean opposition camps, who, despite their appreciable, relentless opposition of many years, but couldn’t succeed in forming a working political platform for national unity, we should, therefore, step in, and become the positive trend setters.

We shouldn’t be discouraged by the apathy of the general populace, nor should we be puzzled by the complete absence of the Eritrean intellectuals from the ongoing progressive political discourse.    

The time for us to get engaged in unison is to-day, not tomorrow. There is no better opportunity for us to get united and lead by example than right now.  If we don’t, history will question us tomorrow. So, we had better own the future of our country now, because it rightfully belongs to us !!

Long live our unity, and no matter what, Eritrea, as our common motherland, will prevail as an Independent Nation!!!
