Dictators fall sooner or later, sometimes facilitated by their own self-destructive inertia and often leaving chaos and destruction behind them. This is prone to occur in a society where there are no well-organized opposition groups determined to initiate and coordinate popular resistance or uprising from within the country. Eritrea needs desperately and urgently a very well-organized opposition party and NOT individuals who keep disappearing after a while to just go into hiding from their desperate people.

Let’s just remove (I don’t care if you use LP or HP filter to do the job) the emotion out of this and comment on the subject.
    1. Yes, it is good that he quit his high stress job (since he didn;t own his mind till he quit). Congrats to him (I just said to him, mind you, nothing to do with Eritrea) on that.
    2. What was the triggering point for him to dislodge?
    3. Why took this long? In a normal governance, you have to be a person with high caliber to hold that position. So, assuming this gentleman is high caliber guy, why took him so long to figure out uncle isayas is NOT that a caring guy? Is he saying that he is slow or isayas just changed his behavior. Whatever way I have tried, I couldn’t come up with a reason for this very long time this gentleman to abandon his ex-boss.
May be it just me. Could that be the reason I don’t have that many friends?

“May be it just me. Could that be the reason I don’t have that many friends?” by Simon G.

But, Simon G, you have already a formidable “FRIEND” on your side >>> THE TRUTH. IF NOT the absolute truth but the sincere desire to exercise your natural right to arrive at the truth is truly a liberating FRIEND.

What percentage of people do we have with that trait? If “Eritrea” were to have just 25% of the population to be honest and daring searchers for THE TRUTH Eritrea would NEVER have been the Eritrea that we see TODAY >>> not even a resemblance of it.

It is really a cliché to say that there are those who revert to the same old obstacle to human progress i.e. attacking THE Truth. Look at the Internet to see the bottom strata for such destructive behaviour >>> insults, polemics, vulgarism, innuendo, personal attack,…. Always afraid of the THE TRUTH! Let us not forget the age-old cliché: It is easier to demolish a building rather than to build it.

I am afraid, the “Eritrea” that we have in our hearts will remain just a dream against formidable reality of the 2ist Century Interdependent World. THE END

Thanks for the undeserved kindness, but hey, I will take it! It is becoming as rare as the rare elements these days. Speaking of truth, that should go the honorary members.
You have raised a very good point on the Truth itself. It seems that Eritrean truth is disappearing by the day. May be that’s the “root cause” of our problem (unity is just an outcome). We seem to apply fission process to keep splitting into two (so far 54 parties). On the contrary, HGDF መኻን ዩ. For that splitting, the main catalyst could be “lack of enough truth, glue”. Just saying.

    Timnit

Sister, you seem you are frustrated by the quality of the comments .Indeed ,Stay in the forum any way while your contribution is vital.
I agree with you that all the commentators repeat the same phrase like a talking birds. In my opinion out of those 40 comments written so far ,only 3 were valid to read.
Assena brought this breaking news only as a news.No more no less…And you ? Yes you ,why don’t you think a little before you write down your comments..Why ?
-Because you don’t know any thing about this man.He know only himself why he left the organization for which he had been a member for 35 years .
-Why is he different from the other high ranking EPLF veterans who left the mafia org .Example: Abdela Adem,Mesfin Hagos,General Tekeste Haile ,Ali Abdu etc. ..Some of you even you don’t have a trust on the above individuals if they have been really divorced from the Mafia org.
-You repeatedly call the Shift a government(i agree)…I think you mean not only Isaias but the whole Gov apparatus( Military officers ,Security personal ,diplomats etc)…So ,So if Philipos or Wedi Geratu defects today at 2pm ,they will be very good ppl at 2,01pm..OWWWWW in split of a second ,they can manage to change from Shifta group to none Shifta…..then folows congratulation and welcome.
    Please ,Please upgrade yourself .

Timnit thank you again sister .

    TO ABANDON THE ABANDONABLE
Nowadays to abandon the abandonable is making no sense. But it turns to be more fruitful when someone not abandons the abandonable with great national duty and responsibility.
