What a refreshing and candid discussion. Thank God, there are still people around who can think and talk. Amanuel, you need to do this often.
I tried to hear all the four parts, Issaias gave last week. What a boring man.
Eritrea is in the wrong hand, a mad man like Gadafi who knows all.
May God save us from a complete idiot. He thinks, he is right but the entire world is wrong.
Kim Jong Il is gone but Africa’s own Kim is still talking …

Following the Tsorena debacle during the border war, the sadistic woyane changed tact to attack the person of PIA. In any case, Eritreans were able to see through it and it amounted to nothing, other than a pile of debris. PIA, having lead the nation into independence, managed to preside over its successful defense for its survival. He managed to bring Eritrea, that was demolished and ravaged by war and neglect, into semblance of statehood with fully functioning apparatus. He managed to avoid crippling debt and reasonable agricultural and manufacturing self sustenance. Now, under his leadership, the nation is developing a nascent lucrative mining sector that would guarantee the flow of hard currency to the nation. The nation’s medical school produces home grown doctors and health professionals. Eritrean sports men and women are world and continental class. If PIA was to go now, undoubtedly he has done what anyone would only dream to achieve in a life time. However, his success would even be more complete if he stays long enough to leave Eritrea with internationally demarcated border with our southern neighbors as well as institute a truly functioning democratic order for the people by the people. Although, we still think he is a remarkable human being for achieving what he has to date, against the incessant evil of a sadistic enemy.

        read…and ensured reasonable agricultural…

Dictators had always yes men like you who failed to make a balanced judgement for utterly brutal regime who failed nationally and internationally and crowned as the most sadistic leader ever the world had seen. As the consequence, our youth are running away in all directions as hyena or fox in the middle of hoard of sheep.
Then why are old young male female Eritreans wish to say goodbye and separate from his loved ones? Is it because Kozami and others few opportunists like you have interest in the demise of Eritrea.
I just want to remind you, hell or high water, your boss must go for the sake of justice and democracy and it is a matter of time soon and many people like you will cheer the new ones. That ids what opportunusts do.

        kozami
        part 1
during the armed struggle of the Eritrean people your dictator humiliated, intimidated, killed, chased to neighboring countries the brilliant and heroic fighters whom he considered they are his rival in power and still he is continuing that malefactor.
your dictator worked hard to advertise his name in the Eritrean community…..like issayas aforki tekelakalai tanki….. but he never defended a single tank. all the tanks were defended by other heroic Eritreans. unfortunately all these heroes are either they are martyred, disabled and remained poor and confused, or frozen/deskilom/ or thrown to the streets. All the ones flattering to the dictator had no or minimum contribution like himself example ali abdu.
the people of Eritrea is staying in a very long queue for very small bread in the ENDA KUBON. KOZAMI is this your achievement you telling us? it is shame on you to try to give us your wittiness which is none existent in the ground.
1.your dictator closed the factories where the Eritreans were earning their life.
2.he closed the private construction contractors
3.he chased the businesses men who are now in Uganda and other part of the world.
4.he kicked out the farmers of Karneshim zone and others in the eastern escarpments from their arable lands in semienawi bahri.

        • Abnet Tesfai January 4, 2012

          kozami
          part 2
you are trying to tell us the acheivments in health and other constructions.
are you convinced by the unqualified and unrecognized accandamic better to call them military institutions. allt he so called grauduates of these flee the country after their grauation.. i ask why?? if you are keen you will answer it, if you will continue to fawn you will talk habeskedes.
there may be small clinics and schools constructed anywhere for the sake of political gambling and to cheat some simple indiviuadals. but , they donot have any medical supplies, with out health personnel and teachers.
most of the teachers and health workers are leaving either to sudan or ethiopia. why? go on kozami yourself, but not habeskedes….
THE ERITREAN ENEMIES USED TO SAY… WE NEED THE SEA NOT THE PEOPLE. AND NOW YOU SEEM, YOU WANT TO SEE SMALL DAMS, SHORT AND UNRELIABLE ROADS, PUBLIC INSTITUTIONS WITH OUT PUBLIC SERVANTS… BUT THE ERITREAN AND ERITREAN NATIONALISM PURGED.
EVERYTHING YOU MAY DO… THE PEOPLE COMES FIRST.

    Interview FIA about our youth:
    1. He said we are still at war. What a hoax. Didn’t he over and over told us the boarder is virtually demarcated, hence no more war.
2.”he youth could come back, no problem”, he added to contradict hence the youth stay where they are; he wants them to come rich or a PHD. The same excuse to absolve and steal their money as they did with the bond and rich Eritreans who returned and left empty handed.
    3. He said, “The youth tell us will punish us”. The interviewer wanted a promise from a Dictator, not to punish them. In his answer he unintentionally made it clear he is not a real leader but a capo of mafioso. His answer was, ” wala hade sintsia einom zenferolom yelen” translated into, “no body will touch them”. What a poor Eritrea, it is crystal clear manifest of a one man show response by blurting not a law of land.
    4. Finally, thank you, Dr Bereket, Anghesom and Assefaw. We respect and admire your contribution. we want you to remain in the focus to help us towards democracy and justice.

  • Abdi January 4, 2012

We don’t want regime change we are happy with PIA plan for the economy and the future of Eritrea,he could ve done by the constitution but it wouldn’t give him enough time to put his 50yrs plan into practical, hence he opted to ignore the constitution for a while or until the country becomes economically stable and the living standards of the Eritreans improves, then he will hand the power to the people.having seen his steps towar the growth and in the right direction,we are happy to be by his side even if that takes 50yrs to achieve.so you worthless conferences addicted ssellouts keep licking woyane boots and we will keep marching alongside our brother until we make it to the top.

    • Abnet Tesfai January 4, 2012

we Eritreans are not so foolish that to remain deceived by internationally famous dictator and plus. he had pervasive speech ( was not an interview), as every of us know that he declared there is no any hunger person, but in his speech
he said,….. as we are not good for to handle you please come with good money….. as he is telling to everybody, Eritrean is one of the fast growing economy but if it is growing fast how it is to ask us to come with big money
      2. he said… if you come back to Eritrea, no one will intimidate, kill or imprison you as no one is entitled to do so…… we know that the is no any rule of law in the country so every shit colonel or his messenger can do everything on the returnee.
on the other face of his speech he is right no one has authority in the country except him.
      3. he announced that there will not be any election. issayas is exercising 13 century politics or like the MESAFINTI who were governing the HABESHA region, as they were accountable for every movement and destiny of every individual. like wise the Eritrean dictator decides alone what is good for him self to stay long in power.

      • Abnet Tesfai January 4, 2012

After he abducted the Eritrean liberty and locked it in his drawer he stayed to tell us directly to do what he wants if not either you have to be in the prison or killed or remain in the diaspora.
Issayas is everything in Eritrea, he is a general, president, farmer, engineer, doctor, economist, construction worker, national and international political and economic analyst, merchant…. therefore according to his philistine and crazy mind no one should think about any thing. accordingly he is the only one to tell the Eritrean people that when is the convenient time to conduct the election and to implement the constitution, and that is after he follows ghadafi. otherwise all excuses are fake and deceiving
        ….. one man..one country… one crazy mind.

  • Teweldeberhan January 4, 2012

Thank You Amanuel for organising the panel discussion. The discussion shows the same old problem of our politicians who never make deep and objective analyses but always stick to their pre conceived conclusion even if time and objective conditions change. How else can you explain Dr. Assefaw’s argument that Change will come from within the country peacefully when he clearly knows that the regime does not allow any peacefull movement even by war disabled veterans in their wheel chair? How long will it take and how long have our youth to suffer? Doesn’t he know that for our youth in Sawa and our people in solitary prison and torture even one day is too long? What about Dr.Anghesom who bury his head like ostrich? Doesn’t he see that the Hawassa meeting does not represent the Eritrean society but is a meeting of religious organisations and ethnic separatists dominated by Tadamun? I expect objective anlyses from our PHDs. Dr. Assefaw should know that there is no permanent friend or permanent enemy but permanent interest? That it is contradiction in terms to expect peaceful solution with a tyranical regime which does not believe in peace. Dr. Anghesom should know that any meetings gathered in the name of Eritreans does not necessarilly represent the interest of the Eritrean people. Eritrean religious political parties like Tadamun does not represent the interest of the Eritrean people at large but of their religious followers. Dr. Bereket was good and objective.

  • Wey Gud January 4, 2012

The border issue is a foreign aggression issue: Eritrea as a whole against Ethiopia. And the dispute we have with the foreign aggressor (Woyanie) was solved by an international court of law. That is a fact. Woyanie is not abiding by the law. That is another fact. Twist and turn if you like, you can never run away from these facts. Hence, any Eritrean should never have any doubt on this regard. All Eritreans, if they care about Eritrea, should stand along side Eritrea and Eritrean government and be against the foreign injustice. Period!!!

Trying to justify your selfishness, dream of easy power grab and your subordination to Woyanie, by twisting facts will not go down easily with the Eritrean people. So, all of you Tequamerti out there, first you have to say no to outside aggression and injustice, then you can ask or fight the whatever internal issues you think are not right. That is the only way to get to the Eritrean people.

  • Wey Gud January 4, 2012

The other sad part of all this is, these so called Tequamerti, can not dissociate themselves from Ethiopia. They can not talk about Eritrea with out showing their weak subordination to Ethiopia. Shame! Fools, remember we fought 30 + years to go away from the south. Can’t you be a bit smarter? Can’t you differentiate outside (Foreign) and internal issues?

  • Wey Gud January 4, 2012

The problem is, these so called Tequamerti, never had Eritrean Interest at heart. All of them possess selfish, individual, twisted interests and deep subordination complex. They can never talk about Eritrea, or do any useful thing for Eritrea, with out associating it with Ethiopia. Do these fools realize it took us 30+ years, a historical referendum and bloody border war to fend off these aggressors from the south?

Part 1 Rout to Economic prosperity and democracy
Most African countries have western designed, EXPORTED democratic systems. They do elections and what not. But, they are the poorest countries in the world economically. Power transfer after election has never been smooth and peaceful. China on the other hand, never exported western democracy, chose to develop economically by following and adhering to strict rules. No election in a western sense. But Chinas economy is booming. Actually China would be the next candidate for super -power-dome. China realized, it would never develop economically and catches up with the West if it simply exports Western ideology. Remember, the west has the luxury to experiment and rectify their democratic systems for long years, with no or minimum outside interference. Under the greedy watchful eyes of the west, the developing countries have no such luxury . The only way to catch up with the West is not to strictly fallow “Western Designed Democracy in its totality”. China realized that and used military and strict rules when it comes to its Economy, and on the political side, concentrated more on “Accountability”, “Fighting Corruption”, and “Human rights – which do not violate its general principles.

  • Wey Gud January 4, 2012

    Part 2 – Cont. of part 1
MY QUESTION TO YOU ALL IS: IS IT EASIER FOR CHINA TO CHANGE TO WESTERN DEMOCRACY NOW AND FIT COMFORTABLY IN THE DEMOCRATIC SYSTEM OF WORLD, OR FOR AFRICAN NATIONS, (WHO ALREADY HAVE EXPORTED WESTERN DEMOCRACY), TO GROW ECONOMICALLY AND FIT?
The Eritrean people and their government realize very well this condition of our world and are working hard to grow economically, and at the same time exercise install democratic institutions practical to the case of Eritrea, and not make the same mistake what other failed African nations did. I.e. not import text book democratic systems that may not work for Eritrea. Of course Accountability, fight for corruption is also something the government is working on. And I am sure, gradually we will get there. Corruption is minimal or non existent in Eritrea. We are talking about the policy of the government here and not individual persons actions.

Part 3 – So called Opposition

The so called opposition, there fore should restructure themselves in such a way that:
    1. They have to show the Eritrean people their firm stands on the national security and unity of Eritrea. And stand with their people against foreign aggression
    2. They have to distance themselves from the main enemy of Eritrea – the Woyanie! And they have to openly voice their support to the Eritrean people and government on this regard.
    3. They have to openly oppose the injustice imposed upon Eritrea in the name of sanctions. And most of all NEVER BE PART OR COUSE OF ANY SUCH THING
    4. They have to recognize, the government’s efforts and achievements, and do their share in rebuilding Eritrea economically.
    5. They have to try to be part of the people and government and work from within in building democratic institutions which do fallow the guidelines in part 1
    6. Then when the time comes the Eritrean people will reward them

      Wey Gud

People who are brought up inside a well regulated families, and people who are proud of their ancestors history do not side with criminals and robbers who abuse the poor and the weak and deny the rights of others. Kemai alekha ayteblo, ab gtsu reAyo, kemzibahal, your conduct and atrocities expose that you are zerE khomaro. Look and compare people like Amanuel Eyassu and Michael Abera and others of respected families stand-up for the rights of their abused youth and people. Go and lecture in your master websites for zerE khomaro, this is the site of the truly respected Eritreans.

        Hameed,

kan loms izi aqlitsbet ketselileka ilu. nab zer’en at’ababian emb’ar atika. tsbah ewn qeyahtn tselemtn ilka kitfelalyena ika. eten serihen deqen ze’ebia “komaro” intai iyen bedilenaka? I hate to say this, but you are so filthy and rotten.

        • Hameed January 5, 2012

The filthy and rotten are those who are ruling Eritrea and persons like you. When a country is hunted by street boys, we have to clarify to the people who are robbing the people from all its values. Go and watch their TV, which airs materials that contradicts with the values of the Eritrean people. A truly respected Eritrean of a good family will never do that. What is going on in Eritrea is the works of street boys, zerE khomaro. If you are proud Mr. T of being zerE khomaro, then run your life wherever like peacefull, but you are not allowed to mess with the people of Eritrea. I am speaking about street boys when they become rulers of a country. Don’t make Mr.T serihen zi nebra an excuse to respect zerE khomaro.

          • Mr. T January 5, 2012

Could you mention anyone from the PFDJ hierarchy who was a street boy and was raised by a “komarit”? Was Ali Abdu a street boy and raised by a “komarit”? I am eagerly waiting to read your answers, specially your answer about Ali Abdu. I am aware what you are trying to get at but before I say more about your own vagabond character, I will give you the opportunity to answer my two questions. Please don’t ramble on. I am only interested in your concise answers.
