interesting and impressive speech. He knew issaias early but we do not help him.

  • yohannes October 8, 2015

I did not know much the story of Bitweded Abrha. Listening to his speech I was very impressed. He is by far the most Heroic figure in Eritrea. Don get me wrong we had many heros. But Bitweded Abraha foresaw the and expressed his opinion before anybody and showed wisdom, courage and integrity in the face of adversity. We all has to make sure that he will not be forgotten and his name shines in the history of Eritrea. Only if we can show a courge, at least a pint of that of Bitweded Abrha. Praise be to him, he is a wise man of Peace.

He is true an Eritrean Hero!

  • Fithi October 8, 2015

    Oh Beteweded my dear,
You are the best articulate Shaebia member I have ever seen. Although, you like the others played an important role in shaping and making the monster for what he is today, you must have stood on the brutal dictator’s side out of innocence and unshakable conviction of seeing a free Eritrea. Once Eritrea is free you have shown us the people how to stand up to dictatorship and tyranny but we didn’t listen and here we are paying a big price.
    Beteweded my dear,
I wish those that call themselves G15 stood up for you and died an honorable death but they chose not to either out of fear or greed. Either way they die 10 times when the fact is death is only once. As to the us the people we are known to be traitors “telamat” and we betrayed you and others again and again but you always are and will be indeed tegadalay and have an honorable spot in our history.

    • AHMED SALEH !!!. October 8, 2015

Have feelings toward injustices committed against G15 or anyone else . They are also patriots thrown to rot in darkness . Their own failed them to portray like sold
out traitors and you seem to have the same judgment.

Biteweded is a real hero. However, the silence of many around him, and I am sorry the people as well (in the marx / Mao red books it is unacceptable to criticize people), but I have to say it…the deafening silence of our people, no matter what, is so unbelievable. Isaias does whatever he wants, and no one says in real terms/kind? It is just unbelievable.! how come one a singly army officer, out of the 300,000 lack a bullet to the dictators head ? provided, there is no one person left unaffected by the stupid policies and actions of this brutal dictator ??

    • Fithi October 9, 2015

      Dear Yiaki,
Its a one million dollar question but the short answer is we Eritreans are not brave enough to do the honorable thing and die an honorable death. Cowardice and fear are the worst enemies of mankind and once they are in charge, they make you die 10x. Its the same fear that take over the whole poor and pathetic nation and its people today when the fact is that there is NEVER to be afraid of.

      Dear AHMED SALEH!!!
My brother, you know very well, how the intruders at Assenna can try to disrupt a good discussion. This is one example. The Biteweded Abrha’s story is a testimony to the brutality against the Eritrean people by Isaias Afwerki and his few cliques. listening to his statements, I can’t imagine anyone wants to change the topic by name calling. The Biteweded Abrha’s case is very sensitive to Isaias and his cliques. They got away for so long without many people knowing about him. Now we are talking about him and his amazing statement, this can make Isaias and his cliques restless. I wouldn’t be surprise, if the name calling is coming from Isaias’s office. I think we need to keep the discussion going by ignoring them with only occasionally giving them their own medicine.
      Keep up the good work.
      God bless our people.

        Dear sister Genet
I have problem with particpants silence when they see wrongs . I hope you
didn’t read his deleted comment full of nasty words in respond to Selemawit .
Depending on writings and language used , it looks from the same sick person
who appear with different pen names . Anyway , I agree not to give him any
attention since we realized his wicked intentions .
I admire your firm and principled stand . Thank you for the advice .

        • Genet-orginal October 9, 2015

          Dear AHAMED SALEH
Brother, I am in no position to give you advice. I think, you are one of the wisest Eritrean at Assenna and I appreciate your input on any of our issue. Please keep up the good work.
I didn’t see the comment in respond to Selemawit, but I am glad Assenna discarded it. You and I have been the most attacked by far with nasty language by a single degenerated thing with multiple pen names. I think, the idea was to keep us away from Assenna and silent. But we fought back and showed the thing we are here to stay.
          God bless our people!
          We shall overcome!

          • AHMED SALEH !!!. October 9, 2015

We prefer to follow good example like Gen. Bitweded
message for love commitment to protect another person’s
heart with the same passion we use to guard our own family members . Their spirit sounds more gratifying
to win the hearts of ordinary people .
Glad to have you around my dear sister .

    • Kilkulll October 10, 2015

      Ahmed Salih
I have been reading the previous 3 or 2 days the responses for ur comment by so called Wediforto. And I was wondered why Assenna did not delete his comment at a time. When I see such stupid comment I feel angry at Assenna for allowing to stay their commnet.
Coming to Gen.Bitweded … Over all Eritrean people where closing his/her eyes as if sleeping. Now when all of us over oven we start that and this even some of us still asleep (YPFDJ)
Now I will say I don’t have hope on opponents parties as they are them selves hungry at power.
Let God wash our problems and eradicate HGDEF & YHGDEF and so God help us to lead our country democractically.

AMAZING. he knew what was awaiting for us. This son of Eritrea, the ture son,he knew the darkness that was dissending on his people. He knew the evils of Isayas long before anyone did. Through his words, he tried to warn us. We were drunk, busy, recovering from the hangover of Nazenet. A true Eritrean who gave every thing he had happily to build a nation of SWUAT that preserves JUSTICE,EQUALITY AND FREEDOME FOR ALL. He is the king of JUSTICE,crowned by his people.
    thank you

    • Genet-orginal October 9, 2015

      Dear mm
I agree with your comment 100%. General Bitweded Abrha is a true hero who spoke the truth. His statement tells me that we do have people like him and we have to support each others. He could have gone and be Isias’s yes man like the others, but he chose to speak up the truth and the purpose of his contribution to the Eritrean independence. One of his greatest legacy is that he is a selfless man who is sacrificing his life for our people. His statement speaks to the majority of Eritreans and this should give us hope.
      God bless Eritrea.
God bless General Bitweded Abrha the true Eritrean Son.

” we lost thousands young teenagers in our struggle for freedom which makes
you feel uncomfortable to see them left behind dead . And it took us fifty years
to win the war and it may took us another fifty years to win on next phase of
struggle for social justice . That was the theory we beleived on our struggle and
I will continue to fight for unity , peace , tolerance and fairness . My people’s
compassion and support has great deal of honor comparing praises I get from
the president or generals ” .
General Bitweded speech seems explain to ourselves which draws us nearer our
fellows . Good people deep heart answers to deep heart in another .
Brother Bitweded , eventhough we have a common nature but you tried to appear
weak which is not true and others try to appear strong which is also not true . In
fact if we were adamant not to follow great men like you and listen carefully on
issues that concern most for our own good .
GOD BLESS YOU and I hope you will make it again to freedom , God willing .

        Dear G-O and Ahmed
This brave man like his brothers Swue Abraham Tekle,Swue Melake Tekle,Swue Muse,Swue Selomon Woldemaiam Sweetie Alem Mesfun, and millions of sons and daughters of Eritrea, gave his life for us. He is gutsy, fearless,a symbol of hope in the hour of darkness. He challenged the coward Isaias in his own turf. He was bold, dearing, he defited Isaias armed with nothing but the truth. I am proud he is my brother, your brother and our brother. Because of the sacrifice he has made for us,every day we are one step closer. Bitew and the millions like him who are suffering in the underground dungeons will see the sun again. The time will come, the crimes committed against ERitrea and her people will be fully exposed. Justice will be served. My only regret is will Bitew and the millions like him, will get the chance to celebrate the fruits of their struggle.
        I hope! let’s pray, Inshealah
thank you Assena for the Forum, pls preserve this
golden document, legacy for next generation
