Little do these so called regime supporters knuckle-heads realize that the sticks and stones may be on their side today, but there will come a time – sooner than later – and they will neither have the sticks nor the stones and of course they will come out swinging with their new found Eritrea prevailing over evil mantra because nobody knows their real identity, but their turn-coat characteristics will ostensibly show their real colour in due course. I have no worries there.

It is a beautiful Tigrigna, well written and so refreshing too to see the ancient language of “Eritrea” Geez/Tigrigna being written properly and delightfully. That is how it should have been before the Tigrigna language was relegated to a second class ‘formally unusable’ language by its own modern highly educated off-springs…. ……….. if one does not have respect for what he/she has, nobody else will.
But let me go to the subject at hand. Ato Tadesse Kidane did a marvellous job. It reads like a novel. Oh yes, a reader could point out some literary flaws here and there. But overall, it is an exciting readable piece, goading the reader to her/his interpretation. And he spared us from some 40-50-Word sentence structures, without a single punctuation, that we see in the internet from writers who believe they are ‘writers’ just because it is their mother tongue!!!!
Ato Tadesse, for a good reason, decided to spell out the aim of the paper at the end. I agree; but, purely from enjoyment of a novel, I would have liked it to end in such a way that the reader would have the enjoyment of his/her own interpretation. But the present acute problem of Eritrea does not permit such a luxury – in fact, it may even be offensive. And so, the writer’s decision is fully backed by necessity. It is hoped that Eritrean readers dwell on it and step on the plate, leaving their parochial considerations aside, and cooperate to SAVE Eritrea. Less than that, the destiny of Eritrea will be decided by external force(s). Believe it!
