ብዕለት 06/19/13 መዓልቲ ሰማእታት ብድምቐት ተዘኺሩ ኣምስዩ እቲ ብደንበ ተቓውሞ ዝተዳለወ መደብ ዝኽሪ መጀመርታ ንሰማእታት ዝዝኽሩ ዝተፈላልዩ መዝሙራትን ናይ ዝኽሪ ደርፍታትን እዩ ተጀሚሩ። ቐጺሉ መንእሰያት ኣቦታት ኣደታት ሽምዓ ብምብራህ ነቲ ኸባቢ ንደቓይቅ ዘሬሞ፡ቐጺሎም ብሓባር ብምኽባብ ንደቓይቅ ናይ

ንሰማእታት ዝዝኽሩ ዝተፈላልዩ መዝሙራትን ናይ ዝኽሪ ደርፍታትን እዩ ተጀሚሩ። ቐጺሉ መንእሰያት ኣቦታት ኣደታት ሽምዓ
ብምብራህ ነቲ ኸባቢ ንደቓይቅ ዘሬሞ፡ቐጺሎም ብሓባር ብምኽባብ ንደቓይቅ ናይ ሽምዓ ዘክሪ ገይሮም ፡ብድሕሪኡ እቲ መደብ
ብምቕጻል ብመንእሰያት ዝቐረቡ ዝተፈላልዩ ንትርጉም መዓልቲ ሰማእታት ዝገልጽ ዝተፈላልዩ መልእክትታት ተመሓላሊፎም ድሒሩ
ድማ ብደንበ ተቓውሞ ላስቬጋስ ንመዓለቲ ሰማእታት ዝምልኸት መልእኽቲ ብኣቶ ኽብሮም ኪዳነ ተነቢቡ።እቲ መልእክቲ መዓልቲ
ሰማእታት መዓልቲ ጀጋኑን ኩብራትን እዩ፡ስለዚ ኽቡራት የሕዋትን ኣሓትን ነታ መሰረት ፈንጠዝያን ሓጎስን ዝኾነት 24 ጉንቦት
ኽንዝኽር እንከለና ዋላ ንካልኢት እውን ን20 ሰነን ዋናታታን ኽንርስዖም ኣይግባእን ምኽንያቱ ውጺእትን ፈረ-ጸማን ናይቶም ጀጋኑ
ስዋኣት ደቒ ህዝቢ ስለዝኾነት ኢሉ ፡መልእክቱ ብምቕጻል፤
ነዞም ጀጋኑ ደቒ ህዝቢ ክንዝክር እንከለና ንስለዝኽሪ ዘይኾነስ ንሳቶም ዘሰከሙና ረዚን ሓላፍነት ቓሎምን ዕላማኦምን ብዝግባእ
ንምትግባሮምን ንምርግጋጽን ዋላውን ኽብርቲ ህይወትና እውን እንተኾነት ከንከፍል ከምቲ ንሳቶም ኽብርቲ ሂወቶም ከፊሎም ከም
ህዝብን ሃገርን ጠጠው ክንብል ዝገበሩና ድልዋት ኽንከውን ይግባእ ፥ምኽንያቱ ሞሳ ሰማእታትና ከፊልና ኽንብል እንተኾይና ኣብ
ትግባረ መብጻዓኣም ደው ኢልና ኹሉ ካባና ዝሕተት ምስእንፍጽም ድ_’ኣንበር ዓመት መጸ ሽምዓ ብምውላዕ ኣይኾነን ኢሉ።
ቐጺሉ ናይ 2013/ 20 ሰነ ኣብ እነብዕለሉ ዘለና እዋን እቲ ሕድሪ ሰማእታት ረጊጹ ብሽም ሰማእታት እንዳመሓለ ቑጽሪ ሰሚዒታት
ኣብ ምስሳን ዝርከብ ኣብ ኾረሻ ስልጣን ተሰቒሉ ብሰማእታት ዘላግጽን ዘሽካዕልልን ዘሎ ጉጅለ ጠላማት ኻብ ዝኾነ ዕለት ንላዕሊ
ሰራም ዕላምኡን ሽርሑን ተቓሊዑ ከምዝርኸብ ብምግላጽ መልእኽቱ ኣመሓላሊፉ።
ብድሕሪኡ ኣዴታት ላስቬጋስ ዘምጸአኦ ሕንባሻን መቕሊያን ብምቑራስ እቲ ስነ-ስርዓት ብዝምስጥ መንገዲ ንስዋኣትና ብምዝካር
ተዛዚሙ በዚ ኣጋጣሚ እዚ ነቲ ዝኽሪ ዘማዕረጋኦ ኣዴታት ላስቬጋስ ኽምስገናን ካልኦት ኣዴታት እውን ክስዕባአንን ይግባእ።ደንበ
ተቓውሞ ላስቬጋስ ነቲ ዝኽሪ ዘማዕረግዎን ንሽምዓን ካልእን ናይ ገንዘብ ሓገዝ ዘውፈዩ ተቓለስቲን ምስጋንኡ ይገልጽ።

Thank you Las Vegas Youth Movement for organizing the memorial ceremony, and the participants for your time and willingness to respect to our martyrs in such a wonderful way. I also thank every Eritrean for respecting this day. This is a day of unity of all Eritreans, men or women, rich or poor, Islam or Christian, opposition or supporter, in Eritrea or in the diaspora. So as a day of unity it should not be used to score a political point, but to thank our martyrs for what they gave us, to promise to pick their torch and finish what they started. Most of what Mr. Kibrom Kidane said in his speech are appropriate, but I find it inappropriate to mention the current Eritrean leaders and their actions during that speech. I equally find it inappropriate for government officials to use this day to score political point against the opposition. There are a lot of other opportunities to convey your political beliefs, but June 20, Memorial Day, is not one of them.

This is a time to think about the price that was paid to give us a country, a flag, and the opportunity to call ourselves Eritreans. 85,000 young lives martyred. We have to live lives worthy of their sacrifices.

If our martyrs could get a chance to come out of their graves and see the current predicament of Eritrea, DIA wouldn’t stand a chance in front of them. One the them would punch or headbutt him. They would be angry and rightly so. Glory for our martyrs!!!
