Astounding accomplishment! brilliant! Can you imagine how many of these young men the nation could have produced since it’s inception, if the leadership was not squandered by a handful of morons. This one is for you, those who perished in the desert of Sinai, the vastness of the Mediterranean sea, and living in squalor across the globe. This is what you call rising from the ashes. Better days are ahead for our homeland.

    well said,
Here is one of the rare good news from Eritrea.
    Congrats Girmai, kemey Girmaka yibzaH!
This is a very rare good to come from the land of horrors and dungeons, misery and hopelessness, death and refugee migration.

you will see step by step

Congrats to Eritrea and our Ethiopian brothers and our Ugandan cousins. This is a great competition we need to see often and hopefully in Rio, Brazil next year.

At last ! A very positive news about Eritrea !
A great pause from the series of the bad ones,
Amazing to see Eritrea arising athletically while still going downhill politically.
With a bit more professional trainings, we will have this name ‘Ghebresellasie’ for many more years to come. May be no more under ‘Haile of Ethiopia’ but certainly under ‘Ghirmay of Eritrea’. The Marathon Gold Medal is anyway a firm asset of East Africa.
Thank you Ghirmay for making our day !

We can not expect from negative people positive respone and idea. If you are Ethiopian proud on your nationality. To tell you Josy we proud on our hero and by our nationality.

At last some positive news from Eritrea. This may the beginning of bigger positive news to come to a country which has suffered a lot under the brutal dictatorship. Thank you Ghirmai for changing the course of the news from a negative to a positive one.

Nineteen years old Eritrean to win marathon championship outside the country is wonderful news. Promising future awaits ahead of him if he received all accommodations & support to continue the competition for many years to come .
I wish we see many more winnings like this beautiful
sight representing Eritrea with its flag in front the
    world .
Thanks Ghirmay for your part to give our people some encouragement not to give up hope .

Great to see Eritrea ahead of Ethiopia in number 1 of international world sport.
Next target should be for Eritrea to be ahead of Ethiopia in international politics and diplomacy.

The brave young man Ghirmay should be congratulated and encouraged over and over again as he deserved it.
Brother Ghirmay should also be reminded to keep his feet firmly on the ground and not to get complacent at all.

At this point it is needless or is obvious to state that Amanuel is the best in tigrigna poetry.

It’s important that we, Eritreans, make sure that this summer of 2015 is marked on sports history books for Eritrea.

I don’t believe there is anyone but Amanuel who is capable of capturing this summer in poetry!

Aman, please please …… compose some thing reminest of your Tigrinya poet extraordina to honor our athletic heros— Daniel, Merhawi, Natu and Ghirmai!
I assure you this is will for history books.

    Mine try…..
    Dannie guzi Nestor hawu….be Semien….
    Natu meste bemerb …..
    Ghirmai meste be Mebrak
    Keselemu eritrea Xaeda
    Etc ….etc…..etc….

    Not good at all…….

Now you know I need help 🙂

Please make the history and record on voice for all to enjoy, PLEASE!!!
