This is not surprising, how can businesses survive tight government control of thhe economy and the Nakfa.
The tea , coffee, shops and restaurants were suffering because of shortage of sugar, tea, other condiments, and above all no electricity.
Few years ago I went to a restaurant and ordered foul, but there was no bread, and the owner has to prepare kicha right away.
Where ever you go when you ask for tea, they ask you to drink areki or jin in broad day light as there was no power. Some good people t tell you to go to other shops were they prepare shahi using charcoal.
Many businesses are dying for ever, and the economy is in shambles and beyond repair.
The dictator’s wish of kneeling down Eritrea and its people is nearly getting accomplished.
