Their salary can’t cover the cost of house rent if they have kids .
The only once who can survive hardship life are those who depend
on family members financial assistance . In this case to ask for
help from Eritrean visitors is not a crime and doesn’t bother me
but it make me feel sorry .

I can’t remember even in the old good days if you leave your belongings unattended that you would find them untouched and safe where you left them in the first place. Eritrea under Hailesellasie, Eritrea under Dergu (Mengiye), Eritrea under Higdefs has always been the same, in short, it’s never been like a heaven or a place of Saints.
However, very sad and sorry to see and to learn that proud people have been forced to beg for living. Let’s just think what it would be like for others without a steady job and income if these so-called paid employee are forced to act this way. But may be they are collecting the money for their boss DIA and his regime!!!!

I don’t know the purpose you try to reach by bringing one bad
apple as an example of Asmera residents. At the same time people
lie to avoid conflict which is reasonable and steal to survive
from hunger which is also understandable but to jump directly
for judgment reflects own weakness .

The begging on the open and you have direct them on how to divide the money among themselves.

It is sad situation . Myself I can’t ignore their request knowing
HGDF negligence to balance living expenses in daily basis needs .
Imagine grown-ups Eritreans working in airport looking straight in your
face and say in low voice ” ghele iba belena ata hawna ” at first
moment you breath air of your home land . And in Asmera streets some
women surprise you to ask silently for some help that breaks your heart.
Even some Ade Suwuat and their spouses fall victims of injustices .

Yes it is heart breaking when you encounter suddenly an old woman coming and to hear here begging you.
How about the hundreds of women with photos of their lost or kidnapped children asking for assistance.
The main streets are filled with ‘ have you seen our son or daughter”.
How about the thousands of children sent to beg for money by their single and poor women without their husbands.
How about young women with children being forced to prostitute, because they can not make ends meet.
How about the hundreds of family units as a whole that are living day and night on the streets.
In Asmara unlike in the west, where drug and alcohol addicts are majority of the homeless, in Asmara it is, the thousands of families that have become outside and street
occupiers.
It is very heart breaking to witness whole families living in the street on the hot days and cold nights.

send you back to your death bed . I don’t care what everybody said ,
my family in Eritrea went through it . Thanks God they had helping
hands in diaspora but my heart goes to those with nobody to lean on
