The majority Eritreans are the most coward people on earth. The type who would silently herded to their death like cattle. Even some cattle put up a fight. We have heard about 40 or 50 Eritreans smuggled to Sinai by two or three Arabs with the gun. The same is also true with the cowardly military called Warsai, a 300,000 strong army is abused by less than 2000 top officers. Hence, people like Wedi Ali deserve to celebrated as hero in a nation full of cowards.
Unfortunetly, i have to agree with you in this regard. But may i ask you, where eritreans like this also 50 years ago? Or did they end like this because of the weak DIASPORA and the tyranny inside Eritrea?
I really want to study this particular case more carefully. It is too weird, anywhere in africa you hear of revolt of civilians, but eritreans are too scared although they were given guns to fight and are military trained. The point in regards to the arab bedous is really true which disgusts me actually most. Where does this cowardness come from?
Wedi Ali, no matter what others say is a real HERO, he went inside the “battle”…, at least he died with “honour”.. i would also not want to get arrested i either would have shot all of them or just killed myself too.

anybody whom they think knowledgeable was part of their tactics . And after independence around
1994 start to built prisons , as the result now they have more than 50 prisons in that tiny
country which is astonishing and hard to understand since Eritreans are more peace loving people .
Well if they silence educated patriots and people of integrity who you think would left behind ;
only cowards and other poor souls confused in limbo position to surrender .
The problem with us it is not that we are being cowards rather we are more trained to avoid problems (or run away from problems) instead of confronting them head on. This is further complicated by the fact that we are oblivious when bad thing happens to our compatriots (e.g., G15, the fort, and others). As the saying goes it does not concern me as long as it does not happen to me.
DIA knows this very well and he understand the psychic of the Eritrean people like the palms in his hand more than anyone give him credit. He has been capitalizing on this more than 40 years! Unless we realize this and start confronting him as an individual or as collective, he will continue to enjoy his power. Until then keep up the fight and don’t give up!
