According to the PFDJ government’s mouthpiece –  shabait.com, Dictator Isaias Afewerki will conduct an ‘intensive interview’ on ERI-TV. Previous experience tells us the PFDJ propaganda TV station has failed time and again to put the right questions forward. The list of the semi-formulated questions already published on shabait also suggest that even on this round, it is doomed to failure. Therefore, given it is Christmas time, hopefully, the last one for the PFDJ regime, we are giving it a hand by offering some relevant questions. We hope ERI-TV won’t decline the massive 100% discount. It should never miss this opportunity as there will never be another chance – all predictions indicate this will be the last Christmas for the PFDJ.

Compare the PFDJ wish list of questions (in Italics) with our offer (in bold)

H.E. President Isaias Afwerki will conduct extensive interview with the national media outlets on the occasion of New Year 2012.
The interview to be conducted in the second week of December, the President would highlight in depth the following issues:

– Eritrea’s enduring choice and independent political line;

In your 20 odd years as unelected leader, Eritrea has become a messenger and mouthpiece of some Arab countries; – actually you have been insulting other countries on their behalf and sending troops under their command when they order you to; so how could we say that Eritrea, under your leadership, had an independent political line?

– Effective popular participation, strong rebuff, valuable the Eritrean society’s culture and values;

In your reign as self-imposed ‘president’ you have been working hard to replace Eritrean society’s culture and values with your own, how far have you succeeded on this project?

– The bright future and tenacious strive of the Eritrean people inside the country and abroad;

In the last few years Eritrea has become to be known in the world for producing refugees. Who is chasing Eritreans out; particularly the youth? If a brave young man abstains from voting with his feet and tells you on your face that you are the main hurdle to his bright future, what would be your answer?

– Reward and glory to the Development Forces and their social security;

Your political life is full of unfulfilled promises. You have never stopped promising to reward the Eritrean army; in 1993, you have even said that ex-fighters will be compensated for their service with 1 dollar a day. But many have already died. How do you expect the ‘national service’ recruits to believe you this time around?

– Progress assessment of the integrated national development strategy;

Is this ‘integrated national development strategy’ a new name for the failed WARSAY-YEKEA’LO project which you have been using for your own propaganda purposes? How many generals and colonels (modern day slave masters) have benefited by enslaving the youth, while leading your WARSAY-YEKEA’LO project?

– Implementation of vital projects of economic emancipation and related freedom and sovereignty reinforcements;

How can you speak about economic emancipation while people are queuing for bread? Whose economic emancipation are you talking about? That of the generals and colonels; the emerging new class, which has been created by the dirty money of illegal human trafficking that is done by your corrupt commanders in collaboration with the Rashaida smugglers?

– Detailed all round future national plans, implementation guide lines and macro-economic productivity and effectiveness;

Could you please tell us Eritrea’s annual budget from last year, before talking about future national plans and macro-economic productivity?

– Ensuring food security and its role as a decisive factor for a higher stage;

Despite talking about ensuring food security for the last 20 years you have never achieved a tiny percentage of that; is it because your priority has always been ‘regime security’ rather than food security? Why do you deny there is hunger and malnutrition in Eritrea? Why don’t you allow humanitarian organisations to help Eritreans when they needed it?

–  The existing regional, continental and international scenarios;

Why do you jump to international scenarios before even digesting the national scenarios? How many months do you have before you are paraded on the streets of Asmara like your close friend Gaddafi? aren’t you even ashamed of talking to the new leader of Libya in front of the Eritrean people, who only (according to your wish) know that ‘Brother Gaddafi’ is still in power? By the way, have you been to Adi Ya’kob and Barka to ask your superstitious old friends to help you predict your near future?

These are just a few questions around the issues the PFDJ itself wanted to focus on. Many, fur more relevant and important issues, such as human rights abuses; lack of democracy and justice: repression of the press and religions, discarding of the Eritrean constitution, suppression of the private sector and monopoly of the entire economy…; Isaias’s betrayal of his own ministers and generals who admitted failure and demanded democratic change; wastage of the Eritrean independence that was achieved with huge sacrifices; the collective dehumanisation of the Eritrean society, especially the youth; the total isolation of Eritrea in the entire region and internationally… are obviously buried deliberately. The list of denials is endless.

If Eri-TV shows some sign to accept the offer we already made, we have handy questions in store, and will deliver them soon with further discount.

Please be generous to add some more questions; poor PFDJ and co, they are out of touch and in total denial of the Eritrean reality.

    I am not really a politician but one thing i like about the president is that he NEVER KNEE DOWN or KISS anybody ass but some of the opposition are KISSING AGAME’s ass and that’s nasty. Eway wrdet that’s the last thing i want to see in my life but i respect those who oppose the government and also oppose the Agame government for occupying our land .

    – Mexico us a country , people are more afraid of the police than the thugs.
    – The US govt. is afraid of its´own people,
    – The Ethiopian govt. while not 100% an angel ,is gennuinely trying to alivate its, people from poverty.
    – THE ERITREAN GOVT. TREATS ,US ,THE PEOPLE LIKE RETARDED SMALL CHILDREN.
    From my experience in diaspora ,I do not blame “our” govt. for treating us, as such. I feel sad for the young people that have idiots as role models. Off course ,I am an exception.

    1. Good questions. well done.
    I have questions to the opposition in Hawasa, Ethiopia. Some of these questions were already asked here before by others. They are not all mine.
    1. what happened to the so called “draft constitution” prepared by Kidan? It was reported by the opposition that it was rejected by 90% of its own members but why is Kidan/ ganta Hawasa trying to sneak it in, instead of throwing it?
    2. The Ethiopia based opposition radio broadcasts in Tigrina, Arabic, Kunama. But the Kidan or Ganta Hawasa has rejected broadcasting in Tigre language. Tigre is spoken by 35% of Eritrea. The people in the leadership of Kidan/Ganta Hawasa have never been in Eritrea since 1980. They are foreign in spirit, ideology and culture to Eritrea. Some of these people do not know who they are; some of them think they are more Arab than the Arab.
    Case in point is when Salih Gadi who is ethnic Tigraian Jeberti, originaly his parents are from Tembien, claims that his language is Arabic.

    • eritrawit December 11, 2011

    2.
    2.
    3. Why was Daniel Tewelde and many young Eritreans from Sudan, Europe and North America not allowed to participate in Hawasa? Why was Daniel removed from the Hawasa meeting only few days before the opening day? Daniel was elected by the people, only the people can remove him?
    The members of the Commission such as Amha Domeniko, Khelifa, Abdulkhadir … acted like a hungry hyenas. They showed how greedy, selfish and undemocratic they are.
    Look how ayte Daniel Tewelde was treated:
    http://www.meskerem.net/Commissioners_%20Re%20Daniel.pdf

    4. While we are talking about events in Ethiopia, there is this question that repeats quite often. Ethiopia has so many ethnic groups, there is a lot of respect to all its languages and ethnic groups since 1991. Ethiopian students study in their own ethnic languages very proudly and broadcast their languages in radio and some on TV. They will soon open four more TV channels. They need it because they are 90 million people. Eritrea is very lucky to have one for 4 million people.

    What is the language of the Amhara Jeberti and the Tigrayan Jeberti in Ethiopia? How can Salih Gadi try to force Arabic to Eritrea? Why is he ashamed of his own language? Should the kunama, Afar or Tigre languages deserve respect in their own homeland, the way Arabic is respected in its homeland in Saudi Arabia?

    • concerned Eeritreawi December 12, 2011

      I am not sure why he was not able to participate, and not everyone participate in any meeting. No further on why he did not participate.
      One of the point that really stand out is that he was able to protest. Think about it, he is in other country and country is Ethiopia and he was protesting. That by itself is a lesson for many people. We have to remember he is not in the west, and yet was able to protest.

      I give the Security an A for that and also the country and of course the participant for allowing him to protest. Imagine someone protesting against any of the foreign participant (such as the Somalis, Ethiopian etc) in Asmara palace. I am 100% that person will not be in any photo instead would go to hiding place for good.

    By now the Eritrean people transgressed the futile discussion about mother languages. They have highlighted their national languages in the congress in Hawassa. No need to go back and deliberate about it again and again without full stop. They have a lot of duties ahead and the pressing one is saving our youth from human organ traffickers by washing away the riffraff from Asmara.

    My question to the sadist is: How far your “Nihnan Alamanan” succeeded?

      Hamid, do not mind him, he had been posting with different names sometimes
      advocating highlanders, other times brings religious issues and now to defend TIGRE
      ethnic group. This old ADHARHARI teachings is over, we are more alerted not to be
      foolish to get trapped in their evil agendas. No more division, we will unite, strong
      and one people as a nation. INSHA-ALLAH.
      The promise of our MARTYRS will be fullfilled soon.
