Hi Mesfin,
Dear brother/son,, I read your article and felt like watching a horror movie of my own people. Each line took me into tears. I am asking God WHY our people to go thru this suffering. I was imaging myself in the darkness of Mediterranean and left alone. You guys passed horrible horrible situation. Let along being in the situation just reading it makes me sick to the stomach. My hearts goes to you and all the people touched by the tragedy. Your brother has a special place in my heart and so the people pershed in the deadly sea. I love your writing and it shines and it gives life to those left in dark sea of seath.

I understand you lost your brother, but you need to push your self for future and encourage your beloved mother. ኣንቱም ሰባት ካብ ሃዘን እኮ ትመርጾ ሃዘን ኣሎ። ብናትኩም ኣጠማምታ ናይዞም ኣብ ላምፔዱዛ ዝተቀዝፉ ዜጋታት ብማስ-ሚድያ (ዜና) ስለዝተዘረበሎምን ስለዝራእኩሞን ብዙህ ሃዘንን ድንጋጼን ኣውሪድልኩም ክከውን ይኽዕል እዩ። እቲ ሃቅን ብኣጠማምታ ኣምላኽ ተኾነ ግን፣ እቶም ብደይነጋሪን ኣብ ውሽጢ ሜዲትርያንያን ባሕሪ ሬስዖም ከይተረኸበ ቀለብ ኣሳ ዝኮኑ ናይልእሊ 400 ሚኢቲ ዜጋታት ሕይወትን ከምኡውን ብተመሳሳሊ ሃደጋ ጠፊዖም ናይ ሚድያ ጥራይ ጦብላህታ ስለዘይረኸቡ ብሕዝቢ ዘይተዘከሩ ግናስ ካብ ዓይኒ ኣምላኽ ጨሪሶም ክኽወሉ ዘይኽእ ሬስዖም ከይተረኽበ ቀለብ ኣሳ ዝኾኑ ግዳያት ምዃኖም ዝተገንዘብኩሞ ኣይመስለንን። በዚ ምኽንያት ዋላ ግዳያት ስድራ ላምፔዱዛ ንሬስዖም ከለልዩ ተዘይከኣሉ፣ ብዓይኒ እቶም ጦብላሕታ ከይረኸቡ ቀለብ ኣሳ ኮይኖም ዝተረፉ ግዳያት ክምዘን እንከሎ፣ እቶም ብዝከበረ ናይሬሳ ሳንዱቅ ግዳያቶም ክቅበሩን ክዝከሩን ዕድል ዝረኸቡ ስድራ ቁሩብ ዝሓሸ ምጽንናእ ዝርኸቡ ኮይኑ ይስምኣኒ። ከምቲ ኣብ (ድጒዓ ኤርምያስ ፬ይ ምዕራፍ ፍቅዲ ፱ )”ካብቶም ብጥሜት ዝሞቱ ብሰይፊ (ብውግእ)ይሔሾም፡” ተብሂሉ ከምዝተጸሓፈ ንምባል እዩ። ።
ተስፋ እገብር ሓውና መስፍን ዄንካ ካልዖት ግዳያት ቤተሰብ ከምቲ ቃል ኣምላኽ ዝብሎ፣

I am very sad and trying to feel your pain, Your loos of your younger brother is heavy
And unimaginable. I pray and hope the mighty lord gives you a strength and comfort.
Unfortunately the sad tragedy which shouldn’t happen had happened again in the
end of July not so far from Libya’s coast. We lost about 200 poor souls and one of them is
My sister in low. All my family is devestated specially my wife couldn’t bear the loos of her
sister. We are struggling every day to understand and wonder why this tragedy happen.
It is tough to go through this painful process.
My wife is mourning and I am very wary about her. I wont to help but apparently my help is not enough
and I need someone like you Mesfin, who went through the same loos to help me.

I really do not know what to say, Your story,In general my young Eritrean peoples’ story going through this nightmare is hard to explain.Dear Mesfin, you lost your beloved younger brother through this horrific situation.My condolence to you and to your family.However, It is our lose too.The saddest and weirdest thing is,this nightmare is still on going.We need to face the “MONSTER” who is chasing away our young people, in order for him to continue dictating and oppressing our people.Let’s stand up and fight back once and forever!!ENOUGH being victims.
