Mr Naizghi Kiflu one of the high ranking officials of the PFDJ regime; a close friend and right hand man of Isaias Afewerki, the tyrannical leader in Eritrea, passed away in London, due to chronic illness, according to sources.
After Eritrea’s independence, Mr Naizghi served as a top official in the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Adviser of the President for Local Government as well as Minister of Information, during the total closure of the independent newspapers in Eritrea and the arrest of the their editors and journalists, in 2001.
During the armed struggle for Eritrea’s independence he was one of the key figures of ‘HALEWA SEWRA, a department responsible for the secret prison services in Sahil, where many volunteer fighters were tortured and killed. Even after independence of Eritrea, many blame him for carrying on his involvement in crimes against political opponents of Isaias Afewerki.
Mr Naizghi Kiflu has been residing in London, after his ambassadorial appointment was declined by the British government, and later was investigated by the British police for suspicion of crimes against humanity.

I was surprised to see people writing irresponsible and inhuman comments including the Assenna itself. We have a culture that Even the US didnt breake Islamic tradition after it killed its worst enemy Bin laden.

In future times, In order to avoid repetition, a huge volume will be written on the inhuman atrocities committed by this cruel man. This will not only shame his off-springs, siblings, relatives but the Eritrean people as a whole. And you HGDF you are here to defend the indefensible. You say ‘I was surprised to see people writing irresponsible and inhuman comments..) but, you do not express how horrified you should be to have heard what cruelty and sadism was exercised by this man towards his fellow countrymen who were against oppression and lies. Are you at least surprised by his role, if not horrified and offended?? Any sane person would be in the front line to express his utter condemnation. I know it is a terrible thing to even think it, but I am tempted to be with those who say may he rot in hell for eternity!
HGDF February 8, 2012
As far as I know Nayzghi is a hero. You can put 1000s of blames on him. Some of you because you want to hide your crimes by blaming him. What Fruit did Elsa Chrum get from writing baseless volumes of accusations against him? He was living in England and if he were afraid of being convicted guilty, he would prefer dying in Eritrea. A thief cannot accuse a policeman for doing his job.
abbe February 8, 2012
You HGDF and people like you are a big “shame” to be called Eritreans. Your fathers and grand fathers submitted Eritrea to Ethiopia unconditionally, then became “commandos’ killed and burned Eritrean villages and people. Now, unashemedly are supporting a ruthless dictator like “wedi medhin berrad” and the gangs who are causing death and destruction to Eritrea. The dead caracass naizghi was a criminal and I am soory that he was tried and imprisoned for all the crimes he committed. There is no mercy for such people like Naizghi and his alike. I hope he will burn in hell fire forever (R.I.Hell). i wonder how are going to live with such people like you…submissive, justice blind and opportunist people. God bless the Eritrean people…death, destruction and hell to weddi barrad and all his supporters.
Wadbahar February 8, 2012
Everything is well said and I agree with you, Abbe. But the phrase “wedi medhin berrad” does not fit into your matured and legitimate views. I understand your frustration, but let us express that without crossing the boundary. His mom did not give him instructions to destroy the country. She is or was (if she is dead) an innocent woman who should be respected like any other Eritrean mother. If I am wrong, I am ready to be corrected

Abbe Coward
Who’s grafathers saved Eritrea and who’s deliverd it might not be something you could give a responsibiliety to some one here. No matter who they are the sold it and the cowards like you just watched it being sold. Commandos who they belong to? The were raping and killing and cowards like you were just watching. Then there came the Wedogebas and the Ras Gezs. The were doing the same thing. cowards like you were just watching and some of them fled to sudan with their leaders and were living a good life by selling the guns of martyer. If it were not for Naizghi and corageous colleags, you couldnt have the chance to speack about Andnet, commandos or Ras gez. Now you blame the heros because they stopped you from dividing people the same way you are doing now, You know Naizghi is gone but mission is accomplished. The rest is ours to not let you divide our people. We will never rest until we see no sign of people like you.

Your make up, whoever you are, is really Topsy Turvy. On the one hand, your sensibilities are delicate and you are affected and surprised by those who write ‘inhuman’ comments about this cruel man who you consider a hero! On the other hand, you are totally deaf and blind of the atrocities he is believed to have committed in worship of one man who did not even bother to receive him during his last trip to Eritrea. Again, your sensibilities are affected by the legal action Elsa Chrum, a shining light in our contemporary dark history, took against this criminal, submissive man who had no backbone and no dignity. You most certainly seem a real screwed up individual who cannot tell the difference between good and bad. I just hope you are just a wedini and not a family man. Your denial to see things as they are is monumental. Seek help!

NO RIP for Naizgi
If you judge people, you have no time to love them.― Mother Tereza
The man didn’t take time love the “Yemin” the “Menkaa” but he judged them. Personally I Happen to know the mean spirited man who is dead now with his blood in his hands. There is no reason to worry about the fillings of his family. They know his business and operations. If they didn’t know they need to know who he was. Even D. Isayas will not say RIP to him.
Again, It is very inappropriate to say RIP to Naizgi. I have seen few posting “Rest In Peace” messages on few sites ever since the news of his demise was announced. But most Eritreans feel it is inappropriate to think a man with his kind of spirit will really rest even in heaven. Same applies to Isyas.

(5) Exculpating Jebha
1 For many in the opposition of the Jebha mold, the crisis in Shaebia is all they needed to make a full time job out of rehabilitating Jebha and some of its dubious heroes. But this sounds more hypocritical than the Highdefites’ task of defending Shaebia because, while the Jebha defenders do want us to remember all the atrocities committed by Shaebia, they do not want us to remember even a single event that seems to mar the image of Jebha. All this despite the fact that this organization, throughout its history, has inhabited the worst of two worlds: although it emulated Shaebia in almost all its failings, it lacked the focus the latter displayed in fighting the enemy.
But if there is anything that defines Jebha aptly, it is its sectarianism. This is an organization that was born out of sectarian motives, with ethnic and religious overtones; lived throughout its existence in sectarian squabbles (religious, regional, ethnic, linguistic and ideological); and understandably died as a result of its sectarian malaise. Its only half-hearted effort to reform itself in the 70’s soon floundered because it was never able to distance itself from its sectarian past, all along having been unwilling to let go the sectarian leaders of its past. No wonder that in its ashes, the Jebha factions that have survived it have now neatly aligned themselves along the very fault lines that doomed it to self-destruction.
Fanko February 8, 2012
2. Only now, having come out of their respective closet, they openly wear their religious and ethnic hats all the way to their EDA meetings.
The contradictions that Jebha supporters display could be seen everywhere: They have been diligently digging up all the skeletons they can find in Shaebia’s past (as it should be). But if you point to similar cases in Jebha – Falul, Suriyet Addis, Menfere, Rasai, and all other pre- and post-Adboha massacres. – they throw tantrums. They love to criticize Isaias for every blunder that he makes and for every crime that he commits (again, as it should be). But not only do they not want to hear any negative attribution about their leaders, however inept, undemocratic, sectarian or murderous they were, they also are in the active business of giving them a post-mortem “make over.” They never tire of reminding us of the marginalization of Kunamas under Shaebia (again, as it should be). But if you tell them that in this marginalization, which has a long history behind it, Jebha played a major role, with many of their villages burned down to the ground, many Kunamas killed and their cattle pillaged, they go nuts in anger. Day and night, they never tire of pointing out the inhumane treatment of prisoners under the hands of Shaebia/PFDJ (again, as it should be). But it is in one of the most shameful history of ghedli in Eritrea that Jebha summarily executed its Ethiopian prisoners at a time of its retreat in the late seventies.
Fanko February 8, 2012
I could go on and on: the horrors of giffa (which actually started with Jebha), sexual abuse of women (especially by corrupt cadres and military leaders), endemic corruption of the leadership, etc – all areas that Jebha had excelled well before Shaebia came to be fully identified with them.

You will hear the same more and more from current Fanco, the late combo, the later barentu and other previous different names. One of those non-trustworthy individuals on this forum. Always
winning claiming the ugly past which we have nothing to do with it, but the goal is to divert our discussions on political reform. Concerning Tegadelti
they are our heroes nationalists who pay dearly to
our freedom. Our problem is with those corrupt
leaders, so becareful to portray those fighters as BANDITS. It is irresponsible and offensive comments
to some readers because most of us lost a number of
family members and friends.

Your posts convey the paranoia (loud and clear) you nurture of a comeback of politicized organized groups as opposition!! In passing you add, ‘They love to criticize Isaias for every blunder that he makes and for every crime that he commits (again, as it should be).’ but your emphasis is that enemy number one of Eritrea is ‘the criminals of Hawassa’ and not Isayas Afewerki. It could be Monkey himself writing these posts, it is so maliciously misleading. Fanko: get this – we have the LIES of Isayas and Hgdef to thank for awakening our faculties to read between the lines on posts like yours. Enemy number one of Eritrea is not Woyane (Mr. T.), Arabs (Cambo), Hawassa criminals (Fanko) but ISAYAS AFEWERKI ABRAHA, YEMANE GEBREAB MONKEY, HAGOS KISHA and cohorts period.
