We as a society have been witnessing unpredictable and immeasurable horrendous atrocities being committed against our citizens by the very people that we call “OURS” and we don’t seem to care even one bit. Although, horrible atrocities of untold proportion were committed against their own so called tegadelttis (not to mention the wounded warriors they massacred in Mai Habar in 1994)and even citizens during the dark gedlli era, we let them get away with the crimes because we believed the victory or so called “INDEPENDENCE” outweighed it. Fair enough.
What about the never ending slavery of our youth, systematic rape of our girls, mass incarceration, extrajudicial killings, abductions, disappearances and most shockingly the systematic denial of education to our youth which were condemned to squander their productive years in hauling rocks? As a normal society, we should have been offended, fiercely angry and demanded change. We didn’t and 24 painful years have come and gone. We have seen how normal societies hold their governments to the highest standard even as little as not picking up garbage on time as in Lebanon. If we don’t react fiercely in the face of all the atrocities of untold proportion being committed against our people, I am afraid we are not a normal society that deserve like one.

Andom, you are the one who is dead talking. You will never compare or achieve anything in your remainder hateful life with the great man Meles. “Muwut ayikises wey ayitsilae”, you should never accuse or hate a dead person. Sadly, it seems hate is destroying and blinding you for life.
