Was he teaching Mathematics? I just want to know if he is the same person who was teaching math in Asmara University early 80s?

RIP and condolences to the family. I don’t know this person but I feel sorry for his family as a fellow Eritrean. The problem I have though is that why do more and more of our people decide to bury their relatives in the diaspora. I know the Niezghi case and other such likes. But for majority, it should be possible to send the body to Eritrea. Why don’t the local Eritreans everywhere take this as an obligation that if someone in their community dies, we are all responsible to cheap in to send the body home. It just sends sheevers down my spine when I see Eritreans buried in the diaspora.

      Dear Metesha,

First RIP Professor Yemane. I see your concern but it is not a topic that you can jump on. People make thier choices for so many reasons how thier final moments should be and burials. You are talking about people who make decisons for them and the families they leave behind.
I advise you and your likes not to comment on family choices with a…. please. Thank you.

    Dear Yirgalem & Gherie!

I hope this finds you well and you are holding up after the untimely death of professor Yemane. This is a big loss to his family and the Eritrean community. We have not met professor Yemane but from everything we heard from you and others who know him, he was a wonderful brother and who loved his family and people around very much.

We know life is going to be hard for the whole family, to imagine life without him, but we pray that your faith and inner strength will help you go through this difficult time. Hopefully, celebrating his many acts of kindness and love will help you cope during these dificult days.

Yemane lived a good life, although it was far too short, and he will be long remembered by everyone who knew him, especially his kids and siblings.

Please know that our thoughts and prayers are always with you. We will see you as soon as you get back to Canada.

    In Friendship,

    Rahwa and Tewolde

R.I.P Yeman and condolences to his family and friends. I was heart broken when heared Prof. Yeane’s passing away. I know Yeman through his younger brother Samson. I remember the gentle spirit and nature of Yeman and will always remember him as an exceptionally special giving person. I remember about a year ago that Prof. Yeman called for all people in the diaspora to be voice to the voiceless Eritreans who are suffering in the Sinai desert. It was a wonderful act of kindness which I will never forget. I’m sure there is a great void to be filled by his passing but his I kindness we share for each will honer his memeory with love and the wonderfulmemories we share with him.
May his soul rest in peace and may God comfort his family. and friends.
    Samson

MAY HIS SOUL REST IN PEACE
I just find out that he is the one who organized the demonostration in front Egyytian Embassy in NEW YORK
last year to voice and highlight about SINNAI events of ERitreans issues . At the same time after independence who was active on soliciting books to deliver for ASMERA university . He was a college professor .
