The Second Republic
For quite long time, I have been possessed by what will unfold in Eritrea’s political sphere sometime in the future. I have been analysing and contemplating what the future holds for the country. What is left is to put my contemplation in writing and throw it to the public. I hope that such exercise will bring to me a great respite from the worries I have been having as a concerned citizen. In a series of articles under the title of ‘The Second Republic’, I will thus attempt to raise different scenarios of how the immediate future will unfold and leave to the public to ponder on the scenarios and eventually prepare for the future. This is not an effort of tipping others to make the right positioning to grab power in the second republic but to alert the public to the worst that could come.
