I don’t see Daniel Tewolde’s name. So, it’s safe to assume that it is now official that he is sacked. 😉
dawnwith higdwf December 14, 2011
Eritreans … time to cast an inquisitive eye on any group that can one day hold the ultimate state power. Look into the history of our neighbours…. how Mengistu Haile mariam came to power…. no one ever anticipated that he would one day hold the highest political position after the Emperor. He came to power through a simple selection that wasn’t meant to put him on a leadership position. But he some how managed to drill a small hole through which he sneaked to the tunnel that led to the palace.
Beware, and never let any body you don’t know well decide on your future. Most of all … never take … a wait and see position… because ones its out of hand it will soon be to late.

I totaly agree with your concern not to be trapped on some betrayal again. We can
not afford to experience the same fate under authoritorian regime like Mengestu and Issayas again in our life. That is why we are fighting for democratic platform under our constitutional law to establish ever lasting progressive government to satisfy the need of its oeople. Dr. yousuf Berhanu said it all, the government suppose to be handled to the people. To do so, it requires the involvolment of all of us on this process with courage and maturity to succed our goal for the future of our dear country . Ultimately the only guarantee to get to that aim is our our unification. Thanks.

I do not agree give the post of media and propoganda for Tewodle G/selassie who might not clearly know what the role involves as he clearly demonstrated in Daniel Tewolde case.
The posts are dominatated by people from the lowland, the highlanders are more than 50% of the population and they way they assign the posts is very frustrating but the good thing is we will see what the future hold for us.
We need to topple hegdf and its messengers but we need also to consider what we are doing today could affect our future too.
Hamid December 15, 2011
There should not be any discrimination at this stage. The highlander, I trust, will one day hold at least 50% of the seats because they are determined and hard working people. This will also be healthy because it will ensure all stakeholders participate and develop Eritrea. However, at this stage it fair and natural to see most of the accupants to be from lowlanders, because the opposition for years since independence comprised mainly from lawlanders while the highlanders were mostly simpathizer or standing with the current regime. As for me, I would love to see my leaders to fair, just, honest, and capable individuals irrespective of their religion, regine, ethnicity, or language. In short those that respect Eritreans and Eritrea…. first the human being and then the country not the countrary like the claims of Isaias regime.

For the last 20 years the power of the government was and is at highlanders hand. We are
frustrated from them and we need change. It is not because their origin but the way they
behave. So once we are looking for change does is guarantee you their identity of their
origin or religion, think about it. what we need is honorable and honest people who cares.

Don’t get me wrong, I am from Asmera but I accept any Eritrean nationalist who shows his
honesty and dedication for the good of our country.

This is a question for Amanuel from Birmingham, about Tewelde should not get the post he is given. Can you comment for me what role tewelde played in the fate of Danie? No body wants to say or do about the commission, who was responsible for every thing that has to do with Daniel. Tewelde was the closest person to Daniel than any body else in the commission or Alliance. If we do not follow the truth with intergrity, we will never reach our goal. Why do we enjoy character assassination and blackmail, knowing that it is not going to get us nowhere. Amanuel I can chalenge you openly and prove it to you, if you are a man of integrity, that Tewelde is one of the best, if not the best man in the opposition camp for change and democracy. If you are honestly misinformed talk to me.

You are right, unless we have solid proof we suppose to refrain ourself from jumping
to offend somebody else.
Tsere OOSUBAT December 15, 2011
Hamid,
I can clearly see the devil in you. You blamed on the Highlanders for being sidelined from the leadership of the “congress” for reasons you as “they were supporters of the regime”. How about at least giving them the credit for liberating the nation? You have got to admit that the whole process representation and appointing people for the leadership was fraudulent. Try to get yourself liberated from the crookedness that seems to have being starving you to death. Moreover, there are more things that Eritreans are asking to know if what you are saying has any grain of truth. Could you ask your leaders to publish the names, political affiliations and place of residence of all the people that were at the Awassa meeting? Could you ask them to tell Eritreans why there was no single Highlander from the Sudan, the Middle East and Australia? We know there are as many Highland refugees in the Sudan as there are Low Landers. There are thousands of them in the Middle East and many more in Australia. If your aim is to weaken highland Eritrea by denying them their fair share of power, you already failed before you have lifted your lazy ass. Stop living in hashewiye.
ahmed saleh December 16, 2011
Tsere oosubat, Pls. change it to Tsere Hagerawian
You Tsehaye poor soul, you come with different name. When I read your post, I knew the familiarity of the language. When I check back the previous posts, bingo. You respond this article first to me now to Hamid, you hater. Get a life. Learn from your friend who tried to play us wih different names like Barentu, Haki Tezareb , Fako, Cicero. As they say” Many things in life will catch your eyes only few catch you heart”. Stop trashing and critisizing your brothers with your hideous ill will. Make pleasant to read your arguments in civil and decent manner. But you choose to corrupt this forum with your ugly and ideous attitude. Reedem yourself brother
before is too late to be part of progressive Eritreans.

I agree that we need change but we don’t need to be sharia or islamic state. we need to see educated people leading the opposition not Jahad. like who is the miltary leader, where did he come from. come on now i think we are going back ward again and this is not going to work. I think the only think they want is that they don’t want to see any Tigrigna people. we represent more 50% of the population and we need to be represented well more than 50% my friend but i see what is going on so it’s not going to work my friends. Please try again
Temesgen 31 December 15, 2011
Congra, all elected members and my beloved home boy Yohans. The change is coming rather soon one way or the other, and these group as we know it are under the gun, I hope they do well.
Kalighe December 15, 2011
As the end of the brutal looms on the horizon, it’s supporters will change side as soon as they feel change is imminent and inevitable. With them they will bring the bankrupt ideology of the regime. In substance it’s nothing but the most divisive issues and tactics they developed over the years.
We Eritreans need to understand one thing, if we don’t understand each other and make sure that every ones safety is our concern, we will continue to suffer, and there is no way a particular group will benefit while others suffer from exclusion and mistreatment.
abraham December 15, 2011
we need change sothat we not care about ethnic and religion.if we build a conistitunal goverment the mass be ouner of the outherity.
