It is the Chamber an eyesore that on behalf of the Eritrean government here is harassed and spied in the Netherlands. In this way they put forth the totalitarian regime in the Netherlands, while many just fled. VVD Azmani want people who are loyal to fish it out faster to the government and lose their asylum status.

Eritreans should be required according to the VVD to report blackmail. Who does not withstand the pressure, but money transfer to Eritrea and shows himself as loyal to the regime there should be according to Azmani or lose her asylum status. The liberal would at least prohibit money people on welfare transfer to foreign powers.

THE HAGUE – Minister Bert Koenders (Foreign Affairs) will talk soon with the chargé d’affaires of Eritrea in our country. He’s going to tell him of the care which is on the Dutch side of the tax that the Eritrean representation imposes here to her compatriots.

He promised Thursday to the House. The 2 percent tax would be levied under duress and intimidation. To what extent that happens, will minister Lodewijk Asscher (Social Affairs) trying to find out.

In the House vote to close around the consulate, but still nothing Koenders feels that research. He also finds it important to have diplomatic contacts in order to keep a finger on the pulse.

The Chamber is also great surprise about the millions that the European Union has allocated Eritrea, while the country is guilty according to the United Nations to crimes against humanity. Netherlands was there not, said Koenders, but he wants you to arrange for this money really benefit the citizens of the country, and not to the government.

 

Eritrea in the UN:
