INTERNATIONALLY RECOGNIZED ERITREAN ARTIST MICHAEL ADONAI HAS BEEN CHOSEN AS THE RECIPIENT OF THE AFRICAN-AUSTRALIAN EXCELLENCE OF THE YEAR AWARD.
The award is aimed to honour, recognize and celebrate the contributions of Africans to all spheres of the Australian society. It’s also to establish honorarium and present Awards to distinguished, highly influential and outstanding African Australians.
The competitive nomination/application process focuses solely on evidence and merit of past outstanding achievement and advancement. It is an open panel review conducted by nationally recognized professionals in each discipline ensuring that only the most exceptional individuals such as Artist Michael Adonai receive the CAAI award.
Michael, a former Eritrean refugee, who has only lived in Australia for nearly two years, has had four successful exhibitions since 2012.
Among his most famous works is his solo exhibition entitled “I did not choose to be a refugee”. His original, creative painting style and the force of his humanistic ideas has wowed both his critics and viewers.
In addition, Michael generously shares his vast, unique knowledge of the ancient Coptic Art painting style with fellow Australians by giving lectures, seminars and Master Classes.
The CAAI organizers believe that “artists like Michael Adonai provide the creative foundation for the cultural vitality of the greater Multicultural Australian society”.
In the past, Artist Adonai has won several awards and prizes including the “Raimok award” one of the highest national prizes given to an artist. He was also nominated by an international art’s jury to represent Eritrea in the United Nations sponsored Global Art Exhibition, 2001. In addition, he was the participant of the 3rd International Arts Camp – ANDORRA.
Michael was selected to be featured in Dictionary of African Biography, 2012. [DAB is “a major biographical dictionary covering the lives and legacies of notable African men and women from all walks of life.” (Published by OXFORD press in, 2012).

Truly Truly i say to you November 13, 2014
Bielo. you are an angry PFDJ agent not opposition. You are anger for Michael has left the bandit regime it is. Why you are jealous for his personal success? You are simply jealous! ሃሳድ! ቡዳ! ጠቢብ! This is why you are defaming the person. Michael is not a politician but an artist. Alone for he left the regime you have top appreciate, because this by it self is a prof as he has normal sense. Normaly you have to be proud when you see your country man success. But i do not think you are an Eritrean. I wish Michel to be worldwide known artist like Picaso. It is not must we have to lose all gifted Eritrean be footballers, cyclist, Musicians and artists. Don´t tell me the jealous Hasdad (ቡዳ) isayas not killed from all arts of profession those successful Eritreans. You may only know Isayas killed intellectuals and successful businessmen , but systematical he killed also footballers, musicians and cyclists etc…too. Even those popular athletes like Zeresenay and Daniel t/ haimanot by tomorrow if be left the regime, i no doubt wicked people like you as start defaming and mobbing at them, like you defaming Michael. But when i said this, i do not mean Michael should not to side and support the struggle for justice, but to show the danger how high it is if a person is popular i liked to indicate it is. What i mean is i do not expect a popular athlete or artist to challenge the regime like I or others do. But using their popularity and success if they can support the struggle financially more than that it is not must to put in Danger their God given talent because of dirty politic. Do you know how many gifted footballers, Pilots etc etc we simply lost? Imagin these defected youngsters each they could be milliners, like all African footballers if they had protectors, but the mad dog the only finance system what he understands is sealing his people to Bedeween human smugglers and after they immigrate collecting 2% tax is only.

Truly Truly,
First and most of all, you should concentrate on the idea and fact. Are you saying that bielo is wrong? I hope not, but if your answer is yes, I just say you know nothing.
However, everyone knows who is Michael Adonai – he is the one with blood at his hands. Now, no matter bielo is a supporter of HGDEF or not, like Ali Abdu, Michael Adonai is also a criminal.
The other important thing is that, what kind of Certificate is gained by Michael Adonai. We know that,Certificate in Western Countries is nothing. Even if you get a three day course You can get Certificate. Whether you like it or not Michael Asonai was a perfect practical artist. But now he is hiding inside the womb of Kangaroo of Australia.
