ስልጣን ናይ ህዝቢ እዩ፡ ማለት እንታይ ማለት እዩ …? – ጻውዒት ንተኻፋሊን ደጋፊን ኤርትራዊ ጉባኤ ንደሞክራሲያዊ ቃልሲ

ኣነ ነዛ ጽሕፍቲ እዚኣ ክጽሕፍ ዘገደደኒ ምኽንያት፡ እታ፡ „ንድፊ መሰጋገሪ ቅዋም ሃገር ኤርትራ“፡ እትብል፡ ብሽማግለ ፖለቲካዊ ጉዳያት፡ ኣካል ኤርትራዊ ሃገራዊ ኮምሽን ንደሞክራሲያዊ ለውጢ፡ ዝተዳለውትን ኣብ ህዝቢ ዝተዘርገሔት ሰነድ እያ። ኣነ ሰነድ’ዚ ብተገዳስነት ኣንቢበ ምስተረዳኣኒ፡ ኣብ

ኣነ ነዛ ጽሕፍቲ እዚኣ ክጽሕፍ ዘገደደኒ ምኽንያት፡ እታ፡ „ንድፊ መሰጋገሪ ቅዋም ሃገር ኤርትራ“፡ እትብል፡ ብሽማግለ ፖለቲካዊ ጉዳያት፡ ኣካል ኤርትራዊ ሃገራዊ ኮምሽን ንደሞክራሲያዊ ለውጢ፡ ዝተዳለውትን ኣብ ህዝቢ ዝተዘርገሔት ሰነድ እያ። ኣነ ሰነድ’ዚ ብተገዳስነት ኣንቢበ ምስተረዳኣኒ፡ ኣብ ኣእምሮይ ብዙሕ ሕቶታት ተቐላቒሎም። ሓደ ካብቶም ሕቶታት፡ ሃገራዊ ዋዕላ ንሃገራዊ ኮምሽን ዝሃቦ ሓደራ (ሓላፍነት) ፡ ንድሕሪ ጉባኤ ዝእቶ መድርኽ፣ ነቲ ብመገዲ ሃገራዊ ጉባኤ ክምስረት ዝድለ ዘሎ ትካላት፣ ዘገልግል፣ ቀያዲ ኮይኑ፡ ንምውዳቅ ስርዓት ህግደፍ ክሕግዝ ዝኽእል፣ ዶስ፡ ዋላ ድሕሪ ወድቀት ስርዓት ህግድፍ፡ ኣብ ሃገርና ምስእተና፡ ከገልግለና ዝኽእል፡ ቅዋም ንምንዳፍ እዩ ነይሩ …? ዝብል እዩ። እዚ፡ „ንድፊ መሰጋገሪ ቅዋም ሃገር ኤርትራ“፡ ዝብል ኣርእስቲ ዝሓዘለ ሰነድ፡ እቶም ስርዓት ህግደፍ ኣልጊስካ፡ ብደሞክራሲያዊ ቅዋምን ስርዓትን፡ ክትካእ እንቃለስ ዘሎና ደቂ ሃገር፡ ካብ ቀዳማይ ክሳብ መጨረሻ ገጽ፡ ብግቡእ፡ ናይዚ ወይ ነይቲ ውድብ ወይ’ውን ሰልፊ፡ ጽግዒ ከይሓዝና፡ ከም ተራ ኤርትራዊ ኣንቢባን ክንርድኦ እንተፈቲና፡ ብትሕዝትኡ ምስ ኣርእስቲ ናይዚ ሰነድ’ዚ ዝጋጮ፣ ጨሪሹ ዘይቃዶን፡ ነጥብታት እዩ ዘሎው። ካብ መጀመርያ ክሳብ መጨረሻ ናይዚ ሰደድ’ዚ ዘለዉ ምዕራፋትን ዓንቀጻትን፡ ብግቡእ እንተተረዲእናዮ፡ ስርዓት ህግድፍ ታኣለየ፡ ቀዋሚ ባይቶን መንግስትን ምስተተኸለ፡ ክትግበሩን ክንሰርሓሎም ዘገልግሉና ነጥብታት እዮም።

እሞ እቲ ሓቀኛ ትሕዝቶ ናይዚ ሰነድ’ዚ ከምዚ ኣቀዲመ ዝሓበርክዎ፡ ከምዝኾነ ክንራዳዳእ ኢንተኽኢላና፡ እታ ኣብዚ እነቅርባ ካላኣይቲ ሕቶ፡ ከምዚ ትስዕብ እያ። ብዙሓት ካባና፡ ብፍላይ ካኣ እቶም፡ ካብ 1991 ዓ.ም.ፈ. ጀሚርና ክሳብ ሕጂ፡ ኣመራርሓን ኣታኣላልያን ህዝብን ሃገርን ስርዓት ኢሳያስ ኣፈወርቂ፡ ንቃወም ዝነበርናን ዘሎናን፡ ደቂ ሃገር፡ ነቲ ኣብ 1997 ዓ.ም.ፈ ብፍቃድ ስርዓት ህግደፍ ዝተነድፈ፣ ብባይቶ ዝጸደቀ ቅዋም፣„ኣብ ምንዳፉን ምጽዳቅን ናይዚ ቅዋም’ዚ ንሕና ተኻፈልቲ ስለዘይነበርና፣ ድምጽና ስለዘይሃብናሉ፡ ከም ቅዋም ሃገር ኤርትራ ኣይንቅበሎን፣ ኣይነለልዮን፡ ዝብል ክሲ ክነቅርብ ጸኒሕና ክነብቅዕ፡ ተመሊስና ንሕና ባዕልና፡ ኣብ ሃገርና ዘሎ ህዝብና ዘይተኻፈሎን ድምጹ ዘይሃበሉን፣ ኣብ ሃገርና ዘሎ ህዝብና ዝማሓደረሉ ቅዋም፡ ኣብ ስደት ኮይና ዝነደፍናዮን ዘጽደቅናዮን ሒዝናሉ ክንኣቱ፡ ዝተገብረ ጌጋ ተመሊስካ ምድጋም፡ ዝተፋእካዮ ተምላስ ተመሊስካ ምልሓስ፡ ዶ ኣየስምዕን …? ትብል እያ። ካብ ኩሉ ካኣ፡ ንስርዓት ውልቀ-መላኺ ኣሊና፡ ብደሞክራሲያዊ ስርዓት ንምትካእ እዩ፡ እንቃለስ ዘሎና፡ እንዳበልና፡ ኣብ ስደት ዝነደፍናዮን ዘጽደቅናዮን ሃገራዊ ቅዋም፡ ንኣብ ሃገርና ዘሎ ህዝብና ሒዝናሉ ክንኣተ እተኾይና፡ ብድልየትና ክኸይድ፣ dictat ክንገብሮ ንዳሎ ከምዘሎና ዶ ኣየስምዕን …? ብተወሳኺ እውን፡ „ደሞክራሲያዊ ስርዓት ኣብ ሃገር ኤርትራ ክትከል እናደለኻ፡ ብኣንጻሩ ግን ዲክታቶሪያዊ ስርዓት ንምትእትታው ትዳሎ ዲኻ“፡ ዝብል ሕቶ ዘላዓዕል ዶ ኣይመስልን …? እዚ ክብል እንከለኹ ግን፡ ብጌጋ ከይትርድኡኒ፡ እዚ እነካይዶ ዘሎና ቃልሲ፡ ኣንጻር ህግደፍ፡ ዝግበር ዘሎ ኤርትራዊ ሃገራዊ ጉባኤ፣ ዝተነደፈ መሰጋገሪ ቅዋም ሃገር ኤርትራ፣ ዲክታቶሪያዊ ስርዓት ንምትካል እዩ፡ ዝብል መልእኽቲ ንምምሕልላፍ ኣይኮነን፡ ወይ’ውን ደቂ ሃገር ኣብ ምጥርጣር ንምእታው ኣይኮነን፡ እንታይ ዳኣ፡ ስልጣን ናይ ህዝቢ እዩ፡ ዝብል ጭርሖ ኩሉ ግዜ ስለእንጠቀም፡ ነዚ ጭርሖ እዚ ካበየናይ ኣረዳድእ ተበጊስና ኢና እንጥቀመሉ፡ ተመሊስና ክንርእዮን ክንማራመረሉን፡ ከዘኻኽር ስለዝመረጽኩ እዩ።

እቲ ዝላዓለ፡ ስክፍታይ ኣብ ልዕሊ እዚ ሰነድ’ዚ ግን፡ ብዘይ ድምጽን ተኻፋልነትን ኣብ ሃገርና ዘሎ ህዝብና፡ ኣብ ስደት ቅዋም ነድፍካ ናብ ሃገር ኤርትራ ሕዝካዮ ምእታው ዘሎ ድልየት፡ ኣይኮነን። እቲ ዝያዳ ናዓይ ዝርብሸኒ፡ ትሕዝቶታት ናይዚ መሰጋገሪ ቅዋም እዚ እዮም። ንምርድዳእ ክሕግዘና ካኣ፡ ገለ ካብ ኣታቶም ኣብዚ ክገልጾም ክፍትን እየ። ቀዳማይ፤ ኣብ መእተዊ ኣብ (ገጽ 1.)፤ “ኣህጉራዊ ውዑላትን መለኮታዊ እምነታትትን ብዘቐመጦ መሰረት“፤ ዝብል ነጥቢ፡ ብፍላይ ካኣ እታ፡ „መለኮታዊ እምነት ብዘቐመጦ መሰረት“፡ እትብል ኣምር፡ ክትዋሓጠለይ ኣይካኣለትን። ምኽንያቱ፤ ናዓይ ከምዝርዳኣኒ፡ ደቂ ሰባት ሕጊ ነዲፎም ስርዓት ዝተኽሉ፡ ብቀዳምነት ስለ-ንጽድቂ ወይ እውን ሓጢኣት ኣይኮነን፡ እንታይ ዳኣ፡ ኣብ ማዓልታዊ ናብርኦም፣ ህይወቶም ማለት፡ ናይ ምንባር ዕድሎምን ንብረቶምን፡ ብመሰረት ሕጊ ውሕስነት ንምልባስን ምርግጋጽን እዩ። ስለዚ ሕጊ ምስ ክውንነት ደቂ ሰብ ዳኣ እምበር፡ ምስ እምነት ዘራኽብ የብሉን። እምነት ከም መሰል ዳኣ እዩ ኣብ ሕጊ (ቅዋም) ክሰፍር ዘለዎ እምበር፡ ምንጪ ሕጊ ከኸውን የብሉን ዝብል ዕግበት እዩ ዘሎኒ። ስለዚ ምንጪ ናይ ሕጊ፡ ኣብ ባይታ ዘሎ ክውንነት ዳኣ እዩ ክኽወን ዘለዎ እምበር፡ ካብ „መልኮታዊ እምነት ብዘቐመጦ መሰረት“፡ ክብገስ ኣለዎ ዝብል ሓሳብ፡ ብወገነይ ጌጋ እዩ።

ካላኣይ፣ ኣብ መእተዊ፡ ኣብ (ገጽ 1.)፤ „ዘይምእኩል ቅዋማዊ ደሞክራሲያዊ ሰርዓት ጋህዲ ንምግባር ንዋሳእ“፡ ትብል ነጥቢ ኣላ። ኣነ ነዛ ሓሳብ እዚኣ ምስ ራኣኹ፡ ቀልጢፋ ኣብ ኣእምሮይ ዝተቃላቀለት ሕቶ፣ እዚ ቅዋም እዚ ዝተነድፈ ቅድሚ ኩነት፡ ማለት ኣብ ኤርትራ ዘሎ ህዝብና ኣብ ጉዳዩ ከምዝካፈል ቅድሚ ምግባር፡  ናይ ገለ ውድባት/ሰልፍታት ፖለቲካዊ ራኢ ንምዕዋት፣ ኣብ መሰጋገሪ እዋን ከምዚ ዛመሰለ political System ኣታኣታቲኻ ጸኒሕካ፡ ድሕሪ’ዚ ንህዝቢ ናዓኻ ብዝጥዕመካ ክትዝውሮ (dictat ክትገብሮ) ስለዝተደለየ ድዩ …? ትብል እያ። እወ ኣብ ሃገርና፡ ድሕሪ ውድቀት ስርዓት ውልቀ-መላኺ፡ ብቅዋማዊ ደሞክራስያዊ ስርዓትን ክትካእ ኣለዎ። እንተኾነ ግን፡ እቲ ኣብ ኤርትራ ክትከል ዘለዎ ስርዓት፡ „ዘይምእኩል ቅዋማዊ ደሞክራሲያዊ ሰርዓት“፡ ዲዩ ክኸውን ዘለዎ፡ ዋላስ „ምእኩል ቅርጺ ስርዓት ደሞክራሲ“፡ ወሳኒ እቲ፡ ብ-ሰፊሕ ተኻፋልነት ህዝብና ኣብ ሃገርና ዝተነደፈ ቀዋሚ ቅዋም፡ ዳኣ እዩ ክኸውን ዘለዎ እምበር፡ ኣብዚ መሰጋገሪ እዋን’ዚ ክትግበር ዝካኣል ቅርጺ ስርዓት ኣይኮነን። ምኽንያቱ፤ ዕድመ መሰጋገሪ መድርኽ፡ ከምቲ ቻርተርን ሓባሪ ካርታን ዝብሎ፡ 3 ዓመት ጥራይ ስለዝኾነ፡ እቲ ኣብዚ መሰጋገሪ እዋን’ዚ ዝትከል፡ መላግቦ ይኹን ግዜያዊ፡ መንግስቲ ንህዝብና ኣብ ጉዳዩ ከምዝኻፈል ብምግባር፡ ሓድነቱ ዘረጋግጸሉ፣ ባሓባር ከምዝነብር ክገብሮ ዝኽእል ቀዋሚ ቅዋም ክነድፍ፣ ቀዋሚ መንግስትና ባይቶን ክተክል፡ ባይታ ንኸጣጣሓሉ ዳኣ እምበር፡   ገባሪን ሓዳግን ቅዋም ንኽኸውን ኣይኮነን። ስልጣን ናይ ህዝቢ እዩ፡ ክባሃል እንከሎ፡ ክመርጽን ክምረጽን ዕድል ስለዝተዋሃቦ ኣይኮነን፡ ኣብ ጉዳዩ ተሳታፍነቱ ብምርግጋጽ፡ እዚ’ስ የናብረና እዩ፡ ዝብል ቅዋም፡ ካብ ነጻ ድልየቱ ተበጊሱ፡ ክነድፍ ከምዝኽእል ብምግባር እዩ። ስለዚ ህዝብና ክሳብ ሕጂ ታሓሪምዎ ዘሎ፡ ዕድሉ ባዕሉ ክውስን ዘይምኽእሉ፡ ምዃኑ ተረዲኡና፡ ብህግደፍ ዝተገብረ ጌጋ፡ ሕጂ እውን ባኣና ክይድገም፡ ካብ ከምዚ ዝኣመሰለ ቅዋም ኣብዚ ጉባኤ ድምጽና ካብ ማሃብ ክንቑጠብ ይምሕጸን።

ሳልሳይ ነጥቢ ኣብ ዓንቅጽ (7)፤ ዘሎ፡ ሓጋጊ ምንጭታት፤ ምስ ሃይማኖት ህዝቢ ኤርትራ ዝተኣሳሰሩ መለኮታዊ እምነታት (…) ዝተሞርኮሰ ይኸውን“ ኣለዎ፡ ዝብል ሓሳብ፡ እዩ። ሕጂ እውን እዚ ነጥቢ እዚኣ ብዕሙቕ ዝበለ ልቦና እንተፈቲሽናያ፡ ከምቲ ኣብ ላዕሊ ዝሃብክዎ መግለጺ፡ ንናይ ገለ ውድባት/ሰልፍታት ፖለቲካዊ ኣጀንዳ ንምዕዋት፡ ተብሂሉ ዝቀረበ ሓሳብ ዳኣ እምበር፡ ንህዝብና ብማዕረ ክተማሓድርን ክትኣልን ክትዳንን ትኽእል እዩ፡ ተብሂሉ ዝቀረበት ነጥቢ ኣይኮነትን፡ ባሃሊ እየ። ካብ ኩሉ ካኡ፡ ሓድነት ህዝብና ኣብ ምልክት ሕቶ እተእቱ፡ ሓደገኛ ነጥቢ እያ። ካብ „Rational“ ኣታሓሳስባ አረዳዳን ተበጊስና፡ ደቂ ሰብ ቅዋም ነዲፎም ድሕሪ’ዚ ስርዓት ክተኽሉ ዘገደዶም ምኽንያት እንታይ እዩ፡ ዝብል ሕቶ ብልቦና ክንፍትሻ እንተፈቲና፡ እቲ አመልሲ፡ ብቀዳምነት ውሕስነት ቀጻልነት ህይወቶም ክረጋገጽ፣ ኣብ ማዓልታዊ ናብርኦም፡ ዓማጽን ታዓማጽን ከይህሉ፣ ፍትሒ ክነግስ፣ ዳኣ እምበር፡ ድሕሪ ሞት ኣብ ሰማይ ኣብ ገነት ንኽኣትዉ ኣይኮነን፡ ዝብል ዕግበት እዩ ዘሎኒ። ሃይማኖትን መለኮታዊ እምነትን፡ ሓደ ካብቶም መሰላት ደቂ ሰብ ዳኣ እምበር፡ ምንጪ ሕጊ ኣይኮነን። ኣብ ሃገር ዘሎ ስርዓት ሕጊ ኣልቦ ካብ ስሩ ከይማሓኻ፡ ማዓስ እዩ እዚ ስርዓት’ዚ ዝእለ፡ እትፈልጦ ነገር ዘይብልካ፡ ገና ኣብ ስደት እንዳተቀመጥካ፡ መበገሲ ሕጊ ህዝቢ ኤርትራ ሃይማኖትን መለኮታዊ እምነትን ክኽወን ኣለዎ፡ ምባል፡ ኣብ ውሽጢ ተቃውሞ ደንበ ኣሉታዊ ሳዕበናትን፡ ሓደገኛ ምፍሕፋሓትን ዝፈጥር፣ ሓቛፊ ዘይኮነ’ስ፡ ዝበታትን፣ ንኣብ ሃገርና ዘሎ ህዝብና ካኣ፡ ካብ ስርዓት ህግድፍ ዘገላግል ሓሳብ ዘይኮነ’ስ፡ ንፕሮፓጋንዳ ስርዓት ህግድፍ ዘገልግል፣ ነጥቢ እዩ ክኸውን ዝኽእል። ናዓይ ከምዝርዳኣኒ፡ መበገሲ ወይ እውን ምንጪ ሕጊ፡ ናጽነት ደቂ ሰባት ዳኣ እምበር፡ ሃይማኖትን መለኮታዊ እምነትን ኣይኮነን። ናጽነቱ ኣብ ግዝእት ሕጊ ዘይተረጋገጸሉ፡ ማለት ናጽነቱ ዝተዓመጸ ህዝቢ፡ ሃይማኖቱን መለኮታዊ እምነቱን ከተግብር፣ ብዘረባ ይኹን ብጽሑፍ መልክዕ ርእይቶ ወይ ሓሳብ ከቅርብ፣ ኣብ ባህላዊ ይኹን ኣብ ማሕበራዊ ምዕባሌታት ክርኢ፣ ኣብ ውሽጢ ሃገር ይኹን ናብ ደገ ከም ድልየቱ ክንቀሳቀስ፣ ናብርኡ ንዕኡ ብዝጥዕሞ ከካናውን፣ ወዘተ… ኣይክእልን እዩ። እዘን ዝገለጽክወን መሰረታዊ መሰል ደቂ ሰባት ዝዕመጻ፡ ናጽነት ደቂ ሳባት ምስተመንዘዔን ምስተረገጸን እዩ። ዋላ እውን፡ ሓደ ህዝቢ፡ ንሱ ዝሳማማዓሉ ሕጊ ክውጽእ እንተኾይኑ፡ ቅድሚ ኩነት ናጽነቱ፡ ክረጋገጽ ኣለዎ። እዚ ካኣ፡ መሰረታዊ መሰል ደቂ ሰብ ናጽነት ከምዝኾነት፡ እዩ ዝሕብረና። ስለዚ መበገስን ምንጪ ሕጊ ሓደ ህዝቢ፡ ናጽነትን ሓርነትን ደቂ ሰብ ዳኣ እዩ ክኸውን ዘለዎ እምበር፡ ሃይማኖትን መለኮታዊ እምነትን ኣይኮነን። እምባኣርከስ ውሕስነት ናጽነትን ሓርነትን ምስ ተረጋገጽ፡ ሃይማኖትን እምነትን ከም መሰል ከምዝኸብር ካብ ተፈለጠ፡ መበገሲ ምንጭታት ሕጊ፡ ብቐዳምነት ምውሓስ ናጽነትን ሓርነትን፡ ነብሲ ወከፍ ኤርትራዊ፡ እዩ ክኸውን ዘለዎ። እቲ ቀንዲ ኣገዳሲ፡ ኩላትና ደቂ ሃገር ክርዳኣና ዘለዎ ግን፡ ሓጋጊ ምንጭታት ህዝቢ ኤርትራ ካበይ ይበገስ ብዘየገድስ፡ ስልጣ ናይ ህዝቢ እዩ፡ ክባሃል እንከሎ፡ እንታይ ማለት ምዃኑ፡ ብግቡ ክንፈልጦ ኣሎና። ከምቲ ኣቀድም ኣቢለ ዝገለጽክዎ፡ ስልጣን ናይ ህዝቢ እዩ ክባሃል እንከሎ፡ ኣብ ክመርጽን ክምረጽን ዝተሓጽረ ዘይኮነ’ስ፡ ከማሓድሮ ዝኽእል ቅዋም እውን፡ ባዕሉ፡ ካብ ነጻ ድልየቱ ተበጊሱ፡ ተኻፋልነቱ ኣብ ዝተረጋገጸሉ ባይታ፡ ክነድፍ ክኽእል እንከሎ እዩ። ስለዚ ክቡራት ኣሕዋት ኣሓትን ተኻፈልቲ ጉባኤ፡ እወ ንድሕሪ ጉባኤ ዝእቶ መድርኽ ክስራሓና ዝኽእል ቀይዲ፡ ከድልየና እዩ። ስርዓት ኢሳያስ ከይኣለኻ እንኮለኻ ግን፡ ህዝቢ ኤርትራ ዝማሓደረሉ ቅዋም ኣብ ስደት ኮይንካ ምንዳፍ፡ ኣብ ዘይተጸበናዮ ሓደጋ ከየውድቀና፡ ነዚ ሕጂ ተነዲፉ ዘሎ፡ መሰጋገሪ ቅዋም ህዝቢ ኤርትራ፡ ዝብል ሰነድ፡ ኢድኩም ከይተንብርሉ፡ ድምጽኩም ክይትህብሉ፡ ይፍታሓላ ክትብሉ፡ ጻዊዕተይ የቅርብ።

    a. The author did his best to explain a lot of issues very well. But this so called “conference” which is really like a yearly meeting of certain political groups does not deserve a response of this magnitude. The best response is to ignore them.
    If these groups are promoting and marketing about this annual meeting as a “national conference” representing Eritrea, then they are only fooling themselves because they only represent the ideals of the dead Jebha and its defunct leadership.
    I also heard this morning in a Paltalk that many young Eritreans who were willing to participate were deliberately excluded by some individuals who call themselves as “commission”. The major insult was when Mr. Danel Tewelde who was elected as a representative of many Eritreans in California was accused as “higdef spy, TusTus, bojbaj … untrustworthy” by the chairman of the commission Amaha Domieniko but no commission member tried to defend poor Danel who treated as a piece of shit. … b

      b. For the last few years until he was frozen, Danel Tewelde has been its official public relations officer in charge of media and documentation.
      Not only this but also Amha and others called the Ethiopian police and security forces to “throw him to jail and take action” on Danel. Learning from the higdef regime, which to its credit admits of being not democratic, Amha and the commission have “frozen” (mdskal) many ELECTED members without any legal and democratic process. Lomi Danel, tsbah nAKa:
      Any decision or Fatwa or decree made in the name of this undemocratic self-appointed commission is null and void. This self-appointed commission is illegal and its does not represent Eritrea or Eritrea’s interest. This is not Eritrea’s Gubaie. This is not Eritrea’s conference. This only represents the views and interests of its senile leadership.
      I urge Eritreans to stop talking and mentioning this commission because it only represents the rotten views of its aging leaders.
      This is another lost opportunity, waste of time and resources. This “commission” will not disappoint to disappoint you.

    When presenting the findings of my research in Eritrea to an audience of mostly young Eritreans in Germany, I tentatively titled my presentation “The ‘Beles’– A Tenth Ethnic Group?” I added it was meant somewhat provocatively. During the discussion a young man said: “Actually, your title is not provocative at all. It’s the truth!” Some of the older listeners flinched, but the younger ones nodded or at least did not contradict the speaker. As the sojourns in Eritrea have shown, the “culture of exile” not only set them apart from Eritrean society but serves also to create a sense of solidarity and mutual understanding among fellow exiles from all over the world. This also explains why most young people go back to Eritrea for another holiday in spite of negative experiences.

      “They [the locals] gave us a hard time, but still I feel quite homesick now, not for the Eritreans there, but for the friends I made there. I mean other Eritreans from abroad. In Asmara even people you hardly say hello to in Frankfurt are suddenly your best buddies. (Fieldnotes B.C.)”
      I argue that journeys to Eritrea make most youngsters aware that something like an Eritrean “exile” or “diaspora culture” in its own right exists at all, and that it might be something of an asset, rather than a stigma. But as any other diaspora, the Eritrean diaspora cannot exist without a common point of reference: and this remains Eritrea. But rather than the myth of return, it is now the reference to a common origin that makes Eritreans abroad a community. Thus the summer holiday is no longer seen as a rehearsal for a potential return, but more like a celebration of one’s origin and community.

    The nicknaming of the exiles as beles might illustrate this. Beles is the Tigrinya name for the prickly pear. Its sweet, but tough and thorny-skinned fruits are harvested during the rainy season when the diaspora Eritreans come to visit. An explanation I have been offered for this nicknaming gave it a more metaphorical meaning: “The exiles are like beles, they are only here for a short time bringing a promise of sweetness. But when they are gone you are just left with a pile of rubbish”. In any case, calling someone beles is meant to be an insult and also understood as such. Some of the exiles retaliated by calling the locals kiraf beles– beles skin – alluding to the local youth’s endeavours to imitate their western habitus and fashion style….
    Rahwa, a young woman I met in Asmara had just left a volunteer job after being told by an Eritrean colleague that she was not a “real Eritrean” after all. The incident also led her to contemplate about her future:
    “I used to think some day I would go to live in Eritrea, perhaps with 30 or 40. It was always in the back of my mind. Now I cannot even imagine going back with 60. [Pause] But neither can I imagine growing old in Germany. I feel quite homeless now – like a Kurd.”

During and after some months of the first congress, I heard people blaming Daniel as if he is Woyane´s agent, now you are telling us, as he suspected as pfdJ agent. Is it a diverting manoeuvre to glorify Daniel as Eritrean, or is it liked to defame his name by different interest groups for their own secret agenda? This need a deep research. Anyway weather EDP conference, or EPDP´s “ MENYA KOLLEL´s ” like the endless socalled public meeting,we know it wouldn´t and couldn´t change or bring anything good,they simply are cheating themselves, as long as they not able to unite and stand to fight together theirs common enemy PFDJ. Secondly they all have to know, in newly democratic Eritrea we like to establish, Power without the people choice and participation,no party, leader or constitution would not have legitimacy, like the Ato Asfaha W/ Michael rightly pointed in his article above. Wouldn´t you shame all the time when you tell us Waila; Waila without repenting your selves? Specially EPDP for what is your all time news socalled public meeting?Atleast weather good or bad EDP seems practical.     The conference has lost its credibility after Amha Domenico and AbduRahman illegally fired Daniel Tewelde. Obviousely there is an evil synergy between some members of the commission.
    I always suspected there is synergy between Amha and Beshir Ishaq, mainly to make sure their power base secured and not challenged by a fresh revolutionaries like Daniel and Bereket.

    What ever comes from the conference, I doubt people will embrace the result, because of the illegal actions by the executive body.

    The author of the article knows well that our people have traditions that uphold lofty human values because sanctity of life and respect for others is in the text and spirit of their Holy Books. What does “In God we trust” mean ?, did it make of USA a theocratic state ?. Regarding decentralization and other issues that he think should be left to “the people”, I think there is a lot of hypocrisy about these issues. First, in a country like ours the public opinion is created by a few elites. Sooner of later what they want will happen. Tell me what the people can decide without being conditioned by elites who have conflicting ideas about what kind of Eritrea they want. The Tigrignas want rule the country from the center and those who have been marginalized since the Italians left are tired of it, so for them it’s about to be or not to be, a certain degree of decentralization tailored along traditional regions is a must. Without it the country will not have peace.

    Where is the memhir Amanuel Sahle, the former journalist of the Eritrean Profile. I used to enjoy and learn from his columns in Asmara going to the university. I thought he was a courageous person but he is not speaking up and defending the human rights of Eritreans in Sinai Egypt in the hands of the evil Arab Bedous or selfish Arab doctors in Egypt who are stealing the kidneys and the cornea of Eritreans.

If Imaha Demonic and Abdelrahman can do this type of criminal acts (asking the Ethiopian security agents to interrogate Daniel Tewelde), think what they will be able to do (God forbid) if they hold power in Asmara.             I heard the side story of Daniel and I prefer to hold my judgement until I find out
            the other side story too. Even though I didn’t approve their handling of the case.
            We need to be informed with full explanation in detail. The commission should
            bring those responsible for this illegal undemocratic acts and respond fairly. Our
            expectation on this political movement by our politicians is to provide a healthy
            environment in which anyone can be comfortable and free from pressures. We are
            here to succeed in reclaiming our people’s right of freedom and some members of
            this organizations approach is not going to be tolerated. Don’t under estimate us
            we are not here to kiss your butts, we could kick it too if that is what it takes.
