Truly Truly i say to you January 31, 2015
Anyway my final advice to Ethiopians their chicken dream by causing suffer to reverse the independence they have to stop it. But i advice to think about Eritrea instead as enemy for the future to work with as strategical partner. This is what it privileges both nation. I don´t want to give deep detail about, but if you put in to consideration the possible threat that may would coming danger from Egypt because of Nile, the Ethiopians they should not to take the Eritrean separation as evil, their strategic partnership with Eritrea more than i explain i no doubt as it will privilege them both in economical and the national defense aspect. But while there is no normality and peace to preach about unity it is simply mockery or i call it an insult.

There main enemy of Eritrea today is Higdef. The country is empty of its young people who are escaping in all direction to find a better future elsewhere.
Regarding Ethipia and history there is a lot to say, but it’s not the main issue now.
The current rulers of Ethiopia (the Weyane) recognized independence of Eritrea, therefore we should not have big problems with them. When we will have an elected government in Eritrea, we will do our best to solve all problems in the interest of both countries and peace. That said, unfortunately, there are some remnants of the old regime, who happen to be mostly Amhara, who hate Eritrea and its people for seeking independence and freedom. They want a big Ethiopia they control from Addis, an Empire that expands into its neighbors’ territories. They are also mortal enemies of federalists in their own country, mainly because they believe ethnic federalism limits their chance of expanding internally into Oromo and Somali lands. This hegemonic political strategy makes them also enemies of many Ethiopians who will do anything to protect their rights in their ancestral lands, and self-governance in their regions (Killil), i.e for Somalis, Afar, Oromos, ..etc. Ethiopia, after centuries of slavery and marginalization, finally, it’s at peace with itself.
We Eritreans have no saying in Ethiopian internal issues, but we should remain vigilant to protect ourselves from imperialists and their war mongering ideology. Strangely, Higdef is an ally of these dangerous groups.

The problem with ethiopian government has nothing to do with amara but the crule dishonesty of hgdf against woyane. In one hand thanked woyane for the help eritrag got from woyane and at the same time stabbing woyane as the cause of landlocking ethiopia. A good solid example issaias working with ginbot 7 and esat who both anexed eritrea. Another example hgdf atempt to ssffocate ethiopian economy by forcing Djibouti.
Hgdef knows ginbot 7 very well but as long as it creats civil war in ethiopoa good very good with hgdef.

Sad picture But nonsense article.
First of all any article must have a purpose or aim.So what was the aim of the writer ? did he want to teach us history or to remind us the massacre of of the then Ethiopian rulers?
Those war-prisoners and activists didn’t deserve to be killed in any way.Yes with out any doubt. But Was it different from Wekidiba ,Shiib ,Massawa etc?
-Was it different from the killings which were cared out through out Ethiopia in the Red-terror?
-Was it different from the Ethiopia war-prisoners who were slaughtered by Jebha?
-Was it different from the Shaebia VS Jebha carnage ?
-Was it different from the massacre of Suria Addis,Menkae ,Yemin etc? the list is long.
So be consistent you can not choose one and leave the other and try to learn from the world.How many ppl died in the war between France and Germany? and where are they now?

It was never about the border, it was never about the port, it was never about what Godefa wants us to believe, EPLF/TPLF….EPRDF/PFDJ is a history happening in our age. Only the naive can be deceived.
The EPRDF (and TPLF in particular) government in Addis Ababa not only supported the principle of the right of Eritrea for self determination, but also had paid heavy sacrifices – human, material and political sacrifices to that end. Whether Eritreans wanted unity, independence, federation or confederation, EPRDF simply left that to Eritreans choice. Of course, once the Eritrean question was resolved via referendum, it was supposed both nations would live in peace forever, and resolve any issues peacefully. Didn’t the two came from the bush, and had first hand experience and knowledge of the devastating effects of war? Yes, they did, and so they can never fight for land claims at all Godefa!!!!
Yes soon after the bush life was over then came the office life. The economy became the daily business of life in office. If Godefa was honest, he would have attempted to see the economic policies both governments pursued and tell us the potential for a conflict. Turning Eritrea (soon after 30 years of a devastating war) to an African Singapore from Ethiopia’s resources, and overnight is probably the best a leader can envision. The question is HOW? Simply, “chamakha maEre egirikha” would fit the answer.
The conflict was THUS ignited simply because PFDJ crafted such parasitical policy, and tended to achieve that by a means it had more an experience of – WAR, and hence the war, and hence the endless grievances, and hence the no peace no war situation. So what is the solution? The solution simply is a change in attitude. If you want REAL peace Mr Godefa, then craft a peaceful policy or idea NOT digging dirt and hatred.

Brother, this is not dirt or hatred, it’s history, in fact, it’s history of Ethiopian war crimes for which the Ethiopians (those who committed it) have refused to apologize. Those who want bring back the old imperial regime in Ethiopia do not even believe that their government had committed such crimes. Then there are also some of them who say, “it was the right thing to do”.
That said, the accusations are not directed against Weyane, with whom we have a history of struggle against common enemy, and strategic interests.
The history of Ethiopian occupation and the barbarity of it’s Army (Tor Serawit) is something that we have to continue telling our young generation in the same way the Ethiopians teach their young, about Italian occupation and Adwa victory over it’s invading armies.
Higdef is fascit clique, but Eritrean history is something that cannot be deleted because we want mend relations with our neighbors spoiled by them.
Regarding building good relations with all our neighbors, we have to wait until we have an elected government. We will see then how much Ethiopian governments respect their small neighbor and international laws.
