I comside the man to be so foolish because he tried to be innocent by claiming that he is Christian. He must have known that being a Christian, a Moslem, a Jew, a Hindu, A biddhist etc does not make you innocent or criminal for that matter. We should also know that all religions teach us to be righteous, so this man who I suspect to be a PFDJ agent or a lay man who does not know the law is a little bit foolish. We msust respect the law!!!
If the man had known the law, he would not have fallen in to the pit. It is not not wise to criticise the man labelling him as an agent of the PFDJ. But what we are sure is that the person does not oppose the government. Maybe the money could be given to him by different Eritreans to be given for their families in Eritrea at a higher exchange rate. Or he could have unfinished project, eg construction of a house, after which he would have the possibility of maybe joining the call for regime change in Eritrea. As far as we do not have evidences that the money was being channelled to the coffers of the PFDJ thugs, it is not fair to accuse him. If he did it out of innonce, it will should a lesson for many of those who plan to go to Eritrea.
First of all there is no one that can take such kind of money at once to enter to Eritrea and change it with a very law exchange rate.
second He tried to lie to the officers by giving the wrong information( like i have 10,000 then to 15,000 later again he says he withdraw it from the bank and the officers they didn’t get any sign , that confirms he withdrow it from bank, no bank can give you on the post, it should be bainded.)
third He said he is a christian and he can’t lie and stole money even though he show that he was liying. and we have alots of experience liers and thiefs they use God to mislead you. to do their evel duties.
The UK officers has the right to check movement of money more that 10,000 should be taxed and also many people send alots of money to help terrorists and dictators. this is a general europian and us law.
So by all the above justifications i find him correct to be seized his money till the court gave him back his money.

first of I would like to thank assena journalists for providing this valuable video. I have couple of questions.
why not the man provide enough evidence that the money belongs to him and
is today possible for an Eritrean to invest in Eritrea with such amount of money?
is he profitable for him to work with PFDJ carrying such amout of money?
finally I request any Eritrean in G.Britain to follow the case and help the custom office that the money might belong to dictator Issayas drawn by 2% taxes in the G.Britain? Becuase Issayas and his followers can use any trash means to collect money from the diaspora for arming any group in the East Africa.
Hello Gus as we know all PFDJ followers are ignorant ,because he living In UK for long time and he He is a citizen of UK and couldn’t speak English .that mean he couldn’t challenge them in any legal way, as well he said he is Taxi driver. But the main thing as he said he is Christian If he is Christian haw he can travel to Eritrea since Eritrean government jailed and killed, Christians. The probably is he is member of PFDJ and he collect the 2% of illegal Tax mean against the low of UK and other countries who trying to control Terrorism. I sagest take Him to the court UK is not Like Eritrea unjust country. And if you found him that is illegal put him in Jail like his master what he did to the innocent Eritrean people. Death to PFDJ Merry X mass
Typical PFDJ operation. In its entire existence, the PFDJ led government has never done any deed that resembles of a government. It has been and always be criminal in its nature, mentality and behavior. We expect nothing better from it.
A detailed background of this man should be given to British security. This is for sure the regime money. The supporters of the regime who live in the developed world should understand a lot of things have changed since the Meda era. They have to think maturely and stand by the side of their people. They should understand the regime is a dangerous mafia that makes business with the organs of our youth.
