Dear Redie Mehari,
I have learned that you are going to Frankfurt Germany. You accepted an invitation from the so called independent women’s organization for peace and democracy for an event in the name of International Women’s Day to be held in Frankfurt on 24 March, 2012. These women are as independent as the National Union of Eritrean Women (ሃማደአ). To be clear, the so called independent women’s organization peace and democracy are from A-Z Eritrean National Salvation Front (ሃገራዊ ድሕነት), and has nothing to do with women’s issues. Rightly so, their number can be counted with your fingers. Even their chairwoman abandoned them after she understood that she has been used for reckless political ends.
You speak about Isaias and the National Union of Eritrean Women, but you are allowing yourself to be a victim of the same category on the other side. They are inviting you because they cannot find anyone in their vicinity to believe them. The same can be said about the council members (hoodwinkers). As our wise ancestors say, this is a case of ርሑቕ ዓዲ መሕሰዊ. I believe this will have a negative consequence on your character and image. No one will take you seriously and your book will be taken as a tabloid and that would be really sad for many of us who look up to you.
No Eritrean in its right mind and for democratic change should participate in this event of narrow interests.
