This report sounds toooooo gooooood to be true. Assenna seems to be giving into temptation. This story may have come from HGDF sympathizer whose sole purpose may as well be to discredit assenna. Assena should independently verify reports and news articles before posting them on its website inorder to maintain its credibility as a news media.
Since the woyane implant Seyoum Tesfaye is back with his “no comments please” trade marked mambo jumbo. I have a question for him that may be of interest to others too. 24hrs since the savage orgy of all except necrophilia dished out to announce the gobbling up of yet another oil rich country by the Rothschild & Family, it is yet incredibly dubious to see the lack of outpouring display of celebrations in streets of Libya. I am not even asking for anything like the million people march in support of Qaddafi that was held few months back (and duly censored by most of the free press corporations, save few). The eeriness reminds you the typical Eritrean “opposition” dozen man marches really.
The DSM-IV (Diagnostic Statistics Manual) for mental health which is considered the Bible of Psychiatry is on a verge of categorizing Conspiracy Theory as a mental anomaly or aberration. I kid you not. I am sure, the conspiracy theorists will have a field day in the days ahead where the death of Gadafi will be printed on a larger font as the West’s cunning desire to occupy yet another oil rich country. But of course, apart from Naom Chomsky who has been penning for the last forty years or so about the West’s hegemony, cynicism augmented with conspiracy theory seems to have lost its luster where your immediate post is not an exception either.
One luxury that a free wheeler of no group affiliation of my sort enjoy is the ability to observe critically without prejudice. Unfortunately, in this day where critical thinking has become an act of criticizing regardless of veracity, I have been taken aback by the lack of audio-visual media coverage of the out pouring jubilation of Libyans that their “dictator” is gone. Seriously, it is rather eerily quite in the ‘western front’ Let’s hope against hope that this isn’t the calm before the storm!
The disclaimer on your part pretty appealing. I thought you were di’E z’bele PFDJ-ista. Of course kidding you. I wouldn’t pretend to know much about the socio-politcal make up of Libya where on the surface, Libya seems an amalgam of tribal settings where Gadafi had been credited for containing them from falling apart. That as it may however, an undeniable fact remains. That is, he was a cruel tyrant with no heart for his opponents what so ever. Regardless what is in store for the Libyans, at least they will be better off without him. I won’t bog you down in to the “A cookie cutter” or “One fits all” credo of Democracy where if the Jeffersonian democracy is cut out to work in a different cultural reality as well. But again, the Libyans will wake up to a morning where they could entertain a different set of ideas on how to run their country. As the “Absolute power corrupts absolutely” the overly exhausted dictum has it.
If my memory serves me right, few weeks ago I did ask you a question pertaining Seyoum Tesfaye’s articles where the audience is not able to comment on them. But obviously, my question seems to have landed on deaf ears. It sure behooves you to give us some response if not out of courtesy would do. Thanks again.
This does not deserve posting here. The question is that do you want demo.archive.assenna.com to be a tabloid web site or a credible news outlet? The choice is your, Mr. Editor?
Take the news item with grano salis or with a grain of salt so to speak. That much is your prerogative when Assenna is presenting to the potentially educated audience a news item or an event to reflect upon.

The interview with ato Abraham of TV Zete and ato Hamde Naka, a member of Swedish Parliament was interesting. They were very articulate and intelligent in expressing their views. However, just to add a point the first Eritrean member of parliament was ato Rezene Tesfatsion – a Swedish Parliament Member (Riksdagsman).

Seyoum Tesfaye’s decision not to allow his article readers to say or comment on it does say many things about the character and integrity of this guy. The reason: he must be the type of guy who cannot stand in “mixed crowd”. He cannot defend what comes out of his mouth. He has used the word “lipstick/s” twelve times to belittle the three Eritrean intellectuals who were asked to give their own perspectives about Eritrea by VoA. Mr. Tesfaye (with an Ethiopian last name, the Eritrean version is written as Tesfay) is a great writer but not this time. His choice of denying Eritreans to comment on his post is a testimony to his character. The guy does not seem to believe in free press. I think he only wants to have it for himself. A hyena that barks before the sun set is a hyena that should be taken seriously. Mr. Tesfaye, it is time you face the Eritrean jurors if you truly believe in the restoration of a democratic Eritrea. As to your question why these intellectuals don’t pack up and go to Eritrea if Eritrea is doing great according to them, they may as well equally ask you why you are opposing the PFDJ regime from a 10,000 mile distance in a safe haven instead of from the mountains of Sahel if you are honestly committed to change the regime. Dishonesty is really one of the reasons why Eritrea is in a mess.

Oh this is cheap shot.
Why would the regime do that? I mean what is the motivation or incentive?
It doesn’t make any sense at all!

Dear Temesgen
Sorry for the late reply. The option not to allow comments was the author’s. Thanks for your understanding.
