Nineteen officers and members of the Eritrean Naval Force have defected to Djibouti in the past few weeks.

According to our sources, head of squadron Lieutenant Biniam Gebreselasie; Department Head of the Electricity Department of the Halieb Boat Factory Habtom Ghebrekidan; and Head of the Technical Department of Marine Resources in Edi, Tiio and Gela’lo Awet Berhane, deserted the PFDJ regime and sought political asylum in Djibouti.

Another group comprising 16 members of the Eritrean Navy have also defected to the same country according to the sources.

In the recent years, the Eritrean Naval Force has been seriously weakened by the continuous defections of its officers to Yemen and Saudi Arabia. Mismanagement and tyrannical system of the PFDJ regime is the main cause of the mass defection.

take the vessel and lead it, its mission towards Asmara and liberate your people instead fleeing to djibouti!!!! I think the leaders you run from are so weak and so isolated and destitute to find exit and leave us in peace. Be couaragous enough and pave the path for the thousands….

Exile is not a solution. We have to resist PFDJ.We have to fight them by any means possible. This way we can save our people.

Running away from the evil, lunatic dictator and his network of terror PFDJ’s system.

When ordinary/young Eritreans runway from the two evils, I support it. They have to save their lives. Although I absolutely don’t support them, if they turned around and support the Dictator. That isn’t forgivable. However, at this time for people in the position of power, small or big running away is not the responsible action to do. I have been hearing from many good people who cont to say “Change for Eritrea, has to come from within” “We the diaspora Eritreans, only can function as a support system” Well, can any one tell me how in the world is possible changes from within, when the very people who are capable of influencing, organizing and driving change within Eritrea are running away? What about the certain oppositions group who in the past stated, “we have people/connection within Eritrea” Where is it? Or are they talking about the hidden PFDJ’s connection? I don’t know? I am just asking.

Who is working for change within Eritrea? Is this just a hoax to prevent Eritreans in diaspora from working for change?

Isaias’long term aim is to destroy Eritrea. The failure of our army and navy is that, they scare to death and escaping from Eritrea to another country to be political refugees it is a shame. They had the gun but they didn’t use it.

Our expectation from the current defence force is very low, after wedi Ali an Eritrean hero is not born yet.

Wedi men kmewit Wedi menke n’Europe ksegr? Lewti zdeleye go to Tigray and get arms and start fighting Shabia.
If you are not willing to do that then shat up. Only because you have internet or access to free wifi it does not make you a keyboard fighter. Being opposition in diaspora has been and is a pass timed for many.

Well said Abe, I couldn’t agree more brother/sister. Please keep reminding this to that fake PFDJ graduate genet the opportunist jungle politician. As you rightly put it “put up or SHUT UP”. Fool us once … fool us twice … BUT try or think to fool us all the time then definitely shame on you opportunists.
